I’m not in the habit of spending this much on boots and I’d never heard of this brand before. But I really dug the look of these and justified the price because they’re made in Italy and weather-treated for the long haul. Unlike a previous reviewer, I did not find these run too short. However, they are quite narrow. I’m right between a 8.5-9 and it’s always impossible to know which will work better for me; I opted for the 8.5 and was thrilled I chose correctly. I’d only order up if you plan to wear really thick socks or want to add an insole because I found these TTS. I have a narrow foot so loved that my heel doesn’t slip around like it does in most boots, but was surprised that the toe bed is also rather narrow; it’s an almond shape rather than the rounded toe described in the listing. I’d avoid this boot if you have a wider foot and more athletic ankles/calves. The leather is very buttery to touch, quite divine…tho I can’t say in appearance that it looks any higher-end than boots half this price. The lining is absolutely heavenly, pillowy soft and, unlike my Docs, there was an extremely easy to basically non-existent break in. The sole is kinda ‘soft’ and the boot is very lightweight, thus avoiding the clomp clomp sound. No squeaking either. Arch support is moderate and while they’re not like walking on air exactly, I find the insole super comfy for long days on my feet. Everything feels very high quality except the laces are kinda boring and cheap (and don’t come laced like in the pics so I may replace them). There’s no metal eyelets so down the road that could be a concern. The white contrast stitching and extended tongue keeps the boot casual and edgier (which I was after). The zipper works smoothly and makes on/off a breeze. Ultimately my only gripe is the price point. They come w/ a with a dust bag and certificate of authenticity.

Runs slightly short. Not crazy about the white stitching on the welt. (Looks strange.) Returned.

I typically buy shoes siz 9 or 9.5 (Stuart Weitzman, La Canadienne, Poppy Barley, Dolce Vita etc). If they have pointy toe, I choose 9.5, if it is almond or round toe, I am OK with 9. My Birkenstocks and Ecco are EU 40. However, I find that all of my Aquatalia shoes are dead on at size 9, regardless of toe shape style. I appreciate Aquatalia’s consistency in sizing, because all my shoes are bought online. These boots are not narrow - my feet are medium width - but they are slightly narrower than some other companies’ boots. This works for me, because I hate when my foot slips back and forth in the boots. The quality of leather, lining and softness of the sole is definitely worth the price, especially if you live in a wet climate (like Pacific Northwest). I typically wait for sales on shoes, but in this case I forked out the full price and do not regret it. If I could score the boots in white on sale, I would buy them as well.

Size ran a little small compared to other Aquatalia shoes. I am usually an 8.5 in this brand but need a 9 in this shoe. It is a beautiful combat boot. Perfect for rain, sleet, and snow. The leather is very soft, he sole is thick and the shoe is comfortable. Highly recommend it and consider going up a half size if you want to wear thicker socks.

Received a poorly packaged used pair, both side show sign of wearing and wrinkled leather. Also got the wrong size from what I placed in the order. The boots itself is comfortable, however Very disappointed with Zappos
