For my sensitive feet, the other shoe Union by Taos fits much better than this shoe and were much more comofortable. The thiicker sole was tempting and I thought the shoes would have the same foot bed . But, this was not the case. Cumulatively the slight differences in the arch, toe room and width were enough in a few seconds to say no and opt to keep Union.

I bought a size 10 - too short. Also bought a size 11 - too big. Why do shoe companies make half sizes in every size but a 10 1/2? So disappointing.

First let me say that these high tops are GORGEOUS!! High quality materials and super stylish. The only reason I could not keep them was that the zipper was too difficult to zip up. I LOVE these but for the price its too risky to count on them stretching out enough to make them work. If you have a narrower foot, BUY these.

Gorgeous, literally perfect in design but I am returning for 2 reasons: 1) I'm a regular medium but sneaker was too narrow, as in wrongly sized and 2) the zipper is a deal breaker. It zips up and down fine when OFF. When ON, one foot zips (after 10 min of trying) and the other foot, well, I just gave up on zipping. Such a beautiful shoe but vendor dropped the ball on fit and zipper efficacy.

Love love love these shoes! I normally wear a 6, but purchased 6.5, perfect fit, super comfy, beautiful cognac colored leather, quality craftsmanship. Already wore them 3x in first week and designed super cute outfits around them. *I am flat footed so can’t really comment on arch support,

I wore these around my house for a few days. At first, they felt stiff & the arch maybe too high. My feet got tired after a couple of hours wearing them. But then, they softened up a bit & my foot adjusted to the arch. They are wider for me than I usually wear, my foot is narrow, but I can wear a warmer, thicker sock. I’m really liking them. I love the leather. They are a bit more like a soft low boot than a tennis shoe.

The first time I can wear store bought shoes with out my personal orthotics - excellent arch support !!

Best shoe on the planet!! I used to purchase Josef Siebel shoes just like this and then they stopped making them. This is my replacement and I am very happy. SUPER comfortable and VERY stylish. I wear these with everything. True to size and width and a little support on bottom. I will always have a pair of these as long as they are making them.

I own these in two different colors and they are my go-to shoe for any serious walking. I've worn them on two trips to Europe (20k+ steps per day) and my feet did better in these than in running sneakers--and they're much cuter! I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and need quality arch support and haven't found better than Taos. Cannot recommend highly enough! I do suggest going up a .5 size, though. I'm usually a 9 (and sometimes an 8.5) and wear a 9.5 in these.

Very stylish high-top sneaker. Needs breaking in at the start (I wore around the house) and high socks, otherwise the top rubs at the ankle. With high socks, no issue.

I’m writing this review because I had forgotten how much I loved Taos shoes. I’ve struggled with Plantar Fasciitis for years, but had strayed from this brand for some reason. I came searching for something that would get me through a trip to Europe, and remembered the only pair of shoes that held up on my last overseas trip: Taos. I ordered these leather shoes because they looked so stylish (I’m in my mid 30’s if that helps.) When I got them, I had to readjust to their footbed and I was sure I was not going to like them because they weren’t as “cushy” as the tennis shoes/insoles I was used to. Man, was I wrong!! I can wear these all day and have zero foot pain. No other pair of shoes I own can do that. I’m shocked at how much better my feet feel! I do want to note that it took me a few tries to get the sizing right. In the time since my last purchase from Taos I’m not sure if they adjusted their sizing or what. I used to have to go up .5 a size from my normal, but these fit very true to size, maybe even slightly big.

Very comfortable and stylish. I’ve gotten lots on compliments on these shoes. They are very versatile. I’ve worn them casually with leggings and wide leg pants as well as skinny jeans with a blazer. You can adjust how tight you want them with the laces and then slip on and off easily with the zipper. Lots of room in the toe area. True to size. And a major plus - there is arch support! Very happy with this purchase.

They run big and they don’t make half sizes! TAOS, it would be great to show the shoe on a model’s foot like Zappos does! Every shoe.. It makes a huge difference since we are buying online.

Beautiful shoe, just didn’t fit me. They run large, so don’t order up a half size if that’s what you usually do for sneakers. The zipper is a great idea, but it was a little hard to zip it up near the ankle for me.

I wear a size 8 and have a very high arch. These fit really well right out of the box and provide the arch support I need to minimize foot pain. I haven’t worn them for a whole day yet, but I’m happy with the purchase and will be keeping them. Based on other reviews I read, I was worried they’d be really stiff out of the box, but I did not find that at all. They are sturdy, but I haven’t felt like they need much breaking in at all.

I have extremely picky feet and LOVE these. I had plantar fasciitis surgery last year and went to London right before--these shoes SAVED my feet. I was regularly walking 25k steps per day on pavement with horrible inflammation in both my feet, and I was very comfortable the entire time. They are now my go-to sneakers and I have them in two colors. Wore my white ones all around Europe this summer on cruise and my feet never once hurt! They do run small, I am an 8.5-9 and wear these in a 9.5. Can't recommend them highly enough if you need good arch support in a stylish shoe!

Ordered my usual size of 9 and it was just a little big. Zappos is awesome and processed an exchange with next day delivery via Amazon. 8.5 is perfect! Was worried it may be too small based on other reviews saying theirs were true to size or too small. Got the oyster color. Thought it would be more nude color but I still like the color…a mix of nude and light gray. Very universal. Shoes are stiff but I know from having these type of sneakers before that they do soften with wear. I love the style and will wear these a bit to be sure and then order other colors! Steel and Caramel are tops on my list!

Love these. They need a little breaking in at first but still super comfortable. I have the Union in a size 8 and they're just a tad too short/tight in the toe. They're also comfortable but I can't wear them for long without my foot feeling pinched. Also bought these in an 8 after reading reviews and the fit is much more true to size. Toe also isn't as narrow as in the Unions.

I bought a 9 in these even tho I wear an 8 1/2 usually. I plan to wear the winter type socks and the 9 feels perfect. There were some comments earlier about the zippers being uncooperative — not so. They were fine. I wonder if the authors didn’t realize when you have zippers and laces, you undo all, zip it onto your foot, then adjust the laces to the feel you desire. From then on, all you need to do is zip it on and off. It’s easy. These high top leathers are SO good looking. Taos Footwear never disappoints.

These kicks were a little pricey, but trust me when I tell you they were worth every penny. I needed a "work sneaker"...and I'm a woman of a certain age, so I am picky and choosy with what I put on my feet...needed casual but still cute and these sneakers fit the bill. Beautiful leather!

Where have these shoes been all my life? They are SO COMFORTABLE. I'm about to buy 3 more pairs. The leather is really nice (I got the grey), and it looks like it will age to a nice patina. So happy with them. If you have foot/ ankle problems (plantar fascitis, navicular, tendonitis etc) YOU MUST BUY THESE

These sneakers were exactly what I was looking for. The brown is exactly as pictured. They were comfortable right out of the box. Once I adjusted the laces, the zipper gave me no issue at all. I was able to wear them all day comfortably the very first time. The arch support is also great on these shoes. The price was a little steep, but worth it. Great quality sneaker.

Love theses shoes. I have narrow feet and like most Taos shoes these fit my narrow feet. Taos thank you for making fun, stylish shoes for the narrow footed?

The toe is wider than expected, which I love, and the laces allowed me to customize the fit while the zipper makes putting them on easy. Other reviewers mentioned that the zipper didn't work well, but my pair's zippers are perfect. Love them!

They fit perfect-size 9- loved the caramel color...super comfy and cute!!
