I needed a new pair of summer hiking boots, and did my homework before I ordered 3 pairs, all different brands, and this was the keeper. They have great arch support, my foot feels protected and comfortably snug. I wish they had more ankle support, but I guess as us older hiking chics die off, so does the style we prefer. I'm pushing 60 here, but a good hike does wonders for my body, soul and mind. I need a good boot to get me there. I haven't hiked in these yet, only downstairs to the powder room, but they made that trip without issue! If they don't hold up on a hike, I will come back and update my review.

hmmm they've all changed, so I dunno anymore.

I love these Oboz. I tried several other brands and sizes between 7 (my usual shoe size) and 7.5. Most were too stiff, narrow, clunky, and/or hurt my ankle and toes. I was about to give up on hiking boots, then found these on sale. They felt great right out of the box. I've worn them on several longish hikes and been really happy--wonderful grip on rocks and gravel, waterproof, no rubbing, good heel and arch support, and they look nice enough to wear from the trail into town. I did get a wide and a half-size up. The wide doesn't look or feel all that wide, more like what I'd expect from a regular hiking boot. I don't think my feet are exceptionally wide, but I can't stand scrunched toes. Since these fit so well, I didn't try my usual half-size down or a regular width, but suspect they would have been tight.

Perfect hiking boots right out of the box! First time wearing today for a four mile, muddy, rough terrain hike and they were wonderful. Great arch support and ankle stability, super comfortable, and no need for break in. My feet are slightly on the white side, and I had to return a pair of Danners that were too narrow in the toebox. These were the perfect alternative. So glad I got them!,

I LOVE these shoes! I had that experience that happens when you slip something on and it feels like it was made just for you. The foot bed is perfectly formed, the laces and the ankle pads are all in the right places.
I did order a half size up for thicker socks and it works for those and regular socks. Haven’t checked waterproofing yet, but they are def sealed. If you have extra sweaty feet you might have issues as my feet got a bit sweaty though they don’t usually. With the great sizing this does not cause rubbing. 100% five stars.

Great light-weight hiking shoe! Very cute as well. I tried my normal size, 8.5, but my toes felt crowded and I needed to go up to a 9 to accommodate thicker hiking socks. I've hiked for several hours in them so far and find them really comfy, possessing good traction and great support. I haven't gotten them wet yet, so cannot speak to their water resistance. I really like how they shift my weight forward a bit to give a springy feeling when I walk.

So wish that Keen would come out with WIDE widths for women. Most of their men's hiking boots come in wide.... why not women?!? I had to return these, much too narrow for my barely wide foot.

Caught these on-sale for a discontinued color. Love Oboz boots, they fit my feet well, are comfortable out of the box, and are a good value for the money. They know how to make hiking boots!

I had to order a full size larger than my usual for hiking boots, but now they are perfect. They feel great on my feet, I have room for my toes in front and sideways, so even if my feet sweat and swell they will still be comfortable. They are a little stiff still because they are all leather, but i have only worn them inside the house, and I believe they will soften up with time and wear. I have a neuroma problem in my right foot, and my foot feels completely protected, and for the first time in months I don't limp when I wear them. What a relief! Besides all that, they look great!

I'm going on my 3rd pair of these amazing hiking boots! They hold up very well, but I wear them every day for work. These are the first boots I've owned that have been comfortable from the first day. No break in needed. And my feet don't hurt after being on them all day. They are protective without being stiff and fairly lightweight. I normally wear a 9.5N and the 9.5 medium fits me perfectly, since I am able to lace them up snug. Highly recommend!

Fit was fine and support felt good. Unfortunately there is a seam that goes right across my ankle bone, and try as I might - thick socks, thin socks, it always rubbed. I knew this wouldn't work for walking / hiking mileage.

I ordered a half size larger and am now returning them as they are both too long and too wide. i do have narrow feet and high arches. I could have lived with them being a bit long but they were loose around my ankles and I just felt that might cause blisters. They are very supportive and comfortable - just the wrong fit for my particular feet.

I love Oboz and have two other pairs. This one seemed great like the others but hit my ankle bone in a weird place. I need something slightly higher in the shaft.

I really loved the slate blue color of this boot but the overall fit was just too big. I usually wear an 8 medium in Oboz and this boot in size 8M was just too big everywhere - I had to double check the size as they felt like an 8.5. The red laces make them even more fun! If your feet are on the wide side, these may be perfect for you. The arch was also very comfortable. I may order a 7.5 to see if that size would work.

I have the shoe version of this boot. It has excellent arch support and is a quality boot. As it is a little short, compared to the other 8 1/2's I ordered, I am going to send this back and try the next size up. In a street shoe I now wear an 8. In boots I wear 8 1/2's to accommodate heavier boot/wool socks. I don't hike (I am a professional gardener) but the support seems to be appropriate for that as well.

I usually wear a 6.5 in Keene and Merrill. I got these in a 6.5 and wore them on a seven mile hike. The right boot crushed my pinky toe after a few miles and was pretty painful- so I decided to order the sevens in a wide (6.5 wide wasn’t available) but the seven were too big by a small fraction. Anyways these are pretty stiff overall, with no cushion on the soles. I have High arches and slightly wider feet, and I do think the medium width is fine except for my right toe but maybe I need to break in first. Overall they look great, and are quality boots, but I think I prefer a more cushioned boot/shoe. They are definitely waterproof for now but I’ve only worn them twice in the rain.

Blister producing even for people with dry feet. I have been hiking for 30 years and have never suffered with blisters until I hiked in these boots. I regret purchasing these boots. They are cute but cause painful blisters.

I bought these four months ago. I’ve never had a pair of hiking boots I have loved until I bought this pair of Oboz. They didn’t need to be broken in and are extremely comfortable.

Really good looking casual hiking shoe! I'll be wearing these for day hikes and walking around the city. I like that they are mono-color instead of two contrasting colors. The color is a very pretty low-key, subtle grayish purple. I have wider feet and a medium feels good. Doesn't look or feel too clunky or heavy. Keeper!

From the first hike these have become my favorite. My trails are usually rocky with elevation changes. Even running down hill on muddy trails my feet were very comfortable. While the arch support is perfect (a first for me!), I would like more cushion in the footbed.
Lacing is just right, easy to use, stays put.
Successfully put waterproofing to the test, stepping through the ice on a lake.
I ordered 1/2 size up from street shoe.
