The arch is very hard and has a sharp edge on top. I purchased Wide and they seemed narrow I think because the sole flares out from top to bottom so it's not a true Wide size.

I’ve bought various styles of Hoka the last 10 years. The sizing is inconsistent in the same style as is the comfort, for example one shoe feels like it has less cushion than the other or if changing color the size is different. This is very frustrating as these sneakers are well made and full of support.

tongue was sown incorrectly so my foot hurt and I returned them as it was jabbing side of my foot and the tongue is thicker than normal.
I'd also recommend:
Ricon 2 if they ever come back in

My sneakers got wet at the bottom of it and from that day it doesn't stop making noise (skreak) and I don't even have it for 2 months.

I wish I would've returned these shoes within the 30 day window. I was hoping they just needed to be broken in but I still find the bottom of my feet hurting after going for a run, or even just wearing for a walk or a day of running errands. Love the look of the shoes but that's really it.

I love Hoka's these are my third pair so I was very disappointed with the cushioning. It said there was more but there definitely is not. Very disappointed considering the cost. I kept them because I didn't get to wear them much before the time ran out to send back.

I tried on a pair in a store and they felt great. I didn't like the color so I went online. Maybe I picked a different style but what I got was not as comfortable.

I had these for a month and a half and maybe wore them 15 times and they are already ripped by my heel.

I liked the shoe at first as I like how it fits the heel snugly. However, they are a little long and wide. But I was afraid the next smaller size would be too small. The biggest issue is the wide width in the front area of the shoes.

I bought these shoes a little while ago and have always felt that my left shoe has had a crack in the sole so that anytime the shoe moved while walking it felt like the crack would open and then close on my foot. A very weird feeling that caused me not to wear the shoes very often. At this price point this shouldn't be an issue. I still give HOKA two stars because I LOVED my right shoe. I just want them both to feel the same. I contacted HOKA and they're going to work through the matter on their end, so I'm shipping the shoes back and hoping to exchange them for a good pair. I'll update if the issue is fixed!

Very strange fit- too much lift under lateral side of shoe- that is the only place where I felt contact under my feet. Very uncomfortable.

My daughter has the Clifton 8 in a size 9 and they are a big big on her. So I ordered appropriately and the 9.5 was smaller than the pair of size 9.0 Hokas!

My foot sloshed around in the shoe while running, cause my knees and hips to hurt.
I have fee that are on the wider side, but I always just order normal size shoes. The shoes, even at the normal width were super wide. I ended up giving them to my mom, who has very wide feet, and they fit her well.

After wearing a pair of Clifton7 for about a year for exercise (gym and walking), I replaced them with these Clifton 8s. Yes, they're comfortable. But, after two months of daily power walks (totalling c. 75 miles), the tread on the soles is wearing thing; if these were tires, I'd need new tires. (I tried to upload a picture of the wear pattern, but the upload keeps stalling.)

Fit and size are true to suze but what I don’t like about clifton 8 is the mesh is not like clifton 7. It’s easily deformed and very thin. I love clifton 7. I won’t buy recommend this.

I loved my first pair and wore them out! Was so excited for this pair 60 days later my right foot is covered in blisters. I have no idea what changed from the Clifton 7 to the Clifton 8 but I think these will be my last HOKAs. So disappointing. Ps. I'm more of a long fast walker with jogging and sprints throughout. But these blisters aren't happening from long runs.

I really like the Clinton 7 but can't find it, so I ordered the 8. Comfort not close to the 7. Outside looks great. Unfortunately I had to return them.

Over the years I have purchased over a dozen pair of Hokas, various models. (My spouse has too, so between us we've probably owned over 30 pair.) I wear not-wide for daily wear, but use wides for running. I wanted to switch from Bondi to Clifton, primarily for the forward roll, and just for a change since I've been running in Bondi for years. These Clifton 8 (size 8.5 wide) are not as wide as my very recent Bondi 8.5 wide. Very frustrating. I am keeping them for daily wear, but had to order men's Clifton 8 in size 7.5 EE, which are the width I have come to expect. Hoka has had issues with width complaints for years now. What is the problem?!?

Does not feel like a $100+ shoe. The top felt flimsy especially. Zero support or structure. These are cushioned to the point of being squashy and will exacerbate any existing inflammation or under-pronation. I have a chronically inflamed Achilles and some plantar fasciitis, and I had brand new pain in my legs after wearing these for only 20 minutes.

This is my 7th pair of Hoka's. I normally love them and they are the only shoes I will buy. But the last pair before this, the bottoms wore off in record time. I am an average walker. I don't walk/run a ton, a few days a week maybe. The bottoms just word down in a hurry. The new pair for this review that I bought because of the quickly wearing bottoms of the old ones have been tossed to the side because I threw the box away and could not return them. I wore them maybe three times. The third time of running on the tread mill the shoe felt "dead". Like there was no support. The first day of wearing they were fine but did leave a blister. Never had Hoka's do that to me however. I cannot use the shoes for any kind of workout. Wearing to the store or around the house but definitely not for what I bought them for. Like I said, I would have returned but I tossed the box because I've always had great luck with my Hokas. These were not remotely worth my hard earned money. Like I said, normally LOVE them and have several pairs to pick from. They were my go to. But this round has me questioning if I will spend my money again on them. Sorry.... Hate leaving bad reviews and have never had to but this shoe was a negative for me.
