The fit is fine except for the heel. A lot of slippage. I wear 10 / 10.5 in regular shoes and ordered size 9.

Very difficult to size. I don't doubt the craftsmanship but I ended up having to order two sizes down and I still feel like they don't fit correctly.

These shoes run really big! My husband wears a size 9 but these were at least a size too large. Order a whole size down at least.

Very strange fit compared to other Bean boots and shoes. Front is same as others, but the heel is very funky. Hard to keep inside the shoe. Can't say I'm pleased, but if I only use them to go get the mail or wood, etc., I can live with them. Would recommend trying before buying! BTW, I'm a loyal Bean customer for decades. Just being honest.

I followed the instructions to order a size smaller and they are still too loose with medium weight socks. I tried to tighten the top lace but that did not help. I can put a finger behind my foot in the boot. When walking in mud, my foot almost comes out of the boot.

The shoes are great after you insert a Dr. Schell's insert. There is zero cushioning in the soles and you feel like you're walking barefoot on concrete.

These rubber mocks are 2 sizes larger than normal and since there are no half sizes it is very difficult to find the correct size. I wear a mens 11, ordered a 10 which was way to big and have settled for a tight size 9. Been an LLB customer for years, this is way below their standard and if they don't get this fixed right away future and existing customers will go elsewhere.

Difficult to use shoelace to prevent shoes from falling off. When you tighten it, the tongue keeps getting in the way. I had to drill a hole in the tongue to reroute the shoelace- not ideal but better than before.

Good constriction but the tongue pinches the top of my foot. Otherwise comfortable.

Shoe comes with raw hide ties, but after a couple weeks of wear the shoe ties already broke.

I've had the insulated Bean boots for more than 20 years and they are still just fine. The regular Bean boots for 8 years or so...and now the bean Mocs. The left one obviously went by inspection without a simple good look. The top tab on the vamp is folded under and there is not enough room for it to flatten so I can slip my foot in easily. I've worn them for a bit, but getting my foot into the left one Is complicated. see photo

My husband wears a shoe size 10-1/2. Reviews indicate shoe runs a bit large. We ordered a size 10. Way too large, sent back for a size 9. Way too large, still swimming in it. Sent back again for a size 8. It hasn't arrived yet so don't know if will fit or not. But I do know it's not normal to order 3 sizes smaller than your regular shoe size. There should be a better analysis for buyers trying to determine what size to order. Runs a bit large is not accurate. It runs 2-3 sizes larger than your normal shoe size. Very frustrating having to continuously send back. If the 8 doesn't fit him, I'll give up!

Shoe was great, but the size that was supposed to be a 9 seemed to be an 11. I would recommend this shoe. They are very well made and I have ordered a replacement, but do go down in size from what you normally wear. Even with the thickest socks this was way too big. Maybe with about 3 pairs of thick socks, but who can do that! My rating is only because they are sized so badly.

One size too large. Returned 12/26/2020. Still waiting on replacement 1/11/2021

Bring back the shearling lined shoes. They make the shoe so much nicer. If not, make it a special order as the shearling insoles don't work.

Quality is fine. But, sizing is nutty. My normal size is 11 wide, I tried 11 medium, 10 wide, 10 medium, and even 9 medium. Every one was too wide at the heel, and slipped off as I walked. Nothing worked. I finally bought a pair of storm chasers. If you're going to buy these online, think small and buy several different sizes. Even better, go to a store if you can.

Like other reviewers say, the sizing of these shoes is just weird. I wear a 9 1/2 wide shoe, in boots I sometimes have to size up to a 10 for thick socks. I have two other pairs of Bean Boots that I have had for a number of years, and both are 9 wides. So of course I ordered these in a 9 wide. WAY to big! I sent them back and received a pair of 8 wides. Still to big but I put the fleece insoles in them from one of my other pair of Bean Boots and they are now wearable. Hey LL Bean, size these correctly and you will have a lot fewer returns!

I wear a 12 wide normally, I ordered a 12 and an 11, both too big, ordered a10, a little too tight. Probably a 10 1/2 would have worked, but these do not come in half sizes. Also the 10 looks like it has been in the warehouse for a long time. Brown rubber is discolored to almost light grey. It wipes off, but..... Unfortunately, returning all 3.

These shoes are well made and appear sturdy. I wear a 9D shoe, so ordered an 8 medium. The shoes are too large, even with a thick cotton sock. I inserted a second insole, but the shoe remains lose in the heel and still a bit wide. I'll keep them as I think a size 7 would be too short This is the first time I have been disappointed in a Bean product after many years of purchases.

LLB has been making these shoes and hunting boots for over 100 years and still their sizing doesn't conform to US standards. I wear a 9 1/2 med but their sizing guide says I should order an 8. They were too small. Went to local store and they suggested a 9 which were too big. They offer no 1/2 sizes. Been buying from Bean's for over 50 years and I love their service and quality. I just won't buy footwear again.
