Like the boots--they run larger than normal. I am an 11 1/2 narrow and the medium width is too wide so I put another insole in. I also don't like corded laces because they always come untied, but I can easilly change those out.

I just spent the weekend in the mountains and this boots were amazing. I was doing 5 to 8 miles a day and they felt great. Lots of support, grip and held up in the ran/snow. I had no break-in period with these boots prior to this but they were extremely comfortable. I hope they last a long time. I highly recommend these boots

I have owned several iterations of the Quest boot since 2016 with pretty good results. In the past few years the quality has gone down slowly to the point that my last boots just past the 2 year mark and a large chunk of the sole fell off out of warranty and another pair has broken eyelets.
I ordered a new pair with 25% off on the website and what I received you can see in the pictures.
The left one had missing stitches and a slightly messed up top eyelet. The right had some defect on the leather.
I contacted Solomons customer support and the response I got was sorry and to return the boots. I was told I would receive a refund after they receive the boots and I could order a new pair.
I asked them to just to send me another pair of boots when they receive mine, so no refund/charge but they said they couldnt do that.
I asked them for a discount just to keep the boots with the defects and they didnt respond to that, just said no, just send back the boots.
I asked for a discount again because of all of this and I actually received a 20% off discount code but I cant use it on the discounted boots that I just purchased!
I was also told I could get next day air shipping, but I would have to pay for it and then when I receive the boots, they would refund me.
This is unacceptable for something that wasnt my fault to begin with due to poor quality control checks.
I am not saying Im done with Solomon boots/shoes because I own quite a few pairs However, this is possibly one of the worst Customer Service experiences Ive had in a while.
Just make it right, Solomon! Thanks

Haventg worn these yet, but have previous 4d GTX one, and THEY WERE ROCK SOLID. I bought the new alpine mids but realized pretty quick its not enough for heavy backcountry hikling, so bought these too. That bering said salomon shoes fit exact same as all other of their shoes. I debated other brands just to tru something different but, they are a very reliable goto. Wish they came in non-green l;ike mine rather than the light blue from lkike 5yrs ago but tehre so good it was a non brainer.

Greatest Christmas present ever! Felt a little stiff at first but after wearing them a day or two they feel great! Comfortable just on my feet or hiking for multiple miles. Keep my feet warm and dry even on snow and slushy trails. Highly recommend these boots. Ive worn more expensive and less expensive boots and these are worth the money!

I ordered an 11 size running shoe, and these boots in an 11. Shoes fit great, but these boots are way too big. Might be a good idea to size down a half to a whole size. Great looking boots though!

Salomon Quest 4 is a great trekking shoe, It runs true to size and is confortable, never felt my feet sore. Quality is superior, after heavy use walking in harsh terrains like mud, gravel, water or sand it is still intact as the first day, it can withstand harsh conditions.
This product is great if you are walking uphill or downhill since the laces, hooks and the construction itself gives you a variety of options to ensure confort.

I've bought this boot before, but seems like Salomon changed up the fit. Its much larger than before. I have a thin foot and its not a great fit anymore.

I really wanted to like these boots because I spent way too much money on a hiking boot. I hike in true elevation (6000-12000 feet) and the first problem I had was these boots giving me gnarly blisters. So I thought ok, break in period, well its been six months and many miles of constant use and still same thing as day one. Ive learned the limit is about 3 miles a day then the blisters start. The second problem is that the toes are starting to fall apart already. SO disappointing that companies cant figure out a good glue for these cheaply made boots. Ive learned that if you want a truly good boot, it has to be old school stitched because glue will fall apart no matter how expensive the boot is. I have a pair of red wings that refuse to quit after almost ten years of use. That is all Ill be purchasing from now on.

Worn through 3 pairs as daily drivers for hikes and jobsite trailer duty.
Technically the tongue strap placement is an improvement. 4d chassis is still a must, so I dont want other options with Salomon. Im very hesitant on #4 because the latest rubber toe piece design ripped way too fast as compared to rips only after boot was past its duty cycle. Cant help but be reminded of the ripped rubber toe. Buy again $$$ same result vs a different designed competitors boot. Love the comfort, dislike the length of life for the cost. TBD

My new boots really got put to the test in the PNW. Rained for four straight days while hiking, feet stayed nice and dry in the quest 4 gtx. Extremely happy

I switched to these boots about three years ago when the perfect boot stop being produced. These boots used to be a purchase and ready to rock kind of boot. I find them to rigid, and fit like a boot you would pick up in a pinch at target or somewhere not known for their boots.

Second pair of these boots. My first pair I got the desert tan ones and they fit like a glove. This time around I got the green pair and they were not as nice of a fit when first putting on. Quite rigid and needed to be broken in. I compared to my other pair and it seemed as if the material was slightly different. The first pair came from Cambodia the second from Vietnam. I ended up not liking the green color as much so I'll be returning to get the dessert tan again.

Wear conditions: woods, nursery farm, and other various terrain. Easily walk several miles a day due to work.
Daily wear for over a year, and the soles held up well! I normally struggle with one side of my shoe sole wearing down but these boots have held up, still are, in fact. I have ordered a pair as a gift for a friend, and just ordered my second pair. As long as they keep making them like this, I will be sticking with this boot for a long time to come. Highly recommend.

I purchased a pair last November. I started experiencing blistering on my right foot immediately after use, on the outside of pinky toe. I was hoping that it would dissipate after the break-in period. However, that was not the case. I recently reached out to customer service, hoping they would help me getting a replacement, or something. However, I was denied a warranty claim, stating that their warranty doesnt cover poor fit. My issue with this, is that Ive never had any issues with fit through Salomon. Its clearly a creasing issue with the toe mold. I am saddened to see that Salomons customer service failed to make this right.

Bought 2 pairs, one for myself and one for my wife. 10min walk through a morning grass and both pairs are wet inside, from where they then take good 2-3 days to dry.
Nonexistent grip on hard wet surfaces. Good luck walking on a rocky trail.

I work as a forester and these only lasted a month before they fell apart. Mesh tore from the solid material and the sole doesn't have much grip. sides of the shoe tore and ripped of leaving them difficult to walk in.

You sent the wrong item. You would not do an exchange but made me wait for a complicated return. So I bought the same boot from a third party. You should simply your return policy for better business. Great boot. Bad service. Thsnks

Had two pairs of these boots in the last two months. I warrantied them both at the retailer with the same issue and ended up going with a different brand in the end. The toe piece would separate from the main body within the first few days of hiking. Ive seen this same issue in the comments quite a bit. I had the generation before this model for eight years and wore the tread off the boot before anything failed. Disappointing. Bring the old model back.
