After major frustration trying to find cross training shoes I thought I'd give these a try. I love the shoe, but because of a misunderstanding on the model I'm returning them and getting a different pair of inov-8s. First, let me say that I think these are fantastic. inov-8 is made a shade wider than most fitness shoes and these fit true to size and were wide enough. I'm using these for HIIT so I gave them a couple of test jumps and the lateral traction is great. But this is when I realized my error: "Bare" refers to the feel, and translates to minimal sole cushioning. They do have some arch support but it's through the material in the side of the shoe and not an arch cushion. If I was using them for kickboxing or other sports that don't have a lot of jumping, I would be elated to have found these. You actually feel the nuance of the ground below you. But my 50-yo feet need some cushioning under the balls of my feet and so they will be exchanged.

Well made, but too wide for narrow feet. It's hard to find zero-drop fitness shoes that fit me. I ended up settling for Merrell Trail Glove "5" series.

These are amazing! I needed a minimalist shoe to replace my old Merrell trail gloves that are no longer made. The mesh is really comfortable and there's tons of toe box room. They do look a little wide when you put them on, but with my high arches I need that extra space.

I like these - both the looks and the feel. The sole really is "sticky" which I need and the footbed is replaceable and they are a nice barefoot feel but still protective. The problem is that is is too short by just enough that I couldn't wear socks comfortably. The width is good but I have narrower feet than some, especially around the ankle area.

I've toggled back and forth between Innovates and Merrell trail gloves and this last time I switch back to Innovates and I'm probably never going back to the Merrell's. These are comfy right out of the box and I wear them to my crossfit classes as well as around town. The purple looks great in person and they have just the right amount of cushion for a minimal shoe.

I typically wear a size 8 in shoes. I would suggest sizing 1/2 up. My toe was rubbing up against the front of the shoe in an 8. They do the job of a low profile shoe. Not much support. But grips the ground so you don’t slip when lifting. Allows for all your foot muscles to strengthen which is my goal right now. If you are looking for any arch support, you will Definitely need an insert for this shoe!

I ordered these after trying Xero shoes. The Xero were too wide in the toe box and too short in length. These fit perfect. I wear them to the gym for powerlifting and they provide me the balance I need. If you’re looking for something with arch support these won’t be for you. And they run a bit narrow unlike the Xero shoe. These are true minimalist sneakers with style.

I was hesitate to buy these, but I'm so glad I did. They grip the gym floor so well and now I don't have to worry about falling off-balance or slipping on weight days.

These are great for strength training. Helps with stability. They feel a little snug but not in a bad way.

Felt small - also thought they would be wide for a more natural feel, no wide size offered.

They fit and feel great, a bit wider compared to F-Lite 260. I wouldn’t recommend them for outdoor running because you will literally feel everything your feet step on. Haven’t tried them doing CrossFit yet.

These shoes were exactly what I was looking for - I purchased them for weight lifting and similar workouts. Unfortunately I have high arches and the shoe was tight over the top of my foot in that area. There was plenty of room in the toe box just not in the area over the top of my foot. I really wanted to keep them but the fit wouldn't let me.

I'm looking for an athletic shoe that I can wear while cycling. My usual size is 9 so I ordered a half size up. They are still too small so back they go. I love Zappos return policy!

I bought these to wear exclusively when I'm doing weight training at the gym. They are exactly what I was looking for. I've worn them once. They are comfortable, attractive and allow me to feel the floor beneath my feet.

fits very well. Not too tight. Super light. Flat bottom. Just what I was looking for.

These shoes are the most comfortable walking and floor workout shoes I have owned. My feet don’t tire even for long periods of walking and standing. The soles are somewhat thin but even with my very high arches they feel great. The only thing I don’t like is the logo being in color and visible as it is a rather ugly logo. I have the purple pair and the logo is purple so no problem. The black pair has a silver logo… ugly.

It feels like you have no shoes on at all. Very comfortable and light. My only worry is that there is not much support on the rolling out of the ankle. There is a lot of support for the inward rotation of the ankle. Time will tell.

I was looking for a minimal shoe for indoor training. These are definitely minimal. So much so that I decided to add another pad to create a little more cushion. They're nice looking and the sizing was true for me. I'm an 8 in Nike and most New Balance, and the 8 here works for me.

These are comfortable, light weight shoes. I like the fact that the heel is level, not raised and that the padding is not overdone. The toe box is roomy. Great for the gym and traveling.

I purchased these for weight lifting. I love a flat shoe with a good grippy sole. These were perfect. Sticky on the gym floor and flexible. Great style, too. A tiny bit snug in the toe but I don't mind because I only wear them in the gym. I will say that if it is raining they are a little slick outdoors.

I had bought a pair of these once before in size 8, women’s. This time when I ordered them, I didn’t notice the default sizing was UK, which translates to a size 10.5 American! Yeek! Anyway, Zappos was great about the return and I got my US size 8, and the shoes are a perfect fit, still. This was a great relief because often after a couple of years people report that the shoe they fell in love with fits differently than the ones they got before. Great Zappos service, as I am always wowwed by.

This feels well made but not exactly what I was looking for. The sole seems to have really good stickiness for stability and it does feel like almost being barefoot. It was too big for me & I would prefer something with just a little more cushion. I usually wear a size 7 or 7.5 and I went with the 7.5 based on reviews, but there was definitely too much space in the toebox. I would definitely consider another shoe from this brand.

I'm usually a reliable size 8, but had to go up to a 8.5 with this shoe. That being said, I love the style and slim profile of the shoe. It's very light and perfect for any type of light workout (walking, gym, etc).

These were extremely comfortable right out of the box but I have a very high arch so the support was not enough for me. I hated to send them back but working out in them was not possible.

Just uncomfortable on my foot. Could be a little more flexible.
