Super fast! Carbon plate gives a little more spring than my Noosa Tri 13's. Love the colorway, but with there were more to choose from.

Use these for everything from intervals to base runs although I won't be using them in any races. They're definitely a light and fast shoe but lack the bounce of the Novablast which uses the same midsole foam. Still a snappy shoe. The traction has been pretty great for me. I've done 400's in the snow in these and didn't have very much trouble with my footing compared to some other shoes in my rotation. This is my second pair so I'm still keeping them in the rotation.

I was a fan of the flytefoam blast on the novablast, so I decided to try the foam with the carbon fiber plate EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS! The upper mesh isn't as flexible so I would recommend going half a size up. I had some issues with the heel of the shoe digging into my Achilles but nothing a band-aid can't fix. The shoe is amazing and you can catch me in the streets saying kachow!

I have really enjoyed these running shoes. They have a nice lively feel to them when running, they pretty light and breath very well too. The only 2 things I would like to point are that the tongue is not padded. This is not a bad thing for my feet, how ever it may fit differently for others. Secondly I have noticed the tongue slides down ever so slightly after a long run. This could be fixed if they had placed the little loop for the laces a little higher up on the tongue of the shoe. Overall these shoes have been a pleasure to throw on my feet for long or short distances.

Light-weight, good engineered upper mesh, highly-responsive and fast. Cushion is medium to firm.

Great for those who like a firm, light, minimally padded shoe.

Great fit, sized true as opposed to their oleer models where I had to size down. Feels fast, and well put together!

Top rated running shoe for me. Fits like a glove, light in weight and the color is spot on. Many compliments regarding the shoe. Recently did 13 miles in them and it was a smooth ride. I already have two pairs and looking forward to more color ways and getting another

Even though the Meta Racers were not made in size 14 and I had to wear a size 13, I still loved them enough to wear three different color ways. When I saw them offered in a size 14, I jumped on the chance to buy them. I took them on an 11 mile run in the mountains with a 5.5 mile climb on a bike trail. They fit perfectly for me. The shoe seemed to nothing as I glided up to Copper Mountain. On the way down, they allowed me to fly down the path!I kept waiting for them to feel uncomfortable, but they kept me bounding the path. I hardly took the Meta Racers over 10 miles, because they were a tad tight during marathon training. However, the Magic Speed will see some 20 mile or more runs. They will be some great marathon training long speed runs! I only wish ASICS sold all their shoes in size 14! My scores below are not dog of the shoe. For my purposes, they were a perfect 10. My purposes, I wanted them a tighter fit, a little narrower, and a firm responsive ride, i didn't need a soft unresponsive shoe and Magic Speed nailed it with a size 14 offering!

Shoe is definitely a little on the firmer side from what I'm used to but I've had zero issues with it. I've seen people say it's wide and people say it's narrow but it fits my foot well. Only have 25 miles on them but have not had any hot spots or pain. Very nice up-tempo shoe that gets it done. Don't think it will be a half marathon shoe for me but should fair very well for 5k-10k and great for speed work. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Not sure about the magic, but these are definitely nice and light. Good shoes for racing but seem like they wouldn't hold up to a lot of miles. Seem kind of flimsy, but I guess if you want a light shoe something has to go. Love the plate in the forefoot. Gives a nice boost on every step. I have been using them for tempo runs and really like them.

I wanted to get a plated shoe for races and decided to give these a shot. They are peppy and responsive -a great half marathon shoe. I think these might really help my time in shorter efforts like 5 and 10k races.

Very responsive and well made shoe. Great for those long training days. My only complaint is the tongue is super thin. Easy to fold it under and cause some hot spots on the top of your foot.

This was my first carbon plate shoe, and I am an ASICS loyalist. Currently rotating through Kayano 27, Hyper Speed and Sortiemagic LT2. The fit of the Magic Speed with a little more snug and rigid than those others for the first run or two, but then everything seemed to feel right. I religiously limit my running minutes to steer clear of overuse injuries, and when I exceed my those limits, I usually feel the penalty right away. The Magic Speed is the first shoe that I felt okay with a little overtime, with no ripple effects the next few days. I'm not sold on the carbon plate vs. traditional yet, but I am definitely impressed with the first few weeks.

Nice, responsive shoe. I have wide feet and these provide adequate room in the toe box. Not super squishy, which I like. But if you like a lot of cushion, this might not fit your needs. Good entry/ cost effective introduction to the world of carbon plated shoes.

This shoe is a budget racer/tempo trainer. Not the most comfortable, so I'm questioning whether to use it for my next half marathon, but this would be a definite winner for the 5k/10k distances where speed is the priority. The upper is very thin, breathable and lightweight. tongue could be 1/2 inch longer. Has a firm ride with a nice rocker design, and the carbon plate gives it a little extra pop.

Not entirely a true to size. It was a half size too small. Toe banging occurred. But overall a spectacular shoe.

I ordered a pair as my ninth pair of Asics shoes, but this pair is small and tight, specifically the toe box is narrow. I should have ordered one size bigger. While walking, I feel the cushioning from the midfoot to the heel, but the forefoot is stiff. When jogging, it has a roll feeling like the Ride series. When running faster than 8 min/mile, I feel more response from the road thanks to the carbon plate.
