Great for hiking and daily casual! For hiking: Extra stretch fabric is great to wear and suitable for all kinds of movement. For daily casual: Trim fit and inconspicuous zippered thigh pocket, make it not look like a pair of outdoor pants.

These are my favorite pants in the rotation for summer, along with secant comps from the Veilance Line. Wear these for everything from field work to travel to nights out. They offered short inseam which was the perfect size but haven't seen any like that recently. Will snap these up in a second if that comes back.

Fantastic pants for hiking, climbing and look great in the city as well. Rugged and reliable, no abrasions or tears, they clean up perfectly in the wash every time. Design and fit is trim but not constraining in anyway, pockets placed perfectly. Extremely breathable - latest design even more so than previous design I purchased ~ 2 years ago - which I still love and wear. I also bought the Konseal shorts based on my experience with these pants

Initially was afraid of the cotton blend material after feeling it and putting it on due to the limited strechability compared to it's previous one. I use this for multipitches, trad, and sport. What I can say is I never actually found that it limits movement or what not, but I definitely noticed it's not as stretchy as the previous one. If you do the splits for example, the pants wont slide up as the previous ones did to adjust to the splits, but more that it just becomes a bit tight like jeans do. Belt buckle issue is fixed but a button, which is solid. The waist tightening adjustment strap only provides little room for adjustment, so make sure you get the right size. I find that the cotton material may probably last longer through abrasiveness. Colour looks superb, I got the orange one. All in all, I would buy another pair due to the belt buckle issue being fixed on this one.

These are great because they dry very quickly, and have a nice pocket placement on the leg which does not interfere with a climbing harness or the movement while climbing. I love the lightweight belt system and fit of the pants. I used these a lot over the last year, with no holes despite many scrapes against the rock. The fit has loosened a bit over time though. I bought a second pair.

Bought 2 pairs a month ago and have used frequently in the indoor rock gym. They have exceeded expectations, especially with the comfort/style aspect. They are very comfortable have enough stretch to not impede movement while climbing, and the built-in 'belt' is appreciated. I am 5'10" 160 lbs and the medium fits well. I suspect the medium short may be the perfect fit length wise, but they were out of stock at the time. The length of the regular medium is a touch long for me, but not to the point of being an issue. They shrink a little in the dryer on low heat, so if the fit is perfect before washing, consider air-drying. I saw previous comments about lint being an issue, I have had zero issues with this (the colors I ordered were Ladon and Tatsu). Can't comment fully on durability yet. The only place I can tell any sign of wear is the knees where there is a slight pilling, but that is to be expected given the material of the pant, and to be honest I didn't even notice until looking very closely at them to write this review.

Pants are difficult to lock down, especially ordering online. I am happy I got these pants, they fit great. The key to these pants is the adjustable waist strap that really lets you hone in on your waist size -- this feature should become standard in all pants. They feel great, have a bit of stretch, and look casual enough to walk into a bar afterwards. They don't breathe especially well but I think this will be nice in the lower fall temps - its not a high tech hiking pant so I don't expect it to breathe like one. The taper below the knee is exactly what I'm looking for, I don't like baggy clothes and this fits me well with enough room in the thighs for someone who actually eats a normal amount of calories. I'm devastated that these are out of stock - I'm hoping they restock soon so I can load up.

I bought these pants to climb this summer. I've used these on 10+ climbing days, from long multis to crag climbing. - The fit is awesome because the adjustable draw string works really well. - I've rubbed these up against different types of rock many times and haven't experienced any signs of damage whatsoever. I'd say there is a slight compromise on the breathability when you have great durability but it's worth it here. - I find the side pocket is actually really well placed when you have a harness on, it's very accessible when I want to grab my phone mid-climb. - The pants do attract dust at first, but after a bit of use and a wash, I don't get that at all any more. - They are stylish (when clean!), so I love wearing them around town.

This might be the best climbing pant I've ever owned. Great fit, looks sharp, excellent freedom of movement while climbing. Low waist profile under a harness is nice. Primarily though I appreciate the length. Nice to have a pant with a small waist but a longer inseam.

The cotton blend material feels great to wear and makes them feel like pants and not like a pant shaped tarp. They immediately became my go to pants for spring, summer, and fall. I love the rhapsody color but wish there were more color options, especially in the labyrinth color.

Nice slim fit without beeing too tight, material maybe a bit too thin for prolonged climbing but so far holds up well. I think they gonna work great for summer hikes aswell. I have to mention that the material is a dust magnet, no problem for me though. The thigh pocket is overkill for me but these pants fits me perfect so i will get another pair for sure.

