Good looking waterproof walking/trail shoes for women are hard to find! These shoes are slim, not clunky, and the monochrome color is very pretty (I ordered the green). They also have great arch and heel support for my plantar fasciitis and high arch, and a super comfy collar for my narrow and sensitive ankles. Unfortunately, they felt a little short in the toe, and way too tight in the toe box. I have substantial bunions on both feet, and as soon as I put my feet in the shoes, I felt pressure on both of them, which only increased as I walked around the house. I loosened the laces, but the shoe itself proved way too confining and I know my bunions would be screaming at me if I took my typical 2-mile dog walk in them. I was going to try the next size up, but they are sold out. Too bad, I will have to return them. Probably just fine for a narrow to medium foot with no bunions or toe issues.

I love Oboz hiking shoes. These are an amazing fit. I will say that in the Zappos photos, the color is much more tan looking and the true color is a muted beige. You can see on Oboz’s site a truer representation of the color. I have a high arch and their shoes have removable insert/insoles where you can remove and use your own specialized insert if you want. But I didn’t need to do that - the oboz insert was perfect. The shoes are sturdy yet don’t feel heavy on your feet. I hike about four days a week in them on very rocky terrain and my feet never hurt afterwards. I think Oboz is one of the highest quality hiking shoe out there plus they’re made in the USA so what’s not to love?

Finally, a hiking shoe for women with narrow heels! I struggle to find any shoes to fit my narrow feet, because hardly anyone makes narrow width shoes anymore. I am able to wear some Ryka workout shoes very comfortably (due to their narrow heels), but have had a tough time finding a nice looking, waterproof, hiking or walking shoe to wear while traveling and walking miles each day. I tend to walk right out of almost every shoe because of my narrow heels. I wanted a supportive, waterproof shoe I could wear with most outfits and walk 10-15 miles in without my feet hurting. IMO, these wouldn't look great with most dresses or skirts, but they look more like a casual (faux) leather shoe than either a hefty hiking boot, or a too-casual-for-my-purposes running shoe. I can wear them with with casual pants, jeans, shorts, or capri pants. I tried them out for a few miles today, and they were comfortable. The uppers are a bit stiff, so they feel like a hiking boot to some degree, but that's not uncomfortable for me. The insoles are great; they are similar to SuperFeet insoles; I've never bought shoes with that type of insole included. If your feet are wide, the medium width of this shoe may be too narrow for you.

I bought 2 pairs of the Sypes because I liked the fit of the first pair so much. A good arch is important to me, and my previous pair of Bozeman's by Oboz were a good fit. In comparison though, the Sypes are much sturdier in both upper and sole. I have been wearing the Sypes for 3 months now, and I couldn't be happier. I really like the sturdy construction. I wore a pair on a 2 week trip to rainy Costa Rica and they were really put to the test. They stayed absolutely dry until, like any waterproof shoe, the water can enter from above the top of the shoe. I was pleased with how great they looked after they dried out. The insole is removable. As far as fit, they are true to size, but if you intend to wear hiking socks thicker than a medium weight, you may want to size up a half size. They do seem a little narrow in the toe box, but I thought overall they were still very comfortable.

Runs very smalll and narrow so I had to return them and the large size was not available. I've noticed a fair bit of variation in Oboz sizing. Nice looking shoe, tho.

These shoes were perfect right out of the box. I have worn them just about every day since they arrived. My main need was for dog walking in cool weather, but I end up wearing them all day. They are very comfortable with both thick and thin socks. My size ranges between 8 1/2 and 9, and I bought a 9. The arch support is excellent. And they are definitely waterproof. I would recommend them highly.

I purchased based on others reviews of the comfort level. And I agree, they are very comfortable and as a person with plantar fasciitis arch support is so important to me. Out of the box these shoes were extremely supportive and comfortable, no need for any special inserts for PF. There was a minimal break in period for me, but just a couple of days wearing to work and now they are very comfortable. I get comments on their looks and I am very happy with this shoe overall.

There is plenty of room in the toe box for my curved big toe. I have a high arch and instep that this shoe accommodates. The arch support is great. Although a little snug to first put on, after having worn the shoes on a couple of walks, the leather uppers are beginning to relax and conform to my foot. I really needed a waterproof shoes and this is the best one I've found. The shoe feels sturdy, comfortable, and worthy for walks, especially on uneven terrain or cobblestones. I really like the solid tan/ochre color.

Love these shoes! I tried on so many pairs of hiking shoes and was starting to feel like Goldilocks - none of them were quite right. These were great out of the box. They’re comfortable, roomy in the toe box structured, fit orthotic inserts, have a nice neutral color (I got the gray), and the waterproofing is great. They have good traction and are also good for everyday wear. Only complaint is that they loosen up as I walk and I do find myself having to retire them to keep my foot from slipping in the shoe.

Was looking for new hiking shoes that are waterproof and landed on these Oboz. Love them! Very comfortable with a nice roomy toe box. Love the color and the look as well. Since I order a half size larger in any shoe I ‘exercise’ with, I tighten the laces above the toe area so my foot doesn’t slide down on the descent. My foot is on the narrow side so the fit is great for me. Tested them out on a 7.4 mile hike which morphed into a 9.1 mile hike and no soreness at all. Very happy with my new hiking shoes.

These are awesome. I have many foot issues and these are incredibly comfortable and supportive. They repel water beautifully and mud rinsed right off. Love them!

Fits just like other Oboz styles I’ve worn. Love the support for my foot. I didn’t keep this style because the eyelets for laces were just holes punched through the leather. I was concerned about durability and it was a bit difficult to get a snug fit quickly. I prefer the metal eyelets and boot hooks on Oboz Sapphire style.

These shoes fit fairly well. I wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8.5. They were a bit tight across the bunion on my right foot, but it certainly appeared this nice quality leather would easily stretch to accommodate that. However, the interior of the right shoe was NOT sown correctly so I'm returning them.

This shoe keeps me stable, dry and comfortable no matter how many miles I walk. The insert is easy to remove in order for me to use superfeet shoe insert for additional arch support to keep plantar fasciitis at bay.

Seem like great shoes, but the ones I got, the left toe was mis-shaped and rubbing funny so I'm returning for another pair to hopefully get ones that were made correctly.

I've had these for a few months. They're waterproof and comfy, that's exactly what I need for walking my dog on the wet Oregon Coast. I bought two pair the tan and dark purple. I love them both. I interchange them in hopes they'll last a long time, since I do a lot of walking.

Best hiking shoes I have ever worn, (prior to these, my favorites were by Ahnu, and before that, Ariat and others.). Reasons to love: Waterproof! These are the best at keeping dry of all I have tried. GRIPPY! Best grip for slick surfaces. Comfortable from the start! No break-in period needed. Super comfortable. These hikers are perfection for me. Order 1/2 size up from your normal size.

The fit is excellent in width and length. I am generally a 7.5 or 38. The arch support is a bit stronger than I usually wear, but I have noticed that walking feels easier in my hips and spine with this level of support. The shoes look nice, and not clunky. I wear them for walking on the beach, on sidewalks and paths. My feet are happy in these shoes.
