The Sonic 4 confidence are such great looking shoes with unrivalled comfort and fit. Super cushioned and holds my narrow heel in perfectly. I cant ever see myself buying anything else now, this is my everyday shoe and provides excellent comfort for the jogging or running after the kids that I do most days. Well done Salomon, smashed it.

I hadn't bought Salomon road shoes before, but after my good experience with their trail shoes I thought I'd give them a shot. I've had these shoes for about two months, and I'll admit, at first I wasn't a huge fan. Out of the box they are pretty stiff, which is to be expected, but the break in on these shoes were a bit longer than the Salomon trail shoes and pretty much all my other other road runners. Now that I have about 110 miles on them, I enjoy the fit and flexibility. I bought these for longer road runs at a relaxed pace, and they are great for that I definitely don't use them for any speed work (but I don't think they are designed for that anyway). I have very narrow feet and they fit pretty good when I cinch them down, I think there would still be room for people with regular to semi-narrow feet.

I bought the Sonic 4 Confidence for my shorter the medium training non-trail runs and it has done the trick. I have a narrow foot, so many of the American brands don't fit my foot very well. The Confidence looks like I can run it more than 400 miles.

As the third shoe in the Sonic lineup, you would expect these to be the max cushion easy day shoe. They are not. What they are is a firm (very?) supportive daily trainer. They have nice smooth transition and comfortable, great fitting upper. I'm not sure they a true "stability" shoe, more of a supportive neutral shoe. And a very good one at that. The only real negative, by today's standard this is a very firm shoe. If you run with a heavy foot strike your probably not going to enjoy these shoes.

I bought them month ago and I use it for running 5 k usually there very comfortable, a little narrow for my feet I use normal on other brands so just so you know, everything else is great

These had a super soft soul and great cushioning for heel strike jogging. Unfortunately the soft insole wasn't supportive enough for me and caused my plantar fasciitis to flare back up.

Love Salomon, and this is my shoe. But I love these less than the 2nd and 3rd models of this shoe. Ive been in these shoes Sonic RA for just about every generation and this feels like Salomon may be chasing the market somewhat and getting bigger and softer. I'm a big guy and old ! , I like soft but I also always really appreciated the firm structure of Salomon, really felt like I was getting something. These feel more like Sacucony or some other brand. I sure hope this trend doesn't continue

I got these shoes about a month ago on a warranty claim with rapid tread wear on a set of XRaise hiking shoes. I decided to go with a pair of road runners for longer life, so far I think the wear is worse! Salomon contagrip compound needs to be changed. I've only used these shoes for walking around and the tread looks like a winter tires being used in Mexico. The shoe itself is ok, nothing to rave about. To that end, I will definitely not be buying Salomon shoes again.
