I have been running on the Hoka Speedgoat 5 for years. Decided to try the Bondi for a little more cushioning as I get older. It didn't disappoint. The cushioning is about right it seems to be a little more stable than the Speedgoat. I plan to alternate the two shoes to get more life out of them. Overall, I'm a big fan of Hoka shoes and still feel they are the best on the market

This is my everyday trainer. For years I ran in Newtons. Then, I dunno, I got older. My tendons shortened. I needed more of a drop. The Bondi has that. Plus the cushioning, it feels good. But because of the carbon plate, I don't feel like I've taped a bag of marshmallows to each foot. These shoes are still quick with the proper energy return. I'll still race in flats, but on race days there's no expectation for blissful comfort. My last 3 pairs of Bondi's have been all over the world. I rarely make changes, so this was a big one.

This is a great shoes that I use for daily training and long runs. They provide benefits of cushion and carbon plate. I used them to run 2 marathons and couldn't be more happier. Highly recommend.

I own about 10 pairs of Hoka shoes and they are the best.I have tried other brands but always come back to the HOKAS.Only thing I wish was they would have a sale for previous customers to get a little better pricing.

Just came back from a run in these. I don't know what others are saying about this shoe, and I care either. I'm 5'9 and I weight about 215lbs and carry it well. Ok, I'm a heavy runner and this is a nice running shoe. The front has enough room for my foot to, not narrow. I thought the rear was going to be a problem because it had some hight BUT it points up a bit so I don't scuff the back of the shoe when I start to get sloppy when I'm running when I get tired. It feels like there is more support around the rim of the bottom because when I come down my foot sinks a bit, I love that because it feels really cushiony and its balanced. What I did find is that there's a bit of a dip in the front, not bad though it's fine. I usually run in bondi 7 and there is no dip at all which I love. These have a tad bit of a dip BUT you don't really feel it while walking, it's really nice for a walk. All in all I love this shoe and this will be one of my favorite running shoes like the bondi 7.

Am in my late 40s training for triathlons and marathons. These shoes brought back my love for running and I am on my third pair over the past 2 years replacing them when they get high mileage. Am sad to see the pair I ordered from another vendor will be my last. Please bring back another carbon plate shoe Holka

Super comfortable. First week felt wider than I'm accustomed to, but eventually I didn't notice.

The Bondi X is the perfect balance of cushion and speed. I am disappointed that these seem to be discontinued.

The shoe feels great. Very cushioned with stability. I went a full size down from what Hoka recommended and I’m glad I did, because the materials stretched enough after 4 wears that they’re no longer overly snug and extremely comfortable. They are very similar to ASICS Novablast, but have a wider overall sole, which I appreciate after total hip replacement. Great shoe, but I do recommend Scotchgard for the white.
I'd also recommend:
ASICS, Allen Edmonds Cordovan line and Red Wing Heritage

These shoes have the padding and stability I needed to help me get past my plantar fasciitis. I plan to stick with these shoes until Hoka's next breakthrough in protection.

Provides great cushion and stability. My plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis has both decreased since switching to the Bondi X. Liked it so much, I bought a second pair a week later.
