Beautiful construction and design, but these definitely run super narrow. I'm trying a half size up in hopes that they will fit better, so we'll see! For reference I'm a pretty true US 8/ EU 38 and I need to go up at least to a 8.5.

This boot is beautiful and elegant. People compliment them all the time. However, they run a little narrow through the ball of the feet, so if your feet are wide, you'll probably want a half size up.

These boots look great and are well-constructed. The shape and color is refined and I really like the low heel, which can be hard to find in a Chelsea boot.
My only negative is that I am usually a very standard size 9, which is what I ordered, but the toe space is cramped and slightly uncomfortable. Maybe consider ordering half a size up?
Also, I really wish these boots were offered in a cognac color!

These are beautiful, comfortable, super well made. I just wish all of Nisolo's shoes didn't have such a pointy toe. Too formal for me, especially for a Chelsea Boot.

They take breaking in because they’re all leather, but are very comfortable. Unfortunately the tab on the back of one of them came unstitched after a week of wear, it’s not like I was yanking them on using that tab so I don’t know what’s wrong with quality control. My other Nisolos (this is my 6th pair) haven’t had that kind of flaw. The rubber sole on the heel seems to be wearing down quickly after a few days of city walking, so that’s disappointing.

This is a beautifully crafted boot, but unfortunately, it was not even close to a realistic shape for my foot. It runs very narrow (which barely worked for my narrow feet), but the toe extends as a perfect triangle, so there's no widening for the natural width of the ball of the foot. I would not recommend this for anyone who has any degree of a bunion, or who might be concerned about ones developing from overly narrow and pointed shoes. I had better luck with the sandals I ordered!

I love everything about these boots (the shape and color is amazing), but the fit was off for me, and unfortunately I tried several things to try to make it work (as my heel kept popping up in the back), but nothing seemed to work. I really wish I could have made these work because they are truly amazing boots, but I'm hoping the next time works out!

The fit seems exactly the same on these, but the # sizes have changed, like shoe vanity sizing. This 7.5 fits exactly like the 8s I have from the old fit which is too narrow. I'm a 7 in everything, rarely a 7.5, but sized up to 8 in Nisolo. Ordered 7.5 even after brand rep told me I should be ok with 7 but order 7.5 for thicker socks. Not so. It's like they just took the 8 and stamped 7.5, but it's still too narrow! So disappointed!!! I do not have wide feet.

Good: I love, love, love the look of the shoe and more so that it's ethical. It's of high quality and simply beautiful.
Cons: 1) the bottom has no traction so I slip around when I walk on smooth surfaces. Literally couldn't hold the door open for a friend since my shoes we slipping. 2) the inside is also slippery so it squeaks when I walk due to friction from a slightly damp sock and flat leather. Very embarrassing to have squeaky shoes in a quiet office.
Factor into your purchase 1) leather conditioner if you don't have it 2) shoe inserts to reduce squeaking and for added comfort 3) shoe traction pads for the bottoms

These look SO beautiful in the photos on the website, and I really want to love them, but.... they're just not that attractive ON a human. First of all, they're not flattering: the ankle hole, maybe because it is partly elastic, is really, really skinny, which is super-unflattering. I definitely can't (won't) wear them with tights, like ever because they make my legs look stumpy and awkward in shape/length... Maybe if you are matchstick-thin, they'd look okay. (For reference, I'm usually a size small, and wear size 4 in jeans...) Even with skinny jeans, I find myself passing on them and reaching for my trusty (and flattering) Frye boots again and again. One more thing: they look weirdly lumpy because the leather is thin or soft, I guess? which means that my pinky toes and big toes are sort of visible through the leather. Maybe some tweaks to the design would help? Sorry, Nisolo, I really wanted to love them!

I want to like these boots, but the fit is still an issue after 6-8 wears. Mainly, it's that the elastic goring on the outside of the boot is rubbing uncomfortably against my ankle bone. Hoping that with a little more stretch-out time will help. Also, as others have noted, boots are slippery. Walking on dry pavement is fine...but so far, if the ground is a little bit wet, it compromises traction. Bigger still, is wearing indoors and trying to walk on the waxed hallways at work. Again, hoping time will fix this, but would have expected some of these issues to begin to dissipate since I've worn them 6-8 times for extended periods.

I'm petite (5') with a small foot (size 5 or 5.5), so I knew I took a gamble when I bought this boot in the smallest size available, size 6. I read a ton of reviews saying you needed to size up in this one, so I thought it would be okay. And it was, in some respects. With really thick socks and adding a shoe insert, I think I could have made this boot work. However, they just looked too big and clunky somehow on my small frame and the boot looked too long. The boot also hit me in a weird spot above my ankle and I could tell it would rub really bad unless I had longer socks on. I really wanted to make this boot work, but the comfort, fit, and style did not agree with me. Please make your shoes in smaller sizes!

