I purchased this pair of Hi-Tec Ravus Vent Low WP hiking shoes because I previously (more than 25 years ago) owned a pair of Hi-Tec Sierra Lite hiking boots and was very pleased with how those boots felt and how they performed - given the relatively low price. My shoe size varies between a US 9.5 and 10, and I ordered these in a 10 to accommodate a thicker sock in colder months; the size-10 fit seems just right. This pair of Ravus Vent WP shoes arrived as scheduled and in their branded box, packed within a sturdy Zappos box. These hiking shoes are comfortable right out of the box, and, if history holds true with the Hi-Tec brand, they should become even more comfortable rather soon with some wear. I can't yet comment on the waterproof properties, but with the shoes' gusseted tongue, Hi-Tec's quality, and my own common sense and reasonable expectations during wear, I imagine they should perform just fine. Cannot beat the price point for a well-made, sturdy-yet-comfortable pair of hiking shoes.

Really like this hiking shoe. It fit perfect and construction was great. Unfortunately I do have issues with my feet and need a little extra cushioning in my forefoot which this didn’t have. I sadly had to return them.

Great shoe. Fits well and is very comfortable. Sturdy sole so I don't feel rocks under my feet.

These hiking boots are well constructed and provide very good lateral support and protection. They are a bit stiff but that is because they are brand new. They should be more flexible in a few wearings.

When I first put the shoes on, I thought they were quite large. But, after lacing them up and walking a bit, they fit perfectly. I do believe a better insert is in my future, however, as with most new shoes. They are quite comfy and I've walked at least 10-12 miles in the first couple days. There are no hot spots or irritated areas. The only thing is, the shoe's toe box ends in more of a point. It would be better if the toe end was more curved as most feet are. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and, as this is my second Hi-Tec shoe, I'm liking Hi-Tec!

Love the construction, support, and price. Unfortunately the pointy toe box was squeezing my toes. Since they don't make these in wide (??), I'm trying a half size bigger. Really hoping that works...

Worst shoe I ever bought. I have bought shoes from Walmart that are better than these for $20. I’m not sure what happened to this company but when I was in the military Hi-Tec was the best shoes we could get. Within a month the souls crushed then the tread pilled back from the toe. Extremely disappointed!!
