This shoe fits perfectly with no socks. I like to wear socks sonetimes so I stretched them a bit with with a shoe stretcher.

The advantage compared to other topsider-like-shoes is that they have a thicker sole, which absorbs shocks better. The disadvantage is that they are quite narrow. I have a high instep and can only wear them with the insoles out. With insoles, they put pressure on the foot and it's uncomfortable.

I have been wearing many different pairs of Eccos since ~2003 in a size 44 (I am a US 11.5) as Eccos tend to run large. This one, I couldn't even fit my foot in the shoe - it seems at least 2 sizes too small. Seems like I'd almost need an Ecco size 46.
