Beyond comfortable and supportive. I'm a fat guy so there's no chance I'm ever going hiking (unless there's a pizzeria in the woods) but these shoes kick butt! Ready to purchase another pair.

Great shoe. Wore these just about daily for 2 years. Just starting to get some tread peeling. Breathable, waterproof, lightweight.

Great shoe out of the box. Very comfortable and no break-in I would definitely buy these again.

I guess it's 5 if you rate what you order. I like that they are comfortable and let me move the way i want with no constraints. I walked in snow and my feets stayed dry. But it doesn't hurt maybe making them slightly higher as they seem like they can grab water if you step in a deep puddle.

I purchased these for walking the dog in wet and snowy conditions in central New York and they have performed great. They are true to size. I know a few reviews thought they were a 1/2 size smaller than labeled, but I found them to be true to size for me. In fact, I have worn a cushioned merino wool sock with them and they fit perfect. They are definitely waterproof. I have walked through wet snow, slush and water for several 3-4 mile dog walks, and my feet were completely dry and warm. This sneaker/shoe is very light, comfortable and has good arch support. It is exactly what I was looking for and has performed very well. The sale price made them a fantastic deal. Lastly, one minor thing that could improve this sneaker/shoe even better is a little bit more cushion in the insole.

Great Fit, light weight and very stylish. I recommend these in the black color way. Can't wait to do some hard core hiking in these.

These mid height hikers are super comfortable. Originally purchased these because I liked the color (blue) and needed an everyday waterproof work shoe that could withstand the elements. These are all that and more. Extremely lightweight, fit and feel like a sneaker with superior grip and traction. Keeps your feet warm and dry. I will be purchasing this in additional colors.

These are the best Merrll's I've had yet. They fit like a glove, are light weight and feel great!

I haven't had much time to wear these yet. They're my 10th pair of Merrill's. I've actually worn two pairs completely out. But it took a couple of years. I averaged 9000-12000 steps a day in those years. All my Merrill's are comfortable and long lasting

These work great for the trails out here in the Mojave Desert. The soles grip the rock so you can be hands free for both going up or down the slick rock and boulders. They are comfortable right out of the box, no break in period at all.

Great lightweight boots - good for city walks and moderate trail hikes. Super comfortable yet good protection from the elements, and no break-in required. Great for travel as they weigh the same as a sneaker

These are a whole new level because of the GoreTex. All the trail traction you expect with Merrrell's, but the Gore Tex let's your feet breathe better. I got them for winter, but was surprised by how much of a difference they make in the summer too. Soooooo good

WOW, honestly, after reading the mixed bag of reviews, I was nervous about the Gore-Tex waterproof'ness of these bad boys, but I hiked the El Yunque rainforest on a rainy, wet day in Nov 2023...and my feet were bone dry. LOVE THEM!

I bought these for my husband in black. We went to Germany and Austria and encountered a massive amount of snow. These were almost 100% waterproof (only a very small amount right at the toe area). He said they were so comfortable though and we did a tremendous amount of walking.

Work pt fedex,8-10 hrs/wk.Female 135 lbs with square feet so mens are better. Also 4-5 mile hiit hikes with elevation north of San Francisco.Average 20+ miles/ wk. Spent 30 years in construction/inspections.These are one of the best boots I have ever worn. They are very light but I am not in trouble on a steep wet incline with gravel. I bought a back up pair. No trouble with first pair after 6 months.

Great boot! Used these on a 15 mile hike of the Fiery Gizzard in TN which has a bunch of very technical vertical climbs and miles of rock scrambles. They provided all the support needed, feet survived very well and ALWAYS felt like I had the needed traction.
