So disappointed in these, my feet have never been more uncomfortable! Heels feel like they hit the floor, my toes are going numb....absolutely not suitable for 12 hours a day of being a nurse! Time to try something new.

This is my third pair of Hoka Cliftons. Disappointed in these compared to the Clifton 7s. Not as much cushion and do not fit as snug. I've given these a try, but they are just not as comfortable. I've gone from "I never want to take these (Clifton 7) off," to "Meh, they're all right, I wouldn't buy them again." Why does Hoka not make the 7s any longer?

Left arch was very sore and red after a short wearing. Maybe too narrow at mid-foot. Toe box was great and felt soft except arch. Too much arch support

The left shoe the tongue is torn where it attached to the instep side. I’m going to return and try again because the shoe fits well. Just disappointed in quality.

They're okay. I'm not totally sure what I expected, but I do t find these much different than any other good athletic shoe.

The laces were tied in knots when I got them out of the box. The material that the laces are made of, as a result, is very wrinkled and doesn’t look new. Another aspect that I disliked is that there are orange letters/numbers almost like serial numbers printed on the outside of each shoe. I double checked, and thisis NOT pictured on the website. I really don’t like that, even though it’s small. Why wouldn’t Hoka print that on the bottom or on the inside? They feel great on, like all Hokas. But the things I am displeased with make the expensive price tag for these not worth it. For $140, they need to be perfect. As usual though, Zappos has great customer service which is why I keep coming back to shop here.

This shoes is not that comfortable or soft! I am very disappointed in the 8's revision. The Clifton 6's were like clouds on my feet and made me knees SO happy with running, walking, and everything. The 6s made my running and walking life had been liberated from pain. The Clifton 7's were okay and only slightly different, but not as nice as the 6's. The Clifton 8 is not cushioned and feels like a lesser shoe. Hard, flat, not wrapping my foot nicely. It's just a disappointment, I do not recommend.

I work as an ICU nurse, 12 hour shifts 14k steps daily. I have worn cliftons since the OG neon pair were born. The 7s were my favorite to date. Covid made it impossible to find in my size after the 8s were released and I'm so sad. Ive given them a full month to get better and am going to toss them (don't feel food returning after being in covid environment). The sole is so stiff and cushioning isn't the same. I feel just plain uncomfortable by the end of the day. I am going to give the new Rincon 3s a try until I find a pair of 7s hidden somewhere ha! Please Hoka reconsider the 7s design!

The Hokas felt true to size. The width was perfect and were light on my feet. However, if you need extra comfort in the bed of the foot these are not the shoes for you. During a test run, the bottom of my feet instantly hurt and I had to return them.

Fit was perfect but since I got these to replace my 2-yr old Hoka One One's (that I bought to help ease my plantar fasciitis*) I am returning them because compared to the previous One One's there is NO cushion or arch support in these at all. But, if you are looking for a super light shoe and don't mind the lack of support, you can't beat this for lightness! *Don't know the number for these Hoka One One's.

These are not nearly as comfortable or well made as the Clifton 7. Beware of narrower foot bed and overall lack of cushioning around the ankle. They seem very cheaply made. Third pair of Hoka's - will not buy them again.

I can't really say much about these because I returned them. I was told they're good for wide feet but that was not the case. I found them to be way too narrow. I tried to wear them for one day at work and my feet hurt because they were being squeezed so much. My feet were literally hanging off the sides and I don't even have that wide of feet, really. The length was also pretty weird. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 and I was probably a 8.5 or 9 in these. It was a bummer because I really wanted these to work. I thought they looked cool and I was excited to try all the hype for Hoka. Maybe I'll try another Hoka shoe sometime.

I buy this brand all the time from my local running store. Unfortunately they are not able to guarantee my order due to what’s going on with shipping. I decided to buy them online and was not pleased. One of my shoes fit fine the other one was tight. Like they were made differently. Unfortunately I had to return them. I guess I’ll I have to try and find a store that has them in stock.

I LOVE the Clifton 8's and thought this color ("Together") was going to be the best ever. Unfortunately, seeing it 'live' was super disappointing. There is a super odd and NOT very attractive mint green color that spans the tongue of the shoes and wraps around the tops (where your foot enters the shoe) AND this same color was used for the laces. It totally ruined the look IMO. It's the COLOR, not the shoe itself that is prompting me to return them. I loved the funky blue splash and the orange-ish color on the rubber sole, but that mint green was a terrible choice. You can't really see it in the pictures online, but it's in your face when you have the actual shoes.
I'd also recommend:
I love Hokas. Clifton 8s are my favorite, just be careful of the colors.

Though it took about a week to get used to these, I find them very comfortable. Unfortunately they're falling apart after only two and a half months. The inside ankle cushion has developed a hole and the soles are peeling off both shoes already. For the price and all the great reviews I read about Hoka, I'm super disappointed and bummed that I have to buy a new pair of shoes already. For the record, I only wear these for my daily exercise (walking).

The Clifton’s felt at least a half size too large. Way too oversized to wear, I returned them.

I normally wear a 10 but they felt as though my toes were swimming in the front of my shoe. I purchased a 9.5 thinking that would be the appropriate fit. After wearing a few hours the top of my feet were killing me. I thought it was just me standing all day but everytime I wore them it caused excruciating pain across the tip of my feet. I ended up giving them away. I sure wish they worked out because the color is soo cute!

These shoes are fine. After all of the hype and for the money, I was expecting them to be the most amazing shoes I had ever worn. They are fine. Comfortable, but big-ish and they have started to wear down already after one month.

This is my first Hoka purchase. I am still trying to decide how I feel about them. I feel numbness in my toes on one foot after my runs. I'm hoping this is an adjustment period and this will eventually subside. I love the weight of them, and the color, but the fit is still up in the air.

I am a loyal Cliffton fan and have purchased numerous pairs of the 6's and 7's. The 8's are the first pair that I absolutely cannot stand (this applies to RUNNING ONLY, I am sure they're great for walking). Their attempt at making a comfortable upper has completely sacrificed structure and it is so hard to feel secure in these. No matter how I tie them, I do not feel stable in these on my runs. I bit my tongue for 200 miles to get my money's worth but will not be pushing it to ~400 Ish like I can with the Clifton 7's or Mach 4s. If you're a serious runner and looking for a new pair, buy the Clifton 7's or Mach 4's... way better combo of comfortability and structure/support around the ankle and in the upper.

If you love the 7 like I do, do not purchase these shoes. They are different than the seven and actually hurt my feet.
