Being a golfer I was concerned if this hat would work for me. I measure 22 5/8 inches (57 1/2 cm). Allowing a little room for comfort - my normal hat size is 7 3/8 (59 cm). The medium size fits perfect and can be further adjusted with their elastic hook system in their hat sweat band. I golf a couple times a week and sometimes it gets very windy. I opted to change their hat chin strap system into a trooper style (back of the head tightening system) as seen in my picture. If I don't need the extra tightness - I adjust the slide very loose and if I need the extra tightness - I tighten it as needed. I played the other day in 20 mph winds without any problems. Additionally, I purchased a 1 inch magnetic coat button - put some double sided tape on it - and inserted it into their sunglass slot to hold my ball marker as the brim is not stiff enough to support a slide-on magnetic ball marker. Now I have the perfect golf hat. FYI: I also own a Tilley LTM5 - and the quality is every bit as good - at half the price.

This is a well fitting hat with a nice stiff brim. It handles windy conditions very well with the chin strap. It is my new go-to golf hat!

I had high hopes for this hat and what can I say boy did it deliver. I had been looking for a new hat to replace my larger outback hats for doing yard work and just running around town. I was a little concerned about the brim sizing, but it was actually perfect. The team really did a great job taking the cut into consideration to achieve that perfect style. If your looking for the outdoorsman style without the large 3" brim then this is the hat for you!

Really appreciate an amazing sun hat where the brim is 360-degrees but isn't umbrella sized. Also, it's bluesign material on top of Sunday Afternoons having a "giving back" program. Thanks for doing that.

I really like the option to be able to adjust the hat for the fit you want and need. Good quality and great gray color. Like the option of color choices.

The Charter Escape is a great hat for camping, hiking, etc. The fit is good, even for my extra large head (~24"). The construction seems to be very high quality, which I've come to expect from Sunday Afternoons. I've used/abused several of their hats here in Alaska, and been incredibly happy every time. This hat is no exception. High quality and great in warm and cool weather. As usual, well done!

I bought this a few weeks ago in Large, which I was worried about being too small. It adjusted to fit my 7 3/4 head with some room to spare. It's well made, although I'm still not quite sure what to use the hidden pocket for. Suggestions?

My family has 3 of these hats we love it so much. Looks great after being packed for travel. Works great in snow and light rain. I also found out it looks great on horseback- that was when my wife took it from me.

I'm very impressed with my new Charter Escape Hat. It fits very well. I like that the brim is slightly smaller, contoured and seems stiffer which should allow it to keep it's shape.

I bought this hat for my husband. He wears it all the time. He likes the style, the fit and the Sun Glass holder. Great hat for protection from high altitude Colorado Sun. It is his everyday hat.

Bought this for the hot sunny days out on the golf course (also beach days, boating, etc). Like the smaller brim so it doesn't interfere with my swing and so it doesn't get blown away easily. Great hat!

As advertised, this Charter Escape is a smaller version of the Charter hat. Perfect for travel and walks around town. Will save my bigger Charter hat for hikes and travel when I need more sun protection. I really appreciate the chin strap to keep it from flying off when windy- not available with many other brands. Also like the inside brim size strap for fine tuning the fit.

Love this Hat....trust the size chart plus it has great adjustability as well. Medium is perfect for my 23" measurement...I now have all 3 colors with tons of compliments!!
