I bought this for a hiking trip in Mendocino in the Russian Gulch National Park. It kept me nice and clean because there was some muddy parts of the trail. Climbing up and down the trail was a breeze especially since I'm clumsy when going down a trail with ragged rocks and sand but this boot kept me really stabilized.
Because I heard that these boots run small it would be best to get half or one whole size bigger. I'm usually a 6.5 and/or 7 but with this boot I went with 7 1/2. It fits perfectly with room to spare and it didn't squish my top foot!

Bought these North Face Vectiv hiking boot for a week long trip to Iceland in November. Not only are they waterproof and so comfortable they are extremely light weight but with plenty of ankle support. I wore them the entire week in all conditions and I'm totally enjoying them at home stateside.

I live in the northeast and was looking for a hybrid hiking & walking sneaker that provides ankle support and water resistance for fall and winter. Found a pair of these in a local store, tried them on and fell in love. Color was too light for winter weather messyness so I ordered the black online, which arrived very quickly. I wear a medium width size 9, with a slightly wide toe bed, narrow heal and bunions, making it hard to find a comfortable shoe without a time-consuming search. I'm thrilled to find these. Have put in about 40 miles in the past 2 weeks and love how 'springy' they feel. They also look really cute on!

I have really problem feet - Achilles tendonosis, plantar fasciitis & mortons neuroma - so really suffer from heel through to toe. I ordered these shoes as I needed a shoe that was firm enough support, yet comfortable enough for extended wear. After much research, I found a rocker foot shoe in the Vectiv with a higher ankle that doesn't press on my Achilles'. The rocker design, despite it's intention to provide forward propulsion, is actually perfect for me as I now do not actually push off the ball of my foot with an accentuated stretching of my Achilles, but can walk very comfortably just letting the rocker sole do the work. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT SHOES thank you thank you!

I absolutely love these hiking shoes. They are so lightweight and comfortable yet sturdy. It's like walking on a cloud without feeling any rocks underneath! I never tried them on and went up half a size per reviews and they fit great. I am usually an 8.5 and ordered a size 9. I used them in mud and had to walk through rocks and they were sturdy and durable ! Highly recommend!

Bought these for my girlfriend and she loves them. Very stylish, comfortable, great grip, and plenty of ankle support.

I did a mountain hike in the PNW that was very rocky, filled with deep streams you had to walk through and feet of snow. These boots held up against every element and best of all, they're so light you don't even feel them. Can't wait to hike in these again.

Love these stylish sneaker boots! Warm and comfortable in cold and wet weather. I've been using them for trail runs this winter. They look great as casual wear too. Only negative criticism is the toe box is rather narrow.

I gave it four stars only because my 53 year old mom got the same pair and her pinky toe rubbed a little bit and she's trying to stretch it out so that doesn't happen again, otherwise perfect.

Great shoes, does not need breaking period, but toe box is too narrow so it hurt my toes an unfortunately had to return them. I have normal to slightly wide feet.

There is barely any arch support in these shoes. However, I bought some supports to put in them so I could go hiking. Unfortunately, the right shoe folds on the toes making my big toe have pain throughout the hike.

Have wider feet / high arches size 8.5. Sized up to 9 US to have room for midweight wool socks. First pair in grey lasted about a mile of urban concrete walking and the right shoe started making a popping noise. Though there was a problem with one shoe, was overall pleased that I walked 2.5 miles, forgot to bring moleskin, and had no sore spots on feet at all. Returned first pair as defective, received a black pair hoping it was just a one-off issue. Great service from Zappos as usual!
So far no issues after about 3 miles of wear. These are stiffer and have more support than running shoes but wear as easily as lightweight running shoes.

Love these boots! Tread is wonderful. They are perfectly snug on my feet and stylish. I have received many compliments hiking with these boots. Would buy again in other colors as well!

Great hiking shoes. Kind of propels you forward which took getting used to, but loved it once I did.

This is my first pair of North Face and it is a great shoe. I have several foot issues - occasional plantar fasciitis, ingrown nails and more. The toe box in these shoes is extremely comfortable. The arch support is adequate. Grip is strong. I did size up 1/2 so that I could wear wool socks with them. I have been using them on short hikes but the real test will be five days hiking in Utah. I am certain that they will be up to the task.

Great walking around boot, I'm on my feet 10-12 hours walking for work, these have been the most comfortable boot I found thus far.

I used these for the first time just last weekend and hiked 5 miles in them. Without them I'm sure I would've rolled an ankle. They were perfect.

Very happy with these boots! Though it felt counterintuitive, I pulled them right out of the box and put them on for a day long, muddy, dusty hike (even trekked through a little creek) and they kept up with me every step of the way. I wore tall wool blend socks with them and my feet stayed dry all day, no blisters, no rubbing. I ordered true to size and they were snug but not tight. Super comfy, definitely recommend!

My four day hiking trip won't be until a couple of months from now. Meantime, I slipped my left foot in, and the shoe felt narrow. The right one felt fine. I was sure I'd have to return them. BUT after a short while, they seemed to have conformed to my feet, magically. So far, I really love the soft wrap around my feet, especially the ankles. Great support with cushy feel. Also, relatively light compared to my other hiking boots. I hope they're truly waterproof, with grippy soles, and hold up to rugged terrain. P.S. I tend to flare up my plantar fasciitis with bad shoes. So, I'm counting on these ones to keep me going.
