I had never really taken Skechers seriously as a running shoe company before I saw a couple of glowing reviews for the Max Road 5. I'm glad I didn't let my preconceived bias keep me from pulling the trigger on this model. I've ran in the swoosh brand's max cushion Invincible and the Max Road 5 beats it out in nearly every category in my humble opinion. Looks of the shoe are subjective I suppose but it's growing on me. This shoe can do everything from a short 5k run to longer 10 mile plus runs. I'm not a marathon runner so I can't really comment on its usefulness for that, but for me, the Hyperburst cushioning, the carbon infused h-plate and the upper all work in harmony to provide a really fun, comfortable experience. To top it off, this is one of the lightest max cushion shoes currently on the market. This shoe is right up there as one of my top overall picks for 2021well done, Skechers

I bought my 1st pair of these in 2020, and have since ran them into the ground over 500miles. At first these shoes feel snug, but just like any shoes, the toe box really opens up after a few runs. the Good Year material holds up really well as well as the comfort of the shoes. Ive taken my 1st pair through trail running as well as running through the blistering sun in Morocco. My favorite feature is the cushion which is very response and on the firmer side while being super light as most max cushion shoes feel very squishy 7 heavy which I am not a huge fan of. Excited to have received my 2nd pair as I know they will last. Also, let me mention for the price! easily the best shoe you can get.

If you are a runner, this will serve you well! I've used it on few hikes and are good. I will find out how long they last. But one week in and it's the best!

Great daily trainer, they have a nice spring while still maintaining max cushion. Hyper burst is the best lower I have used in a runner to date.

I've been a Skechers fan for about 10 years and these are my all time favorite. Perfect combination of support and cushioning. I liked them so much that I bought my wife a pair.

I am a slightly heavier runner and I run 35 miles per week. I use these for my long runs (10-20 miles). I also use these for 6-10 mile tempo runs. I was wanting a comfortable shoe but not one so soft it would sink in the forefoot and make it difficult to pick up the pace. The MaxRoad 5 has a medium-soft ride, and as a midfoot/forefoot striker I appreciate the MaxRoad's smooth transition to toe off. This is a versatile shoe and one that will stay in my rotation.

Shoe felt awesome but they run about a half size too big. I wish they had my size so I could use them but unfortunately had to return them for another shoe model.

These shoes are really fun to use and I loved these a lot more than the max road 4s. The shoes were so easy to break in and I hate having to break in shoes!

I find the MaxRoad 5 to be comfortable and light after an initial 10 mile run. I am looking forward to putting more miles on these shoes.

Super comfortable in walking and jogging (straight line). However, I fell/ broke my wrist playing tennis in them. They are unstable and I advise NOT to use for racquet sports or basketball!

I do about three miles per day and the shoe performs perfectly. As I am aged, a do require a bit more cushion in the soul. The cushion on this shoe is a bit hard, but it makes it more durable. I would buy this type again.

Shoe felt awesome but was too large for me. Need a half size smaller but was not available. Was looking forward to this shoe. I will wait for future updates or more shipments.

I run and bike 6 times a week. I alternate these two activities so i can run more. I have been running and racing for 40 years with injury breaks here and there. I have logged 100K miles in my life. I am always on the lookout for new and different midsole materials that can smooth out the miles on my 195 lb. frame. I really like the midsole on this shoe. Forgiving but not too squishy. I have around 30 miles on them. Impressed with their weight.