They're beautiful in pictures but not-so-flattering in person. The ankle opening is strangely narrownot in an uncomfortable waythey look awful with tights + dress/skirt. I like that they're light, which makes them very comfortable, but that also means the leather has wrinkled quickly and looks kind of cheap. I was super excited about this company, but probably won't buy Nisolo again.

I sprayed these with a leather protector before wearing for the first time. The tips of the boots have slight scuffing after 10 wears, which I wasn't anticipating for a high-quality, leather boot. I'm a not disappointed in the overall construction given the price of these.

Love the style. Unfortunately, after two weeks of walking around in them, the sole on the right boot delaminated. I was expecting them to last much longer.

I like how well made these boots are and the overall look. I really like how easy they are to pull on. But they are too narrow, so I returned them.

I lusted after these boots for about a year before I actually purchased them. However, they're not perfect. The toe box is super narrow, so I had to exchange for one size bigger. Outside of the sizing, the sole is just extremely slippery. Polished concrete? Slideeeee. Wet cobblestone? Slideeee. Marble? Slideeee
Wish I could love thesebut i think we're all better off with the commuter boots.

When I received these boots, I was very excited. I was looking to upgrade to a boot that I could get resoled as needed, instead of replacing every year or two. I read the care instructions very carefully, wore them in house a few hours at a time to break in, put on sole protectors, etc. Unfortunately, the second time I wore them outside, the back tab ripped. I emailed customer service, they offered to send me a label to have the tab repaired by their preferred cobbler or to get it repaired locally and have that cost reimbursed. I opted to get it repaired by their preferred cobbler. When the boot came back, the repair job was just awful; stitches were missing, thread was hanging off and there was a big gob of shoe glue. To their credit, when I reached out and showed them photos of the repair, they offered me a refund or replacement. I opted to go with a different style of boot, because it seems like this one fundamentally has construction issues with the tab. I seriously commend their dedication to sustainable solutions, I would not have minded wearing the repaired boot if I had any faith that the repair was done properly. Their customer service has been top notch, but I think there are some quality control issues that should be addressed.

I love the shape of this boot and the triangle elastic on the side that makes this a unique chelsea. After reading reviews I did order a size up but the boot feels clunky and oversized instead of sleek the top of the boot is taller on my ankle than I expected.
The quality is also not nearly what I expected, especially for the price. There is black paint/polish from the shoe upper clearly smudged on the edge of the brown sole as if someone literally painted the shoe and did a messy job.
I've had the shoes for a few weeks now so still breaking in, but definitely not impressed with the sizing situation. Overall I still like these but could have gotten a comparable pair for half the price at a department store where I would have actually been able to try them on and ensure proper fit.

The website suggested sizing up so I got an 8 even though I'm normally a 7.5, and unfortunately the boots are huge on me. I like the way they look, but the fit isn't ideal.

I was tempted to return these when I got them, but I decided to be patient and break them out, which took weeks of wearing them before it was comfortable. Now just a month and a half after receiving my shoes, the leather where my toes bend most is splitting open. Even cheap $50 fake leather boots don't do that. I haven't worn them in rough climates, storms, or rocky environments. Mostly out and about and at work. With the brand's reputation, I'm sure it might just be a faulty pair. I hope so. But at least be prepared to break them in for a while. The look amazing and sophisticated, and are perfect for every day.

The boots definitely run narrow. I sized up half a size and still found it too narrow. I tend to have narrow feet, and they are still too narrow for me. I brought them to the cobbler to get topy-ed. The cobbler took one look at them and said "whoa, those are narrow!" Also, the left boot was definitely more narrow than the right. My friend has her left foot one half size bigger than her right, and she tried it on and still found the left one tighter. We also measured the height of the toe space between each boot, and could visibly see that the left had less space than the other. I'll have to spend additional money to get the shoes stretched by the cobbler, which is quite a hassle.

I ordered a half size up (from 7.5 to 8) but after wearing these shoes out and about, I wish I had purchased an 8.5-- the pointed toe has still been bit harsh on wider feet like mine. They're comfortable enough for a desk job, but if your commute involves walking, you'll definitely feel it later. They're such beautiful shoes, I wish they had fit me better!

I love the look of these boots, and they seem really well made, but I swear they are a size smaller than marked. I've been trying to stretch out the leather for weeks, but the blisters and throbbing won't quit. Size up!
