This is truly the best jacket I have ever had! Light weight and sooo.. warm. Your designers have done awesome job. I really can't believe the way it performs both in cold & warmer temperatures. I don't perspire- even in a warm vehicle.. It is so light, too. My compliments for a great jacket.

My wife brought this forms for Christmas. I like it because it is not bulky and comfortable to wear. If needed, I could wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. Nice quality as expected for LLbean products! Ordered an XL initially but was too small, XXL perfect!

This is a great jacket for tossing on for trips about town in cool weather. Very light weight, and super comfortable. I have not tested it to its advertised "low temperature" yet, but it worked well at 9F with a sweater underlayer. I tried a tall medium 1st, but it was too tight with sweater & woolen shirt. Large Tall worked just right. Good fit. This is my go-to jacket this winter.

The down coat was bought for my husband and he states: Very contemporary styling, zip pocket on the chest is perfect for the phone, and the zippers don't seem to get caught on the lining as my previous L.L. Bean coat did- I've had that one for 18 years!

I recently bought a larger and heavier winter coat. I found it too hot and bulky for anything over 30 degrees. I went back and forth and decided to check out the LL Bean store near me. They had this jacket and I really liked the metallic blue look of it. It was so light yet was rated for cold weather. I really wanted something with a nice zipper and this seemed to check all my boxes so I bought it. Was a little more than I wanted to spend but I've had LL Bean coats last years so thought it was a worthwhile investment. I love it, really is comfortable and if the temps drop a little too much, it helps to keep me warm. This is my go to jacket. Seems to be a popular style but it's really built well.

Bought one in spruce a couple of years ago, and needed one for black and blue outfits. The contrasting red zipper is a plus. Gets a lot of use in this warmer but not warm winter in CT.

The Men's Ultralight 850 Down Jacket is replacing a 25 year old LL Bean down jacket that had suffered too many spills. This jacket is better fitting, lighter and warmer. My husband and I love the spruce color!

A Christmas present for my husband. Going to Norway in the spring and this will be easy to pack. Roomy enough for a sweater underneath. Nice updated look.

I'm a big fan of LL Bean. I've been very loyal since my first winter jacket for college. Many jackets after, I still come to LL Bean for the best warmth to price ratio. This jacket is excellent, made with the latest materials and technology. Excellent quality Down (850 FP) and treated for water proof. The outer shell is Pertex Quantum, which offers similar isolation and breathability to the good old Gore-tex but much thinner and comfortable. missing from my wish list: 1. more down packed into it. 2. pockets inside the jacket. 3. Dual side zipper. 4. inner stretchy cuffs like the older jackets had. * I really wish LL Bean would list the Fill-Weight along side the Fill-power of the down. Otherwise all the jackets seem identical.

I got this jacket to act as my new winter jacket, so far it has not disappointed. It is very warm, especially with base layers underneath. I have not used it in heavy rain but it did not give me any trouble in light rain and snow!

My husband doesn't like many down jackets, but LOVES this one! It's made well, and looks just as good as the more expensive down jackets out there. Highly recommend!

Great weight and warmth for cold days in Ohio. It will be a little to heavy for days in the 40s if you are active or in a car and a little to light for the coldest days of the year but this will be my coat for the majority of days until spring.

I got this for my husband for Christmas to replace a jacket that is very warm but weighs a ton. He loves this one because it weighs almost nothing but keeps him nice and toasty. Since it's not at all bulky, it's easier to move in, especially when driving.

Have not had long (1month) but weather has been typically Maine, cold. Jacket is very light yet very warm. Seems to keep cold wind out without the bulk. Really like the freedom of a light weight coat that is warm. Easy to roll up in ball and take along to use if needed. Few feathers have escaped the confines of jacket mainly around cuffs, will see how it holds up. So far very satisfied.

This is now my everyday winter coat. It's warm but not too warm you can't wear it everyday, which I do. It looks great as well with the contrasting zipper.

The coat is light weight but warm. It is nice because when you wear in a store you do not get to hot and it keeps you warm outdoors, looks great.

My teen is reluctant to wear winter coats in the winter. Drives me crazy! This jacket folds up into a nice compact pocket bag, which makes it nice for boys on the go.
