The coat isn't cut properly. It's boxy and doesn't keep out the cold well.

Bought this because I was so happy with the 850 hooded jacket, but was disappointed with it. The 3/4 length coat is much thinner and not as warm. There is a 3.3 oz weight difference between the two and I suspect much of that is in the added zipper length and not the down. it's going back.

This coat fits nicely and looks beautiful, however it is not very warm! For the price and 850 down fill I would expect it to be a lot warmer than it is. It will be a great fall coat!

Wore it last night, a damp 45 degrees with a long sleeve tee and light quilted vest and I was really cold. It's not a winter coat. Disappointed.

I loved this coat - super warm, versatile, and easy to pack. I wore to the office as well as on camping trips. Unfortunately, after 2 seasons, there is a hole in the chest, with feathers flying out. It was packed for the summer, so I have no idea how the hole got there. For the price of the jacket, it should've lasted longer.

While this down coat was definitely lightweight, it was not suitable for a Chicago winter climate without wearing multiple layers underneath it. That said, it might work for a more moderate winter climate.

Liked it except for the scratchy fabric lining pockets-Deal breaker for me. Surprised by this especially considering high price. Returned.

This coat would not keep me from freezing to death during a storm. I am disappointed with the quality of both my first coat and its replacement. The coat I returned was at least warmer and longer, even though its down feathers were coming out at the seams. Sorry, but for me, LLBean didn't hit the mark this time.

Feathers pop out all over the place. Price doesn't match the quality.

Quality seems ok. Fit is poor. Arm circumference needs to be bigger especially for plus sizes. Please update your specs.

I appreciate the quality of this coat, but I find it short. it is about 2-3" shorter than my last (5 years ago) LLBean coat. I had hoped I was replacing the old one that I loved so much. THis one seems more skimpy.

Great coat in terms of fit, weight and length. HORRIBLE coat in terms of durability. Overly expensive in terms of quality. Within 4 weeks, interior feathers poked through and ripped the fabric. LLBean described the material as flimsy and would not authorize an exchange.

I had this coat for a year and small tear appears. The fabric is extremely thin and they don't want to give me a new one with their new policy, but make poor quality items. I shouldn't have to spend this amount of money on it coat and have it ripped after I wear it six times. Other coats from outdoor companies I have purchased in the past have never ripped, and if they did they would replace them. I have been a card member with this company for over 30 years. I think it's time to find a new company

I was so excited to be getting this coat. My old jacket, (not LLBean), which I loved, was really starting to show its age. I continued to wear my old jacket during the first cold snap, as I was outside with the grandkids, and I wanted to keep the new coat from getting dirty. I finally decided that I bought the coat, I should just wear it. Today, on my second wearing of the coat, feathers started coming out of the left sleeve. Somehow, between dropping a giftbag off at church and picking up one library book, there is a small hole already in the sleeve. It isn't even like I was doing anything strenuous that would rip it. I wish I had listened to the reviews that said it rips easily. I waited a few years to get this expensive coat. What a waste of money. I love LLBean products, but this is one to avoid. Very disappointed.

I didn't want to believe the other reviews, so I ordered this coat. I initially loved it, but it snags so easily. I reached under our seats in our car to grab an item and it rubbed across the bottom of the seat (which was not sharp) and boom, a snag immediately. I have worn this for 2 days. I'm so disappointed and will be sending it back.

This coat was so warm. It is absolutely not water resistant. I was out walking our dog when it rained, not snow, for the first time and I came home absolutely drenched in my 1st layer of actual clothes under this coat. What is the point if you get soaked. Thank goodness I was coming straight home I would have been wet all day or needed to come home to change into all new dry clothes. So sad because this coat is super warm just makes no sense if you get wet from a lot of snow or rain.

I have one of these coats from more than 5 years ago, which I still love. The one I have does not have a hood, which I prefer. I could use a new one and check every year to see if they have one without a hood, but they never do, so I finally bought this style. I do not like the hood. It is very stiff and I could not get it to lay in a way that is at all flattering, so I returned the coat. I ordered the exact same size as my previous Ultalight 850, but this one runs bigger. I wish they would bring back a style without a hood, or at least a detachable hood. I would buy it!

There is a small, visible hole where large pieces of feather down continues to come out. It's also not as warm as I was told it would be.

I loved this coat and wanted to keep it; it is very warm and cozy. Unfortunately, the outer fabric is extremely delicate and ripped very easily, resulting in a loss of insulation. The durability of this coat needs to be improved.

This coat was a splurge and I was looking forward to being cozy and warm in it. The fabric is very lightweight and although warmer than it looks, still not what I'd want in the coldest weather it's advertised for. It does layer well, and the fit was nice. However, the zipper was always difficult to get started to zip up, and also a narrower gauge than a long coat usually has. It felt flimsy. It started catching about chest height and then one of the teeth broke off and now it wont zip past that spot so is useless in the cold windy weather I bought it for. I will be looking into returning it.

I am disappointed. The lining pills and sheds. The back of the coat bunches up.

I bought this jacket for my wife due to it's 850 down rating. While it is an ok jacket in regards to fit and style it is no where near as filled or puffy as my own 850 fill down jacket and no where near as warm. I would have returned it if my wife hadnt already removed the tags and worn it. If warmth is your goal then I do not recommend this jacket.

It hardly compares to my last coat. Same 850 hooded coat but different length. It feels like they left out half the down. Disappointing. Cold air breezes right through.

not sure about the sizing. Petite Medium fit great except the bust was super tight. Petite Large was too big & considerably larger than Petite Medium. The sleeves at the cuff on this coat are too loose and just hang around the wrist with no protection. It didn't have the feel of good quality that I have enjoyed in the past from LLBean
