I ordered the men's version of this shoe after finding the women's version ran extremely narrow -- I don't consider myself someone with wide feet, but I do have a high instep, so perhaps my experience of narrowness was just the fact that the fit seems to assume both a narrower than average foot and a low instep. For that reason, I still feel this is narrower than marked -- a standard women's width is B, while the standard men's width is a D, and I felt the fit was far closer to, say, a C (which is generally the width of a women's wide, one size below a men's standard width of D). That said, it now fits me perfectly. I am a women's size 9.5/10, or generally a men's size 8, but I ordered a men's size 9 based on the size chart from XTRATUF which showed the men's size 9 as equivalent to the women's size 10 (which is unusual, generally women's sizes are 1.5 added to the men's size). Again, I feel XTRATUF's sizing chart was off insofar as the translation between men and women's sizes, as the men's size 9 is true to size, which is definitely not the equivalent of a women's size 10. That said, I am very happy with what I received -- for me, the men's size 9 in the standard men's width would be more accurately translated to a woman's size 10.5/11 in wide (C width), which means I can wear it with thin socks for a slightly but not uncomfortably loose fit for warm rain, but have enough room to wear some thick wool socks in cold rain. I think they are comfortable (I have good arches and don't need arch support, of which there is none), relatively easy to slip in and out of as far as rainboots go, and the pull on tabs help a lot. I have only worn them around the house, so I can't speak to durability, but I wanted to give some guidance for anyone else trying to find the right size in this boot or figure out whether this boot will work for them.

Save yourself the time and don’t buy these shoes. They simply aren’t waterproof at all. Doesn’t even hold up in light rain. Same for the taller ones too.

Not so durable. Had these for less than one week and the Rubber “xtratuf” tag on the back heel is already ripping off. I wore these on 2 rainy dog walks that were less than a mile and they are already falling apart. Not too excited about the quality.

My husband has a pair of these that he’s been wearing for at least two years, now. They’re his go-to outdoor shoe, for everything from fishing to gardening to taking out the trash. They’re easy to slip on, easy to kick off. Not too narrow anywhere. Great traction and waterproofing. He loves them.

super happy with these XTRATUF Ankle Boots. Before them I was ruining all my other none waterproof boots and shoes. Now I just slip my feet in with ease and off I go. All of my yard work, my back yard golf are fun again. No more hopping over puddles I just walk right through them, and dry socks to boot ; ) Get yours!

Seems like a good waterproof boot- I use them for my daily farm Chores. They are a bit large around the ankle and up the leg- I do with that was a bit smaller. Imma half size so I did order a size up and that was the right thing to do. Hoping they last longer than my muck boots they fell apart after 1 year

Perfect boots to wear on the boat. I'm a ladies size 9.5 and I got these mens on clearance. I spend alot of time fishing and boating and needed something better than flip flops but lighter weight than muck boots. These are perfect. Really comfortable and they slip on and off without having to hold onto the boot strap. Not sure why I didn't get these sooner.

Bought for my husband who was VERY hesitant, and he LOVES them. Gets compliments all the time, totally worth it.

I was looking for an all around rainy day boot and I found it . Perfect for slipping on and taking your dog on a walk or even dealing with light snow . Comfortable enough to wear to the grocery store!

These are standard fishing boots on the San Diego charter boats. The size and fit was as expected.

Style is not the winner here. Comfortable and easy on / off is the key!

I have gotten these in another color way in the past (Hunter green) which now seem to be slimmer and smaller and fit my feet better. Even though these are the same size (11, I usually wear 10.5 and was advised to size up) they feel much more roomy. Maybe some slightly thicker socks will help. Either way, I will still keep and wear them since they were purchased with a nice discount.
