My normal Clark's shoe size has been 8W for years with perhaps two times a size 7.5 W. I have owned over 30 pairs of Clark's since Jan. 2001. These shoes ran at least a full size smaller and the Wide width really was not wide enough! I would easily need a size 9 WE in this shoe! Thank heaven for Zappos wonderful Return policy.

I was looking for quite a while for a plain shoe, good insole and support, with a strap over my foot as I have trouble keeping flats that don't have a strap WITH VELCRO CLOSURE that I can adjust. These were the only ones I finally found, so I gave them a try and they are exactly what I wanted.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Walking around my kitchen, these shoes felt comfortable, so I decided to keep them. But after walking fifteen minutes outside, I had blisters and red spots in several different places. The shoes fit well -- the problem lies in the design. The fabric extends over the top of the foot where the strap connects, creating friction and pressure points when wearing the shoes for more than just a few minutes. Unfortunately I can't return them, since I wore them for a short walk before discovering these flaws.

Man oh man did I want to keep these. Clark's has always been known for narrow shoes, but not any more. These are fabulously comfy, soft, and supportive. BUT, I never could get them to snug down over my instep, which is the exact opposite of the my usual problem. I am returning simply because of that.

Wanted closed toe and like the look of the Mary Jane. Haven't worn yet but I think I will love it. Hard to find wide width in navy comfort shoe.

I liked the styling and comfort of this shoe, BUT there is a seam and stitching a the side of the foot that rubs over the joint of the little toe on my foot. It was painful.
