Purchased these boots in 2014, going on year 6 with mine. I have worn them through some pretty harsh winters in northern NY and many "mud seasons," which is what we have instead of spring. They still look great. With time, the leather has softened but still have tons of life left in them. The soles have held up very well but I know can be replaced when needed. I love a company that will repair their product instead of senselessly producing new, which to me is extremely wasteful. I will say that the uninsulated boots are not warm in the slightest, even with three pairs of socks my feet were cold, but temps were below zero so I really should also have a heavily insulated pair. I like uninsulated boots though so I can can wear them year round. They are not very supportive, pretty flat and I work on concrete floors so these boots aren't the best for that- but I have a pair of insoles I can slip in when necessary.

These boots are high quality and attractive. I bought my daughter a pair at her request. She wore them exclusively for 1 1/2 years during undergrad L.L. Bean upheld their warranty as promised. I sent them back to be resoled (as per directions) the leather uppers were also polished and the even sent a brand new pair of laces. She continues to wear them daily now in grad school.

I bought several pairs of name-brand boots for snow days. None of them were good. They were all leaked. This pair is the only one that has no water stains or leaks. I was able to wear wool socks and keep my feet dry. Later I bought another pair for my kid.

I usually wear size 6, 6.5 med. Long wait to size down so I tried on size 6 med in store with my husbands darn tough socks. I have a high instep so the boots were hard to get on with the thick socks but I could wiggle my toes enough to get them comfortable. I wore them home and for the rest of day. I really should have ordered a size 5 since I live in Virginia and don't always need really thick socks. However, once I get them on they are very comfortable. Just have to lace them tighter. Only issue I have is the threads on the heels are fraying and I don't know if it's going to get worse, I've only had the boots since 17 October.

I wear a size 6.5 in sandals and flats, and a size 7 in tennis shoes and boots. Also, I have somewhat wide feet, but I usually wear regular width shoes. I followed what everyone advises about sizing down and ordered a 6Wide. They fit like a size 7 length-wise, which was perfect for me because that's what I wear in boots. The wide width made them feel a little larger, but I wore them with wool socks and placed shearling insoles inside, and I still had enough room to wiggle my toes. I live in Houston, a place that never sees snow and where winters usually go down to only 40 degrees, but I went to Ohio and Canada this winter and knew I needed a solid pair of boots. These kept my feel dry and warm in the snow. I love them, and I can use them when it's raining outside too.

I bought these boots because I was in search of comfortable rain and snow boots and these hit the spot! I like that they're not too high and I am able to wear them longer since they're easy to walk in. They are also exceptional quality and adding the laces took maybe 2 minutes. For reference, I am a 9.5 in Adidas running shoes, a 9.5 in all Jack Rogers (sandals and boots), and a 9 in UGG boots. I purchased an 8 Wide and they fit amazing! I don't consider my feet wide, but I'm so happy to have the extra room. My feet don't slide at all. The wide boot works well with thick, fuzzy socks and with normal, thin socks. They're also quite insulated. I'd highly recommend!

I have always wanted a pair of L.L. Bean Duck Boots so this was the year...2017!!! When I made the purchase, they were on backorder until April. I was so disappointed, but decided they would be worth the wait. When they came in March...just days before my birthday....I was ecstatic. Just so happened that the weather changed from spring-like, to very cold, windy and snow. I can honestly say...these are the BEST boots I've ever had. As a lady who has had several foot issues, I can wear these all day long without a problem!!!!!

I haven't had a pair of duck boots since I was in junior high, so these take me back! I live in a part of the country that is cold and wet. These are perfect for puddles and messy weather, though if you're looking for outstanding warmth, I'd buy a pair with insulation. The description says that they run large and they most certainly do. I usually wear a 9-9.5, but ordered an 8 in these and they fit well with light to medium weight socks. I love these boots and have been wearing them a lot!

Very comfortable and easy to put on. The leather upper flexes well, so that my footing feels stable on uneven ground. I've had the taller bean boots for many year and I'll still use them. However, this shorter version is better for daily use as it is easier to put on.

Ordering shoes and boots online is a challenge for me. These 6" Bean boots fit my high instep and not so slim ankles nicely. I debated between sizes and ended up ordering the larger of the two recommended sizes. The first few attempts at putting these on were a bit of a struggle. The more I've worn these boots the easier it has become. The leather has loosened up and they are comfortable on my feet and ankles. I've worn them about 10 times in the last two weeks and I just need to tug on the leather loop at the back of the boot to get my feet in quickly. I cannot wear a thick sock in these boots yet, but they fit my needs for a waterproof boot for walking my dogs and gardening with a thin sock or barefoot sometimes. I'm very happy with the style, function, and fit (after breaking them in).

This shoe is so comfortable and sturdy. I really like it!

I've been raving about these boots to everyone! They're precisely what I needed. With our small farm, I'm constantly outdoors, so keeping my feet dry and comfortable is essential. These boots deliver on both fronts! They're incredibly comfortable, allowing me to work outside all day with ease, and they provide excellent protection for my feet. I couldn't ask for a better pair of boots!

Perfect fit. I love that I could order a narrow. Comfortable too. Great quality. The laces tighten up nicely with little effort.

I love this boot! It took a little while for my right ankle to adjust but now they feel great! I wore them in a Canadian snow storm and they were awesome!
