I've had bean boots before but it had been at least ten years, it has always been a very good boot you just need to listen to LL Bean when it come to sizing them. I ordered a size 9 boot for the first time since I was young and it fit perfect normally I would have ordered a size 10. Boot fits with regular and heavy socks. Bring on mother nature!

These shoes are extremely comfortable, keeping one's feet warm very well.

...but the best USA quality and style. Bought my first pair from Freeport, ME in 1995 and show my American style off in Britain every spring, summer and autumn !!

Best boot ever. Have had them for several years - not one problem. I have a relative that purchased a look alike boot from a big box hunt/fish store. Shot in two years! This pair I purchased for my son, and he says he now has "happy feet"! Made in the USA - doesn't get any better than that!

I bought these boots recently after blowing out yet another pair of conventional slippers. Admittedly,I use such footwear for light outdoor work (shoveling snow, mailbox runs, etc.) I also often wear slippers while lifting weights in my basement gym. These boots add to my Bean Boot collection. With these I now have 4 pair in active use-6",10", 12",& 16". Like all Bean Boots, these fit & function perfectly. I've had one pair over 30 years, having them resoled last year only because the tread was wearing smooth from years of canoe tripping & hiking in NY's Adirondacks. I doubt I'll live long enough to wear any of these great boots out. Recommend highly-as I have of all LLB clothing & gear.

I wish that I had bought a pair sooner. They are very comfortable. . And they keep my feet dry. What surprised me most was the fit. Ordering the way the instructions said to I thought that they would be too small, but they were a perfect fit. What I really like is that they are still made where Mr. Bean meant for them to be made, right here in the USA.

I've owned these boots for 25 years, (bought them back in 1989), they have been EXCELLENT boots. Use them in all sorts of bad weather, rain, snow, ice, wear them for hunting, they are comfortable and always keep my feet dry and warm. I've put them through some heavy abuse through the years, wore them repeatedly in oily muck at an automotive wrecking yard, and as work boots on a farm, bottom line? These are GREAT boots. After all these years of service (a quarter of a century mind you), the soles are worn smooth and starting to deteriorate somewhat (I'm sure in part due to the chemical exposure I have put them through) but still not leaking at all. I called L.L.Bean customer service and they told me I could have new rubber bottoms put on at their repair shop for less than $40. Sending them off today for new rubber and planning hitting the half century mark with this pair someday! Talk about bang for your buck! L.L. Bean, you are what MADE IN THE USA is all about. QUALITY and products that LAST. Don't change a thing!

I enjoyed the well-fitted pair of 6" high boots. Moreover, it came with helpful hints to get the best out of the boots. I am appreciative that the tongue was one piece across the ankle so as to keep the water out. Great tread gave me good traction upon muddy planks. It is a good value and investment for as a boot replacement. Thank you also that it is made in the USA.

I ordered the Bean boot for our wet springs up here in Canada and they are just the perfect boot. They fit exactly as the website said and also other reviews I always wear a size 13 but the 12 is a perfect fit. Shipping was easy and ordering was also great well done LL you made a perfect boot.

Bought these for my husband. He loves them! Perfect height and weight for mud season in New England. But believe what LLBean says about the sizing--my husband usually wears a 12 or 12.5 , and these are an 11 and fit well with medium to heavy socks, and may even need an added insole as well. Boots were on back order but came much sooner than expected.

i purchased these boots for an upcoming trip to wales, mostly for practical reasons: durable, watertight boot to slog around in. the quality is everything i expected from bean's signature boot. what i wasn't expecting was how unbelievably comfortable these boots are. aside from my slip-on vans, they are arguably the most comfortable shoe i've ever worn. the level of value here is unbelievable.

LL Bean never disappoints. Order these boots for my son and after a few sizing issues (my error) they arrived. Excellent construction, comfortable and mad in American! I'm still wearing my boots after 27 years. A bit worn but keeping my feet warm and dry after all these years, a good thing considering our latest midwestern winter. That is quality!

I've had a couple of pairs of Bean boots and really loved them. These low quarter shoes or boots or whatever you want to refer to them as, are made with the same quality and comfort as my previous ones. Be aware that they will have a break-in period but will soon soften up and fit like a glove. You may need to experiment with different sock thickness to find what feels right but I'm sure you won't be disappointed with your choice. They are perfect in town or the woods as they are functional as well as stylish. The fact that they are American made and reasonably priced is icing on the cake. I wish that I'd bought mine sooner. I definitely recommend this product for the outdoor person who recognizes quality and value.

Had to drop down a full size and then fit perfectly. I love them. Very comfortable boot.

My son attends college in New Orleans where it rains a lot, is colder then you would imagine in the winter and can be dirty and muddy... He has lived in these shoes since january and loves them! Too bad we didnt purchase them earlier! Should be on every college student packing list!

Well I finally got my first pair of LL Bean boots. They ended up arriving early and I used them right away. We're having a snowy sloppy cold winter here in PA. They go on easy and keep my feet dry and warm. I ordered a size smaller and they weren't kidding they run long. I need to check out the durability- time will tell for certain on that but I would recommend these to anyone.

I personally tried the low Bean boot and was not impressed, needed to be taller. I decided to give the 6'' L.L. Bean Boot a shot. I am normally 10-10 1/2 in most shoes, so I ordered a size 9 (as the sizing chart recommends to order a size to a size and a half smaller) The size 9 fits perfectly and leaves a little extra room for thicker socks . They are extremely comfortable and fully waterproof. I have had them on for 6+ hours and hardly notice I have them on. It was also pouring down raining this morning and my feet stayed dry. Delivery was supposed to be the first week in March and they arrived about a month early. (Don't be afraid of the long shipping times, they will come earlier than expected.) Excellent pick up as a rain/ourdoors boot. I am more than satisfied with my purchase and they are a great price.

Great fitting boots. Very comfortable to wear. Have been using since their arrival, due to the unending Winter weather where I live in the Northeast. This is my second pair of LL Bean boots, and I am thoroughly pleased with all aspects. I needed a 'lower' pair, since I already purchased the 10" LL Bean boot....also fantastic. I wear an 11, and the Size 10 in Medium is like a custom fit. I always use heavier socks, but nothing extreme. I received these 6" boots in a month, although I was prepared to wait longer. Great craftsmanship. Try them, You'll like 'em.

Needed boots that would keep the boys feet wet while walking to class, hunting and just knocking around. These definitely fill the tall order in all three situations. No half sizes so order the size below what you would normally wear unless you are wearing double socks. The second pair I ordered (for 2nd child) I ordered too big and had to be returned, but were on backorder. the order was fulfilled by the estimated date of availability and customer service was "spot on" in helping with the re-order etc.

I have worn the "low quarter" shoes for years. This winter I decided to get a higher top version.. I thought the higher top would be more difficult to put on.. It is not, just loosen the strings more and they slide on OK. You usually do not have to pull on the loops. The higher tops keep "things" from getting into the shoes, they are warmer and drier also.
