I love these shoes. I have had both knees replaced and needed support and balance. I had another slip on brand but was wobbly. I wear them continually for going to gym, walking outside and general wear. Yeah laces are long so I double knot them. I'm more concerned about the stability these shoes provide as I also have neuropathy. Working w my trainer, my stability and balance have greatly improved since I started wearing these shoes 8 months ago. Confident enough in these shoes to be going on a tour of Poland, Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia that will include a lot of walking and variable weather conditions. I had the black and finally purchased the pebble. Obviously I strongly recommend them!

First do not let the lower collective rating effect your purchase....IF youare not one of these other reviewers that some how think the MOST important part of the sneakers build and performance and over all value is the laces. How any reasonably sane person can state the shoes fit great and are comfortable but give it one star because the laces are too long or come untied!?! I seriously hope I never have to deal with people in my buisness like the 1 star lace group on these reviews. Like you can not get any lace length color or material for $2-$5 at countless stores. But no I am suppose to disregard the great workmanship and comfort of these shoes and give them the lowest rating possible because laces are too long or I never learned how to tie a proper lace up knot that locks in but still allows untie by pulling on either tag end and yes still is a double bow or loop knot. Simply cross over the laces (over under) instead of once do it a second time. Then form your two loops how ever you choose but instead again loop over under 2x instead of once. Pull tight adjusting for loop and tag end length. The extra over under of the intial and lions increases lace to lace friction 4 fold. Yet it still wi.l untie with a simple pull of a tag end. Let's see I was taught that at the age of 3 or 4 IIRC. No need for the "double knot" loops or including tag ends which prevent tag pull untie. Great shoes. Use them for all my PT on base and casual OB wear. I am more than willing to pay a bit more for shoes that employee USA works in manf. Much rather my money goes there than to fat cat sports stars(entertainers) to add even more $$$ to line their pockets pimping what ever shoes they get top $ to say is great. Glad to have shoes from San Anton just a hop from our families farm outside Shiner.

I always buy a new pair of shoes at the start of every year and this is the second time I've purchased a pair from SAS. Comfort is a big deal for me and at my size (6'4", 360 lbs.) I need all the support I can get. I'm happy to say that these shoes completely delivered on that. It truly feels like I'm walking on fluffy pillows all day. Admittedly, these are the most expensive shoes I've ever bought but I will assure anyone they are worth every bit of it! As the saying goes: "You get what you pay for."

Not happy at all after spending over 250.00 for shoes. I never thought I would ever spent that much on shoes. The insoles are razor thin. I look at insoles like a bed topper to makes things soft and comfortable?? These don't! What are they going to do??! Insoles with the width of .125" or less should tell you something. So far after 1 week they don't feel any different that cheaper shoes. Yes the fabric is different and they say waterproof? I'll let you know shortly? Why don't these 250+ shoes feel more comfortable or as comfortable as the 185.00 SAS shoes!! Make sure to don't walk outside on pavement where they are somewhat shown worn because they won't take them back. You have to walk on a carpet in your home to get the feel. Give me a break?? Whats that going to tell you?? I was a believer in the first pair but after the big price jump on the second pair I expected the same comfort and not less and I was wrong!!!

I've worked in hospitality for 30 years. I bought these Black Suprhons 3 1/2 years ago and average 9,000 steps a day. They fit like a glove from day one. The tread still looks brand new. I've never had to change the insoles. I've experienced absolutely no foot, knee or back pain with these unlike the other shoes I've randomly tried using over the years. The top of the shoe is very breathable. Doesn't slip. Totally recommend these. The price is worth it! I'm about to buy the same pair again.

I use it for work, it is good for hospitality industry, if could make a change i would due to having to us orthopedic insoles but overall they are goos shoes. I wish they would not charge for ground shipping for how much you pay for there shoes or at least half the price of shipping because most place do not charge shipping over a certain amount

I have a very difficult feet to fit properly. My feet are wide and square at the toe box. I have been purchasing SAS Time Out shoes for decades and as soon as SAS came out with an athletic shoe I bought a pair. I wore the athletic shoes out and was looking for a water resistant shoe to replace them. Luckily SAS is now offering a water resistant shoe the "Suprhon". I ordered a pair online. They fit perfectly and feel great.

Over the last 10 years, I have purchased and still wear 4 different pairs of SAS shoes. I purchased them to help with my diabetic foot neuropathy. These are my favorite of the four. They are extremely comfortable and very durable. The size 9WW fit my feet perfectly. I wear them as "everyday" shoes. I wear them as "driving shoes" on the long car trips I frequently take. I wear them when I'm working. I also wear them to play golf as SAS has, much to my chagrin, refused to make a pair of golf shoes. I have never slipped on the golf course even under wet or dewy conditions, even with my horrible swing. Never. I cannot imagine not having these shoes in my daily life. They are awesome.

First fully waterproof SAS shoes. (Tried them out in recent deluge and they passed the test.) Wide toe box and maximum comfort throughout sole and heel. Remarkable stability. Stylish and solid. Have worn SAS shoes for over twenty years but the older I get, the more limited the options that deliver comfort and utility. Suprhon shoes have restored the joy of walking. If you're an older walking guy like me with beat-up feet, you need these shoes.

I have worn various styles of SAS shoes, and out of all of them, the Suprhon is undoubtably the best for support, stability, and avoiding pressure sores. While the fabric is soft, seamless, and breathable, the shoe still has solid, stiff side support around the ankle. Furthermore, the sole has the highest skid resistance available. In other models of SAS, I have skidded because the sole is too smooth (Journey) or turned my ankle. Some Medicare certified shoes, the Journey have seams, which were problematic for me. (Though they may be fine for different feet than mine.) The Suprhon is especially great for people who lack sensation, because it does not have seams and points that might press on the skin. I can walk in them comfortably all day. My only complaint is that this style is only available in two colors!

I read the reviews, so I was a little hesitant to purchase the Suprhon. I have worn "Time Out" and "Bout Time" and have been waiting for a stylish upgrade from SAS for running, hiking, jogging, and working out. WOW, this shoe delivered and is now my favorite shoe for everyday wear. 2 sets of laces were provided and I use the longer non-reflective laces and do not use the last hole. I prefer not using the last hole but I did try laces in the last hole and tongue sits nicely staying beneath the laces even when running. I like to slide my shoes on without unlacing and these shoes are perfect to leave laced double knotted and slide on with little effort. I do not have an issue with the lace length, I do not have an issue with the arch support, I do not have and issue with tongue length. My shoes stayed laced! I love SAS brand and Suprhon (asphalt) is my new favorite!!!
