Just picked these up from teva.com last week. Going to go into detail on what Teva did well and what could be changed. On what they did well: The heel area of the midsole is curved upward at the very back. This allows the heel to strike more naturally which is to say -right under the heel. Comparing this build to that of the Arrowood Riva, the Riva's heel extends beyond the back of the foot which causes the back of the shoe to buckle in behind the heel. For me anyways, my right heel always feels a little loose compared to my right so the fact that the Ridgeview mid puts the heel strike under the heel is a win over the Arrowood Riva( which I wore for a few days). The Ridgeview is WIDE! I wear a 12 B in work boots so I put a thin doctor sholls odor eater under the Teva insole to help shim the foot up. SIZING- I wear a size 12 in everything except for Tevas. Size 13 for Teva. I tried a size 12 and my toe went right to the front of the boot. Design wise I feel that Teva should have used the same leather trim material used on the boot as the tongue material also instead of the scrunchy polyester weave they went with. The lace width is perfect, the eyelets aren't too close together across the foot. The amount of outsole on the bottom towards the back concerns me. It ends up in a very thin strip clued to the mid soul. Hopefully this won't peel off, time will tell. Also if they wanted to effectively put their branding on it, that little piece of fabric that folds down on the uppers is not a good spot. They should have engraved TEVA in yellow on the outside of the toe bumper. These are Boo ts with a lot of cushion to them And the midsole sort of looks like that off of a Hoka shoe. So far they seem to be pretty breathable even with the waterproof lining but we haven't gotten into the thick of summer quite yet. I would say these are much more breathable already than the Arrowood Riva's's that I wore for a few days. I may update the rating as time goes on.

I wear a size 13 in running shoes and these fit the same. While I haven't done extensive hiking in these, I did a short 2 mile hike. Shoes a very comfortable, no rubbing, good toe area, and crossed some small streams with no water penetration. They are also lightweight on the foot. I've had 2 operations on my ankle and need the support of a mid top. These fit the bill and my ankle felt fine after the short hike and wearing them all day. Would recommend!

My son is a botanist working at a greenhouse nursery lugging and watering trees and plants all day. These boots are super lightweight, comfortable, waterproof, and perfect for his needs. I highly recommend!

Wearing in sandy soil the inside lining of the boots have somehow filled with sand. When you shake them they sound like a mariachi! They also get heavier and the sand also gets below the footbed making the sole uncomfortable. The sand also slowly releases into the shoe when wearing anywhere so even when not in sandy soil there is sand releasing inside the shoe. My guess is the fabric the shoe is made of allows the sandy soil to get inside the shoe somehow and it gets sort of stuck in between the fabric and waterproof liner then finds it way into the footbed and under the sole

Good looking boot that fits great, is comfortable, but sturdy where you want it, good materials and seems like it will hold up well. Been using them for short hikes and for tactical shooting. Nothing but good things to say!

The most comfortable hiking shoe I've ever bought. The comfort of a tennis shoe with enough ruggedness you can wear it anywhere. Highly recommend.

Two small gripes: it's a bit tight to insert my foot, but once on, the fit is comfortable, with lots of toe space.
The rough coating on the front part is flaking off; a slight aesthetic defect.
Otherwise, I am very pleased with the Tevas!

I work in the construction industry and stand on my feet all day so I use hiking boots to aide in my feet being comfortable and dry. These boots are the best. I purchase purchased multiple pairs so I can have comfortable shoes for some time to come. Best hiking shoes I've purchased so far.

These are perfect. They provide lots of support, are comfortable yet not too soft & squishy, are waterproof, and look great. Just what I need for walking through the woods and tramping around town. The Vibram soles have plenty of grip for slippery surfaces and still are easy on my worn out knees. Thanks, Teva.

I have been using these for construction and hiking. I'm carpenter and have had these for about 2 months. I've probably put what would be 6-8 months of wear for most people on these already. Shoes were a little hard to get on the first couple weeks but after some break in they were fine. I never get blisters on my feet so can't speak to any of the other reviews. I've found the shoes to be comfy from the first time wearing and are still very comfy after all the wear and remain so for a long day of walking, lifting timbers and climbing on framing. I'm getting another pair because I am picky about my shoes and these hit all the marks. Probably light-medium weight, pretty waterproof unless extensively saturated. I have very wide, flat feet. Nice job Teva.

I was in suspect but took the risk and am extremely surprised. It's been my go to boot for lite hiking. Open toe box area for natural forefoot splay yet secure in the heel and arch .
Lite weight and good traction.

I have been searching for the perfect hiking boot / shoe for a long time and this is it. Snug in all the right places for my flat feet and light weight. Now to put them to the time test and see how long they hold up.

My Ridgeviews have many miles on them, and they are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I have a wide forefoot but narrow instep and the Ridgeview Mid fits me perfectly. Love the extra cushioning. I appreciate the understated styling and colors because I can wear these boots both in the field and in restaurants while I'm leading my photography workshops. I just bought a second pair in fear that Teva might discontinue this boot. I also have the low-cut version - a great all-around shoe.

My new disc golf kicks. They're still pretty new, so they need to endure the AZ desert mountain at about 20 miles per week. Merrell and Keen have failed so far where Under Armor and Nike have excelled. Excited for these to last because they are the most comfortable of all in cushion, support, and width.

I wear these for work and now also casual. More than 5 years ago teva stopped making hiking shoes and concentrated on water shoes and sandals for awhile, I'm so glad you came to your senses and I can get these again.

Needed a pair of lightweight boots for work but didn't want a traditional heavy work boot heading into summer. The wider toe box area makes them a total winner for me. Please don't ever discontinue or change the design. Plan on buying these for years to come. Trust me they are comfortable!!!

I bought my first pair these for an 8 day camping trip to Death Valley in March of 2022, which included a 4 day solo fast (not really relevant to the boots, but). I walked (and jogged) in the desert all day, every day, and these boots were great!

I have owned two pairs of Teva Arrowood Venture Mid WP Black 14 D shoes/boots before this purchase. Obviously I really like them. I wear them daily from March to November each year to walk the trails in our many wooded parks with my dog. I also wear these shoes during the warm and hot weather to work in the yard and run errands. I purchased these new Ridgewood mids for the same purpose and have found them to be light weight, waterproof but breathable, durable and nice looking. The one difference is that these new kicks have a heavier tread which is nice for the rugged trails but honestly I liked the tamer tread on the Arrowood.

Top Notch boots, Vibram sole is the best. Wear these all day for working and great comfort for all surfaces including concrete.
Wish they made some lighter colors for summer months.

I hate that I can't buy anything, visit a doctor, eat a meal, without being relentlessly hounded to rate the experience.

Purchased (mid, grey/black) to replace a pair of heavily worn MOAB's. Initial thoughts after unboxing and wearing for a couple days around the house: 1) the toe box is nice and wide. I sometimes have to jump up a 1/2 to 1 size (I have med wide feet), depending on how narrow shoes are, but these are wide enough to allow ample toe wiggle room even with thick-ish hiking socks, 2) build quality and materials seem very high quality and sturdy so I'm hopeful they will last longer, 3) I like the understated design elements - I've always hated how loud and "hiking boot" hiking boots are - these are def not that and I will not feel dorky wearing them to the pub with a pair of jeans, 4) arch support isnt great, but I typically require more than average arch support so I plan to add a different insole as with most shoes. Overall, very happy with these - comfortable toe box, sturdy build, and handsome.
