I have almost completely collapsed arches and flexible feet. I have a bunion and a neuroma and arthritis. I have been misdiagnosed, had a botched foot surgery, had a nerve in my foot injected, broken toes, you get the picture. I have not walked more than a half a mile in ten years. I must have tried on fifty plus pairs of shoes, with and without inserts but could never wear anything but a birkenstock sandal. That's cold in the winter in the northeast. Today I thought I 'd try one more time and went to a local running store, requesting a broad based shoe with a wide toebox, firm but flexible support. This is what he suggested. I'd love to be able to wear them without an insert but for right now, I have to wear a foam insert to assist my arch area. I'm actually wearing them now and I love them!! No one has any idea how happy I feel right now! Thank you, Topo, for this excellent shoe. I will buy more colors when they are available. I hope this review helps some other person who struggles as I did, for over ten years, to find a shoe that works for me.

I've had these for two months and the bottom tread is already wearing down and there are worn spots developing in the heels. They look like I've had them for a year. I wear them to walk 10-13 miles per week on a cement walking path. They are super comfy and my bunions don't hurt as much, but I would expect a shoe at this price point to last longer than 2 months!

Oh man, where to begin? I had been dealing with running injuries on and off, and was in desperate need for good shoes. I ordered no less than 6 different shoes/models to try. I am someone who needs a little bit of stability, so my options were limited. Everything was hurting my feet. One day I came across someone recommending Topo online and, having heard little of them, did some research. I ordered the Ultraflys and WOW, no foot pain, no calf pain, SO comfy, yet responsive. I love that the toebox is wide, yet the midfoot and heel are secure, which is not what I experienced with Hoka/Altra. The soles are definitely higher quality than Altra IMO. Altras seem too flimsy. Overall, these Ultraflys are perfect for me and my narrow heels/wide forefoot, and all my running ailments. I like that the drop is 5mm- not too high, but also not zero. I just can'y say enough good things about these. I get excited each time I put them on to run. It cradles my foot in that sweet zipfoam. Please never change this shoe! I even went ahead and purchased the trail version- the Ultraventure Pro- and love that one too!

I wear my topos for yardwork, work, and trail walking. They offer a very roomy toebox in width and height, which is great for thicker socks. No break-in time needed. No blisters. Very comfortable. Snug heel fit. Soles are grippy. Comfortable for all day wear.

These shoes are very comfortable and fit my wide forefoot. They are slightly on the soft side but I put in my own orthotic with a higher arch and stiffer insole. I wear them when I ride my bike to go hiking. The Vibram sole does not slip off the pedal and they are nice hikers. The emerald green is quite vibrant but I as long as I don't wear green pants they look great.

Hiker here, not a runner. I primarily bought these for canoe portage trails in the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness. Needed a shoe with a secure foot, good grip and drainage ports while carrying a canoe and pack. Trails are hilly, muddy, with boulders & gnarly roots, cross high water creeks. Haven't been up to BWCA but shoes have done well on technical terrain thus far. Good drainage. Footbed not supportive and firm enough for my old feet, esp in heel. A Currex zero drop insole helps greatly.

These fit my feet great and were stable and comfortable especially when I was recovering from a sprained ankle . However the uppers fell apart in less than 30 miles and I can no longer tie them in securely enough to handle the twist and turns of technical trails. My feet now slip and slide in the shoe and I fear that I am risk for reinjuring the ankle.I think the biggest issue with them is the cheap and flimsy shoe laces which tore up the upper. They have been retired for walking around town. I am kinda bummed because they are expensive. My search for the perfect trail shoe continues.

I didn't purchase these wonders for running, but instead I purchased them for HIIT classes at my gym. I spend two - three hours there a day (7 days a week) and was looking for a new shoe that could accommodate my toe spacers and not press against my bunion. Hello UltraFly3. My toes aren't cramped, my balance is centred and they (so far) offer enough support to allow me to pivot jump lunge and squat my way through HIIT classes. I'm looking forward to taking them out for a road run soon.

I am on my feet 12+ hours a day and these sneakers give me the support that I need, the only negative thing is that they're not a wide-toe box. I don't regret my purchase, but will be sticking to my Altras.

A friend recommended Topo for their wide toe box. While my neuroma did not flare up thanks to the toe box, I wound up returning these. I experienced cramping in my midfoot still trouble with plantar fasciitis. Also, after two days wearing them, the upper began separating from the sole on the inside of the right foot. Not what I'd hope for in brand new shoes. Luckily, the 30-day trial and customer service made returns easy. Would recommend these for someone else with fewer foot problems!

I bought these shoes for a 500-mile hike. They began to delaminate within the first week with less than 100 miles on them. I contacted customer service and asked about the best way to fix them in the field. After 2 weeks of going back and forth, with me sending more and more photos of the shoes, the only resolution they offered me was a 50% off coupon. These seem to be lifestyle shoes rather than actual hiking shoes; the only thing worse than the quality of the shoes is the customer service.

Just went on my first walk in these shoes and for the first time the neuromas on the bottom of my feet don’t hurt! Yay! I wish they had more styles in the size 6 but I’ll take what I can get.

I've worn the Ultraventure Pro on two multi-stage ultramarathon 250K races and a half full of single day ultras. The wide toe box is perfect and the overall feel of the shoe is perfect for long ultras! Comfortable, versatile and love the rock plate!!

The shoe is very sturdy and stable platform, snug around mid foot and nice room for toes in the front. I have 3 different pairs of Topo, ended up returning these because I felt they were a little firm, or less cushy to run on then I feel I need as I age.

Wide toe box yet secure heel. Compared to Ultraventure required a bit of break in - soles felt initially stiff but once broken in I Worn them on 10-15 mi hikes with no issues - I have a Morton neuroma on one foot that gives me intermittent problems but better in these shoes than others. I like the secure traction on single track trails that are rocky, sandy and steep.

I love, love, love these shoes. I have dealt with plantar fasciitis and pain in the balls of my feet and these shoes are the perfect and help those problems. I can hike or walk all day long in them. Perfect amount of comfort and support. Great traction on the hills too. SO worth the money in my opinion.

Long distance multi day hikes. Fits great and the rock plate is a welcomed addition to your hiking shoes. This is my 3rd pair of your hiking shoes.

I love the Topo brand with a wide toebox. I had double neuroma foot surgery and still have metatarsalgia so a wide toebox is a must have for me. I only wish Topo made dress shoes! The Athletic Ultravenrure Pro is super comfortable, has a cushy foot-bed and great lugs for gripping the ground.

I have a wide forefoot and have hiked in Altras for years. This fits even better, and the sole feels thicker and more grippy. My 63 year old feet don't have a lot of padding any more and these feel great so far. SIZE NOTE: these seem to be just a bit smaller than the Terraventure 3's in the same size.

These shoes provide a wonderful sense of surefootednes. For me, they're the perfect all-purpose shoe: Trail-walking, doing housework, dancing in the living room - my feet feel comfortable and activated. They give me the feeling of being agile, responsive, and stable. A full-body experience!

I have often purchased Altra shoes because of their wide toe box that allows your toes to breathe while you walk, but these Topos are even more comfortable than my Altras. Just bought a second pair.
