Comfortable but the back strap is too long so I can't get them snug.. the velcro seems to be in the wrong place. Wish I noticed this before I wore them or I would have returned.

Comfortable but the middle strap doesn't stay in place

Great walking shoes! I walked all around the cobblestone streets of Prague and my feet thanked me for it. The arch support really molds to your foot, wonderful shoe! My only downside is I wish the Velcro on the heel of the foot was a little shorter, i had to adjust to the tightest setting to make it stay since the shoe molds a bit to the foot so it's not as tight as when you first put them on.

I thought tests sandals were comfortable right out of the boxthey fit my ungainly feet (wide, high arch and instep)but after a while, I couldn't tolerate the chafing of the front straps on my toes and to top of my foot. The straps are cushioned but with rough stitching and fabric around the edges. I'm trying to decide whether to keep them, maybe will try some adhesive cushioning on the straps. But sadly, they just might have to go back.

These sandals are super cute and comfy. I usually wear a straight up size 9 shoe and the foot bed on the size nine is a teeny bit long but not enough to cause tripping or an ill fit.

I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes - these are wonderful. I hope Merrell will keep this model and improve on the strap system. As mentioned by other reviewers, if straps need to be tightened considerably there is a lot of length left over with no place to 'store' it. Perhaps more Velcro or a fabric loop to slide it through. (I might try to add my own loop.)

They're quite comfortable. The only issue is that the main front strap loosens every 5 minutes or so and you have to keep tightening it which defeats the purpose of walking sandals. I'm going to sew on Velcro and hope for the best.

These sandals are strictly utilitarian. The straps are big and unattractive, and the back strap flops around. The Velcro on the back of mine is located in different places on each shoe strap. They are very comfortable and supportive, and will be used all summer for dog walking and light hiking activities. For those activities these are perfect for me.

They looked great and great quality. I had to return them, just was unable tighten them up enough for me to wear.

First of all, these shoes are so incredibly comfortable! They feel like walking on marshmallows, yet they are firm enough to provide ample support. I have medium-width feet with a tailor's bunion on the side of my right foot, and I did not have any trouble with the top strap fitting too narrow. The straps are all cushioned, which is a huge advantage with these shoes. Additionally, the mid-strap DOES adjust for tightness (not sure what the first reviewer was referencing to that extent). Finally, why I gave these shoes three stars: The back strap slips off of my heel. No matter how tight I make it, the strap eventually loosens up after walking for a short while around the house, leading to the shoe slipping off my foot. I am so bummed about this, too; I really like these shoes! Alas, I have to return them.

The sandal is attractive and well made. However, the location of the Velcro buckles is very uncomfortable. I walked around the house for ten minutes and could not stand the rubbing on my skin. Sadly, I had to return,

I have worn Merrells for decades but these did not work for me. The buckle/clasp was very uncomfortable & cut into my foot no matter how I adjusted it.

the rear strap is too short; can't keep it closed; but the footbed is very comfortable

They seem comfortable in many ways but....the are just barely adjustable. I have narrow feet (but not overly so) and I can't get these fit tight enough to be safe. I worry I'll roll my ankles wearing them. Only the back strap truly adjusts. Too bad.

I need to return them! They slide off as soon as I start walking!

I wear a size 8 Narrow. Shoes are only available in a wide size medium & more. In addition the length is at least a half size larger than ordered.

I was so incredibly disappointed in these. I had to return and order the next size down and still...there is not enough velcro for these to securely fit a foot that is medium width. Never received confirmation of my return either. I'm so happy with my other Merrells