Crossover style. Trim fit...almost a skinny taper. Stealthy black logo on thigh. Cotton, non techy appearance, as extra pocket is hidden well. A very professional looking pant for dressing up (if you're a dirtbag) or dressing down (if you're a Suit who's off to meet YP for a pour-over to discuss her non-profit's website). Then, you squat down in them and realize you can do Jean-Claude Van Damme suspended splits in these pants. These pants are so trim at the ankle that people are sure to notice all the effort you went to match your silly socks with the laces on whatever ridiculous shoes you wear.....hipster. Just buy the pants already. Unless you are scared to own any climbing pants that aren't baggy yellow and blue clown-wear or Arc pants that don't make you look like you just finished soloing the Fitz Roy traverse. Waist fit is standard.

I love everything about these pants except that they have started to fray and hole through at the knees but I have put them through the ringer. I boulder in them and my knees frequently contact the wall. I also wear them casually all the time because they look great. These would be a 5 star perfect product if they didn't start to hole through in the knees after about 6 months of (heavy) use.

Great pant and fit - but is a dust magnet. Also would be nice if there were at least 1-2 belt loops to attach keys as well as 2 back pockets

I like this trim fit and they perfectly fit me and the material is more comfortable than all synthetic fabric. But disappointedly this attracts dust easily. I do care about that. And the zippered pocket at the thigh is too below for me. It's hard to use. In the end I prefer Lefroy pants. Please consider changing the fabric the next version.

I like the trim fit - they look good and seem to move well. The lightweight fabric is nice but I don't think they're going to last very long - especially without reinforced stitching. Favorite features: An integrated belt/waist adjustment that actually works really well and is out of the way once adjusted. The pocket location. Just behind the thigh is THE BEST CLIMBING PANT POCKET LOCATION! Keeps things out of your way and reasonably protected (even in chimneys) but still accessible. Thank you ARC'TERYX. Maybe make it just a little bigger though so it's easier to get modern phones in/out. I'm usually a 30, 31, or 32. I went 32 in these.

If you want a pant that's specifically designed for climbing, but doesn't look too "sporty" compared to other soft-shell/synthetic models, buy these. The material isn't as stretchy as I would like, but it looks great, feels great, and holds up fairly well. The side zip pocket holds your phone perfectly under a harness, one back butt pocket is really all you need for climbing, and the minimal waist belt (and lack of unnecessary belt loops) keeps things simple and bulk-free. A little narrow in the lower leg and the material seems to shrink a bit in the wash, so maybe size up depending on your preferences.

The Pants fit well in length and waist. They are fit fitting but provide good mobility which is great because i don't care for loose fitting pants. The fabric feels thin but durable but i have yet to climb in these pants. They look stylish and i feel i could wear them around town. The waist is comfortable on the hips and i have no irritation. My only problem with these pants is that they seem to attract dust/lint.

I would really like to see these pants done as a high rise jogger style. I find I don't wear them enough because the aesthetic doesn't suit me very much in a straight leg style. Practical but not in love. I find other women I've talked to avoid this pant for the same reason

Loved the original release of these Konseal pants, the length and fit was perfect. the things I loved were the tapering from below the knees stopped excess material flapping about, and the fact that Arcteryx released it in 3 different lengths meant the short length was perfect for me. These fit completely different, seemingly a lot wider around the thighs and through the bottom of the legs which is really disappointing. They also now only come in 1 (regular) length and so rolling them up several times would mean bunching up extra weight around the ankles - not ideal or flattering. They're also not as tapered (maybe because of the length). The material has improved, the first iteration still collects so much lint from washing which is a bit of a nightmare, however these are a blend of cotton which probably adds to the looseness and lack of structure in the pant. I've returned my pair of these for these reasons, hopefully the next version of these will come in a shorter length and fit closer to the originals.

Bought a pair Konseal pants, hoping it'll be good for bouldering indoors. Pants are not flexible enough in the crotch area, which in my opinion, is a must for climbing pants. As a result, there's restriction when heel hooking or bringing my toes up to where my hands are. Returned these, and bought an extra pair of Beta LT's, which are ultra flexible and durable.

Bought these about 7 months ago. I loved them so much it was hard to ever thihnk about wearing a diffrent pair of pants. I bought another pair because i lvoed them. I could wear them out in the city and look professional and wear them climbing and functioned great. Although my pants ripped in the leg and to this day I dont know how it happened. i wore them maybe 5 times bouldering and the rest in the city doing errands. the pants are great but it made me concern after they ripped as i thought these were designed for climbing and they ripped after a few uses. Great pants But i wonder about the material.

I'd like to see this offered in a slightly heavier fabric but still cotton and nylon. Sized for short (they offer reg and tall so why not short?)
