I finally got to put these to the test last week on a trip to Moab, UT. First of all, these boots are extremely comfortable out of the box. No break-in period needed. I hiked for several hours per day and the boots never agitated my feet. I did a ton of climbing and these boots gripped the rocks and dirt like a gecko. I weigh 255 lbs and the boots never slipped as I walked up the steep paths in Fisher's Tower and Arches National Park. I did another hike where we had to cross a stream on foot. I slipped off a rock and plunged my foot into creek water nearly up to the top off the boot. This happened several times. To my amazement, the boot was completely water proof. Not a single drop of water got into the boot. Everyone else in my hiking group had wet socks and had to dry out their boots for 2 days after they got so wet. Hoka has done it again with another amazing pair of hiking boots!

My husband has had problems with pain in his feet. Since switchung to Hokas, the pain is gone. I don't think he'll ever wear anything else! I'm glad you make more than just running shoes. So far, he has multiple pairs of Cliftons, Anacapa and Speedgoat.

Awesome comfort! I hiked in them for 8 hours the first day with no discomfort at all. Worth it!!

I am the Security, Safety and Emergency Management Manager at a Casino, so I walk all day. These boots are so light, they feel like tennis shoes and give great support. I think I am going to get the other color so I can wear them when I am off. I love the water resistance and lacing system looks hard but it is actually really easy. Good job Hoka on a great product!

This is my 6th pair of Hoka sports shoe and my 2nd pr of midrise Hokas. The Anacapa is so very comfy...i can wear walking, boxing, bootcamp, elliptical, or standing all day at work. I LOVE THESE SHOES!! The sole on the heel propells u forward when taking a step. I wear a ladies size 9. I bought a size 10, ladies anacapa and a size 8.5, mens anacapa. Love them both!

I've always loved Hoka products but this was the first time trying their hiker. I got this last minute as it was less bulky than the past models and was super light. We took them to a rough 10.5 loop up to the Stairway to Heaven w/o breaking them in and got no sores, sprained ankles, or water in them. There were direct that got in but that's normal but overall I'm very happy with the performance! Go Hoka!

the women's size 8 mid-boots were too narrow... tired the men's size 7... but too big... settled on the women's low hiker - very happy I did!

I use my shoes for work where I walk up 7-8 miles a night. I enjoy the comfort of the sole and overall design of the shoe. Thank you putting together such a great show / boot.

Super comfortable, light, and good looking! Would definitely purchase again.
