I have another pair of this style in a different color so knew I needed an 8.5 in this sandal. I would never usually wear an 8.5, I wear a 9 or even sometimes a 9.5, depending on the style and brand. My podiatrist recommended Vionic sandals (hot climate) as I had Posterior Tibial Tendinitis. I find these sandals give me the correct amount of support I need and, most importantly, no pain on walking. As an added bonus they look cute.

These are GREAT shoes! I have very high arches and have to be carful with shoes. These look so nice and feel equally nice!

Wanted a pair of nice-looking yet very casual sandals. These are perfect and very cute. I have a pair of Vionic Walking Shoes and another pair of Athletic Shoes. Just like those, these feel a little "off" in the arch when I first put them on, probably because they actually have an arch unlike most flat-soled styles, it's not uncomfortable but not like wearing slippers, either. Excellent support, worth the price.

These are beautifully made shoes. Unfortunately my foot would not slip into the shoe due to tightness of the top strap. Too uncomfortable to were to try to "break the in". I was sad to have to return these.

I went with suggestion of ordering 1/2 size smaller. My first pair of Vionics! I like to refer to these as my pretty & stylish “sensible shoes”.... I now have confidence in trying more styles by Vionic. A bit pricey, but knowing I’m caring for my feet with support and real materials=worth it!

These Vionic Haydens (black) are incredibly comfortable and my favorite casual sandals. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear based on other reviews and they fit perfectly. I have narrow feet and these feel a bit wider than my other shoes but not terribly so.

Was hesitant to order these sandals because of reviews, but glad I did. They fit perfectly right out of the box. Look really nice with pants and skirts.

I ordered the wide shoes but the they were not wide enough for me. I often have to order 4E shoes so keep that in mind when making your decision. Footbed was very comfortable but the straps would not allow me to get my foot completely into the shoe.

I am normally a size 8 shoe sometimes a 7.5, but after reading the reviews I ordered a 7. The width is perfect and my plantar fasciitis has been an issue with them at all. The size 7 was almost too short, but after wearing for 2 days the leather relaxed enough to where they fit perfectly. I like that the cork look almost disappears, so while still allowing comfort they are dressy enough for work.

It took me three tries to get the right size and color but I am happy that I persisted. The shoe looks great with dresses, jeans, and nicer pants and although it felt stiff at first it is fine now with just a little break in time. I started with my usual Vionic size of 10 M was way too long. The 9 was too small but the 9.5 was finally right.

I started with my usual size 7.5 W which was way big. Returned for the 7W and it is perfect. So if you are in between, on this shoe, I suggest going a half size down.

I usually take a 9, but I have a wide foot, so when it is truly a wide shoe, I sometimes take an 8.5. I ordered the nine, and it was too large. I was going to order an 8.5, but they didn't have it, so I ordered the 8 just to see how it would fit. The 8 fit fine, actually it may be a touch too big still but I decided to stick with it and the width was perfect. It is only the straps that are a little loose. The arch support is great, my feet feel better walking in them. Also, I need a lot of cushioning in a shoe and while it doesn't feel squishy it does seem to work for me.

I love Vionics. I have purchased both sandles and boots. The boots run true to my foot size which is an 8. The sandles run a size smaller. Good to know. Classic and comfortable.

I haven’t worn these a lot yet but I’m really happy with them. For My foot they fit great tho I can see how it would be too wide for those with narrow feet. I’ve got a sort of wider forefoot and skinny ankle. I’m a true 7 and always wear 7 in this brand. These fit perfect. The arch is awesome. Some might say the footbed is firm but it’s still comfortable for me. I prefer some firmness over too much squish. At first I thought they seemed heavy but they are ok. They aren’t the lightest shoes but they’re not too heavy. I like the look - the leather is pretty and the cross straps look nice and hold my foot in (again because I’ve got a wider foot the straps are perfect). I love the platform; it gives you height without being too much. They’re on the casual side for sure but could work with casual skirts. I may get the brown suede too. Love them.

Feels comfy & true to size

Well made and very nice looking, but too wide for my medium width foot. Couldn’t keep them on while walking. Sadly had to return them.

I originally ordered wide but they fell of my feet. Exchanged for medium and fit fine. First time rubbed top of feet a bit. Second time just big toe. I think third time will be fine. Wonderful arch support. Love the style!

Cute shoe. Great color! Have worn them twice and they rub a little bit where the strap crosses my big toe, but I think it'll be fine with a few more wears. Happy with them!

Great style but they run very large. I wear Vionic slippers and have another style of sandal, so I know how the brand typically fits. I ordered the Hayden in 6W, the same size as my other sandals and they were huge in terms of length and volume under the straps. Unfortunately, that is the smallest size available from the manufacturer with the wide footbed.

I loved the look of these sandals but sizing was really off. They were so wide and almost 2 sizes too large for my feet! Wish they came in narrow.

Very comfy shoe. Red is just not my color, located the neutral shade on Vionic website but ultimately decided I was not comfortable with the height.

Love these sandals but be aware they’re extremely slippery, especially if wet. There just isn’t much traction on the bottom of the shoes.

I really wanted to like these! However, the straps were way too loose and I felt like my feet could slip out of them, so they had to go back.

Love Vionic shoes! Hayden shoes super cute. Have both the red and black! Be AWARE tho - these run LARGE! I typically wear a 8, but wear a 7 in the Haydens.

I've been searching for years for a pair of sandals with this kind of style - simple black platform sandals, with a black sole and wide, criss-cross wide straps ... something solid and higher-end, not just a cheap flimsy sandal. I was thrilled when I saw these, and even happier that they were available in wide. I bought these just before a trip to Italy, and was a bit unsure about them because the soles feel rather stiff when you put them on (the only reason I don't give them 5 stars across the board). After walking around the cobblestone streets of Rome for 3 days wearing my trusty NB tennis shoes, my ankles were killing me - a feeling I'd never had before. The next day I decided to give the tennies a break and wear these sandals. I couldn't believe the difference and immediate relief! The stiff soles of these sandals provided great support on the uneven surfaces, and my ankles felt fine all day. I could also feel more give in the soles after walking around for a bit - the are more cushy than they seem at first. After that day I was completely sold on these shoes. I've never had a pair of Vionics before, but will definitely be looking more at this brand for future shoe purchases.
