I really like these shoes, very cushioned but they must be made for people with pronation. It doesn’t say anything about that in the description. I supernate and these make it worse, really push my ankles out. Really disappointed I didn’t know that before wearing them out because of the return policy. Zappos should have that as a key part of the description.

I work in the medical field on my feet 8 and 12 hours days rooming patient. I have been having trouble with my feet swelling and hurting me by lunch, I wear a size 11 shoe I went up a half size to a 11.5 . The Clifton 8 help stop the swelling and and hurting. The Clifton 8 is so lite and so comfortable my legs and feet are not tried and sore it like the Clifton 8 give energy to go for the day.

i am a 67 year old male master runner - weight 165. i have a PR of 16:57 in the 5k , 4:13 1500, and a 1:13:50 in the half marathon ( all many years ago! ) i continue to run around 25 miles a week.
what i really like about the HOKA Clifton 8 is the smoothness of the shoe - by that i mean comfort, softness yet with enough firmness to hold my foot in place whether i am running up or down steeps, speed or trails. the shoe is light and comfortable. i have not gotten any blisters or sore spots, which sometimes happens when you switch to a new shoe.
i absolutely recommend this shoe!!

I have been running in Clifton's for several years now (my last pair were Clifton 5's). So far I've put around 55 miles on the Clifton 8's (mostly 5-7 mile runs). The Good: The Clifton 8's are light, comfortable, and breath well (and look good). The Bad: they seem to be bigger/wider than previous Clifton's, and/or the stretchy material makes them seem bigger. This means I really have to crank down my laces and my feet never really feel locked in (although it hasn't been a noticeable problem on runs). I also don't like the way the shoes are wearing - after 55 miles, there is a section of the foam outsole that has really started to wear (maybe it means I have a strange stride but it seems like a lot of wear for a shoe that I have run in for less than a month - not sure how these will hold up). Ultimately, I am on the fence about keeping these vs. returning them within the 30 day window.

Absolutely outstanding! I referee College and High School basketball. Hoka's Clifton 8 and even the Bondi 7's are the best. The most comfortable shoes that handle the wear and tear of the basketball court. Your feet, ankles, knees and back will thank you for taking care of them the next day. You can get these in all black and true to size. They also look great! Hope you'll continue to offer the color in all black as well. These shoes have extended mine and other officials careers!

I want to start by saying I'm a die hard Hoka Fan, I pre-ordered the Clifton 8 and immediately put it to use. I went through about 10 pairs of Clifton 7's alone and was very anxious about the Clifton 8 hitting. So far, my only concern is the material used on the inside of the show that lines it. I currently have about 30 miles on the Clifton 8 and I feel like my foot has some minimal movement inside the show due to the slick material lining the inside. That is my only concern!! I love the energy of the shoe and look forward to putting more miles on them, if others have the same issue I'm sure Hoka will make it right, great company!!

Have trained for multiple marathons each year in Cliftons for the past 4 years now. After a week with the new Clifton 8's there is no doubt these are my favorite!
Light, Comfortable, The cushion and responsive bounce made for such easy long runs this week without any major tiredness in feet or legs
Will likely be purchasing another pair to switch between for this years marathons & ultra's

I walk about 10 miles every night at work. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet. It's concrete and I had tried every shoe and insole to help my feet but with little success. I noticed everyone wearing Hokas. I had never heard of them before. I was at the mall a little early before the store I was going to opened but the sporting goods store was open so I thought I would look around. They had Hokas and as I was looking at a new pair of the same shoes I had loved and bought countless times over 27 years I asked about the Hokas. The Associate said Hokas had been around over 7 years but were just now getting popular, especially among nurses and people working on their feet all day. He recommended the Clifton. I left empty handed but started researching them and saw nothing but great reviews so I bought a pair. Wow! What a difference! I could not have ever imagined shoes feeling so good for so long! It was a revelation. My best friend is a mail carrier and I bought him a pair of Bondi because he was recovering from back surgery and about to go back to work. He could not believe how much better he felt physically after wearing them to work. He recommended a pair to his coworkers. I can't believe it took me so long to find these. I am now looking for another pair in a different style and color for work I love them so much.

I put at least a 5-K in a day walking in my Cliftons or Speedgoats (trails). The latest iteration of Clifton is fantastic both in feel-performance and style. Mike, Santa Barbara

These shoes are fantastic for people with sore swollen feet and medical issues. I just wish that every shoe that was a 4 E width wasn't always black-and-white. The shoes with the color are so much better. I bought these because I could make them work and I loved the bright color but admittedly they are a bit too small width. I have neuropathy as well as hardware, just a lot of things that cause discomfort and burning. These shoes alleviated those problems for me. I even returned and bought another pair that to my delight looks like tie-dye blue and white. I am in love with it. And by the way I'm a woman that has to buy men's shoes for the sizes so of course I would love it if the sizes and widths Were increase in the women's line

I like a wide toe box but the Hokas I have tried all are too wide in the heel and result in slipping.

When I opened the box and held one of the shoes in my hand I was shocked to notice the weightlessness of the shoe. The shoes themselves appear to be a little chunky from the side but don’t let that fool you. When I first put these shoes on I was impressed with the breathability of the material and the extra padding on the tongue and heel for support. The cushioning was icing on the cake. I’m not a runner. I hate running but damn I could go for a jog in these and not hate it. The cushioning is the best. Responsive and supportive without that memory foam sunken in feeling. The materials are top notch. Even the laces are superior. If you’re in the market for a lightweight and maximum cushioning shoe, definitely give these a look.

I’m a fat guy who wants to run so I researched the perfect shoe for guys like me. I was brought to this brand. The Hoka website has a shoe chooser app to let you know the perfect type for what you wanna do.
This was for concrete paths.
I chose this also because I have wide feet. These are snug and supportive and they feel good. Mind you I only wear them for 2 hours max. Not sure what they feel like after 10 hours on my feet. My preference is bare feet or flip flops, but if you need to walk jog or run I actually do recommend these shoes

I'm a middle-aged (59) casual runner, just trying to get back into running for fitness. I like a lightweight shoe to compensate for stockier legs than most folks--great for sprinting but not so much for distance/endurance... The shoes themselves are great. True to size, although they do seem a tad narrow for a "wide" size but my feet are shaped like a baseball home plate so the wide part of my foot extends further aft than most shoes are designed, so I'm not the best judge of that. Definitely a shoe for a neutral arch. The shoes themselves feel like good construction so far, and they do seem to have a good amount of shock absorption and rebound so they definitely help a plodder like me and I estimate they are a great shoe for more capable runners. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice shoe. Adjusting to cushion, but my feet are happy, knees happy, and overall comfort is great. In my case, they ran 1/2 size too big. Wear brooks size 12, theses 11 1/2. Great shoe

Been a runner my whole life. Best running shoes I’ve ever had. So light and comfortable. I actually don’t feel the impact on my joints as much as the other brands out there and I keep thinking to myself, “how come I haven’t tried these sooner!?” Will definitely buy another pair.

I run mostly trails and am devoted to Speedgoats, but I needed a pair of shoes for occasional road running. These Clifton 8's are perfect for me. Light, comfortable, and fit great - everything I expected. No break-in period needed and after the first 100 miles they're still going strong.

I typically were a size 13 in ASCIS Kayano and selected a Size 13 in the HOKA Clifton 8. The HOKA is a little too big and seems wide in the fore foot area.
I should've selected a 12.5 in size.
