Comfortable out of the box. True to size, maybe a smidge large but good for thicker socks. These are attractive and functional. Yet to test whether they are indeed water repellent.

The fit and size are great. I look forward to taking a hike to see how they hold up in rocky and wet conditions.

Already hiked 16 miles very comfortable. I bought one size larger than my true size.

These are super comfortable and true to size! I think they make my feet look big/a little chunky but none of my family members think so. Overall a great shoe!

The grey fits better than the brown ones even though they are the same size and width.

Exactly what I was looking for lightweight, low cut, waterproof shoes. They're perfect for hiking.

These shoes were comfortable from the start. Nice cushioning in the sole. I would definitely purchase them again.

Approximately 6 yrs ago I bought my first pair of Columbia Hiking boots. As everyone knows, breaking in new shoes/boots is hard on the feet. Imagine my surprise when I wore my hiking boots for the first time and my feet were fine!!! No blisters! No red spots from rubbing! Just pure comfort from my boots. And those boots are still good to go; broken in and still no blisters of any type. Now fast forward to about 2 weeks ago - I bought my first pair of a Hiking Shoe which is more like a sneaker. Again, expecting the worse for my feet, I was happy after the first time wearing them because I had no blisters, nothing. Lots of traction on the soles. And the insoles of these sneakers are like walking on a thick rubber padding. It's wonderful! The sneakers, and my boots, run true to size. No need to up-size or downsize. When I need new hiking boots and sneakers, you can bet your last dollar I will order Columbi1 :)

The right shoe fit perfectly but the left shoe was too narrow. The sneakers were really nice though. They had a thick comfortable insole. Wish they fit right, but I needed to return them.

I am an avid gardener and will spend all day outside in the nice weather. I was looking for a comfortable waterproof shoe for gardening and yardwork. At my age, the rubber boots and garden clogs cause me knee and foot pain when I wear them for any extended time. These are super comfortable and so far, the waterproof claim is 100% accurate. These were so well worth the extra money compared to cheap garden shoes. I've also used them for hiking and they are just great! I am really very satisfied with this product. I wear an 8 wide an these were true to size.

My wife (for whom these shoes are) normally wears a 7-1/2. We ordered that and an 8. The 8 fit best, so we're returning the 7-1/2.

These hiking shoes fit well, with enough room in the toe box for my bunions. I did go up one full size to accomodate my orthotics and thicker socks. I wanted to keep them, but the gusset fold really hurt the top of my foot. I have to lace tightly because my ankles are so narrow, and it was too uncomfortable. If you don't have to lace as tightly as I do, these would be great shoes.

I owned a similar Columbia hiking shoe and wore it out. This replacement pair is smaller for the same size as the original.

These are great shoes. My one wish would be for more padding inside the tongue.

Very comfortable and rather cute for a hiking shoe. At 10M, these felt true to size. Unfortunately, I'm used to a firmer sole in my hiking shoes, and I think the flexible sole of these would make stepping on rocks more noticeable and lead to fatigue over time.

I ordered these in a wide, and even though the size was perfect for me (.5), the wide style did not give me enough room, feet felt crammed.

Not a bad shoe, but not for me. Toe box was much wider than I needed and would have caused trouble while hiking. However, solidly built at a good price.

Possibly good for others, but i found the inner sole a little hard and bumpy, and my right bunion felt pressure after a half hour of walking around indoors.

Great looking shoe. Does rub against my heal on left side, runs wide and seems either runs large or just bigger toe area than I'm use to. Fits fine with the laces tightened all the way up (I guess i have narrow feet when it comes to this brand). Soft inner padding feels nice and i haven't tried them in the rain yet, but did spray them with an extra layer of waterproofing spray, as no shoe is "waterproof" unless its pure rubber. They look like they will repel water great.

This pair seems to be getting back to better quality than the two previous pairs of Montrails I bought. I've hiked over 30 miles and they are sturdy but not overly stiff. The soles are grippy as usual - a reason I keep buying them, in addition to the narrow heel, which is hard to find.

Much too small. All the other reviews say the shoe runs large - not my experience. I usually wear 8W — I have a pair of Columbia hiking boots that size and they make my feet very happy. I could barely get my feet in 8W. The 8.5 W were too tight also - especially the right one (interesting because others say the left one runs smaller). I give up with this style and will try something else.

Nicely made, attractive lightweight hikers. I wanted to love them but I'm sending them back because of two issues. First, I could tell from walking around my house in them that one big toe would likely end up with a bruised toenail after a long hike and second, I felt a little compression on the ball of my other foot. I think if I went up a 1/2 size, I would have heel slippage. So close! But I think, with my feet that are slightly wide with narrow heels, I would be better off with hikers that run a little larger in the toe box.

Not that comfy feeling when I put my foot in for the first time. Wore them around the house, they felt clunky. Too tight towards the toe, returned them
