One shoe seems to have a seam that rubs against that round bone on the inside of a foot just below the ankle. I can't wear it if I can't figure out some way to stop that. I can't even walk a few blocks much less hike miles. Other shoe is fine as is the rest of the one with the rubbing. They feel very comfy and the ankle fees well stabilized.

I wanted to loves these. Lightness A+. The only problem was the 3rd eye hook dug in right above my ankle. I wore them for 7 miles, when descending down the trail is when the eye hooks were a problem.

Great foot/arch support and padding. But I'm surprised that, for the only pair of hiking boots that seems to be available from Hoka, they provide so little support for anything else. I took these on a series of hikes in the mountains and was impressed that I didn't get any blisters and the padding was so comfortable. At the same time, my ankles were consistently wobbling and rolling even in these high-top hiking boots, and the low heel profile caused my (dormant for a decade) achilles tendonitis to flare up. I wish Hoka made some boots that provided better all-around support and not just padding for those of us who have more than one type of foot pain!

Unfortunately my toes ran into the front of the shoe when walking. It felt like the shoes had a slight downward slope so they just weren't comfortable for me even though it was the right shoe size. Super bummed! Will try different styles.

I really love the look and feel of these hiking boots and wanted to love them based on all the stellar reviews I read. However, after trying them on and wearing them around the house there were two things that didn't work for me: they made my feet hot and something rubbed on my inner ankles. Sadly I had to return them, but I'm sure these will work for others. They're definitely worth a try.

Super light. Not the cutest shoes. Fit very comfortably but not as comfortable out of the box for hiking. Great traction. Not too hot for summer hikes. Waterproof. But my planter fasciitis didn't feel as supported as with other Hoka shoes

What would otherwise seem to be an awesome hiker, these boots are not available in wide, which is a surprise given the thicker socks recommended for hiking. I usually wear regular widths but these are way too narrow. Please please make them available in WIDE - same color selections too please. Thank you

It could be improved with more supportive insole.

These are not as comfortable as the other Hoka products I have purchased. I thought they might work for my daily walks in the woods but they hurt my feet. Disappointed.

I love the boot, right down to its laces, but the narrow width presents a problem for me.

I've never had such a rough time breaking in a new pair of hiking boots. I have numerous blood blisters on my left foot. They come back with each wear.

These boots are light and comfortable on the foot bottoms. My only concern was that the shoe is SO light that the laces could be "felt" digging in a bit in the ankle. I was worried that on a long downhill this might start to hurt... Could be lacing mistakes on my part.

After a few hikes in these I had to return them. I could feel every rock & they just did not fit my feet well. I love all my other Hokas & wanted to love these but they just didn't work. I am exchanging them for a different pair. They were difficult to lace & the toe box felt way too roomy.

I have the higher boot and wanted a shorter one. The shoe was too short; I have 13 pair of Hoka’s and all are 6.5 but this one felt like a 6. Also, I have a high arch and had zero problem w the higher boot but the lower boot had zero give in the tongue and I had to force my foot into the shoe. So between forcing and too short, these were immediately returned.

I have the higher boot and wanted to get a pair w/ the lower ankle. What a difference between the two!!! I have a high arch and w/ the way these are designed, I could not without a lot of difficulty get my foot into the boot!! There is no ‘give’ in the middle tongue area. Second, they ran short! I am a true 6.5 in 99% of the shoes I buy but 100% in HOKA…..not these! My toe was definitely rubbing the end in a very lightweight sock! Love the color and shape but definitely not a good fit and returning.

I really liked the style of these, so I decided to give them a chance. I took them on a long hike in the Grand Canyon. Walking in them was pretty comfortable for a while, but then they started rubbing my feet. When we arrived, I had huge blisters on the backside of my toes on both feet, blisters on the inner side of my feet, and blisters around my ankles. I've had a pair of cheap Columbias before these and didn't have that problem. Generally, they felt too narrow and constricting around my ankle. The pluses: definitely waterproof, lightweight, seem durable, very nice style, and good traction.

I LOVE every pair of Hoka running shoes I have ever purchased, however, this particular style of hiking boots I did not care for. I ordered the same size I get for running shoes but the boots seemed a little long and a little narrow. I got a blister on the inside f my left heal from it rubbing where the sole pad meets the side of the shoe. The right boot rubbed too hard on my inner ankle bone causing great discomfort. I was really psyched about these and taking them on my trip to Banff National Park in Canada for a lot of serious hiking but wish I would have stuck to my old hiking boot brand. Will definitely keep buying the Hokas for running but will stick to something else for hiking!

The cushion was just not there typical of a hoka. I also experienced pinching of my toes which never happens in my other beloved hokas.

I really wanted to like these. They're super cute, the purple is pretty & they're well made. BUT I wore them around my house for several hours & they were so tight on the top of my feet (I loosened the shoe string as much as I could) but I knew they weren't idea for hiking & would just feel worse when my feet swell. I am an average sized person, I don't need wide shoes in anything else. It might help to offer these in a wider option tho.

I have two low-top pairs of Hokas that I love, but the top lace grommets were very uncomfortable and dug into my ankles. I returned these

I liked the original speedboat gtx. Can't find a replacement that are as good as the speedboat. Sorry, but it's the truth. I work in healthcare, just too rigid. These are well made, just not squishy enough.

Usually, I can't wait to slip into my Hokas. These ones disappointed. I didn't find them terribly comfortable. They were extremely brick-like and I just found that I didn't really want to wear them anywhere. My husband also got a pair and says he has started to like his more as he wears them... For me, these were a return. I'm waiting for the new Speedgoat mids...
