I love my torrents from 3 years ago. Last year I bought a new torrent and was disappointed with them.

The left shoe does not fit very well. I believe there is a defect in the way the left shoe was made as my left foot seems to be leaning over the instep side of the show and my heal does fit comfortably into the back of the shoe. Admittedly the right shoe fits very well. My right foot sits balanced in the shoe and my heal fits comfortably. I have worn the shoe for about a month hoping that it or I would adapt, but so far no luck.

These shoes gave me a lot of support- however started having minor issues from the start. The yellow rubber on the sole started falling away within the first week - but I ignored it because I needed something comfortable and didn’t want to deal with exchanging. Granted it has been five months, the the outer mesh fabric has started to pull away now as well and the cushion is definitely losing its effect. I expected a lot more use out of $160 shoes.

Love the sneakers. HATE the lacing system. This is my 5th pair of Haks. All the others (Rincon, etc) have 'normal' lacing systems that worked just fine, thank you. These Gaviotas have an uneccessarily complex lacing system. The laces were uneven. It must have taken me 30 minutes to even them out. I wound up unlacing both shoes entirely and then relacing them in a simpler way. I don't know what your engineers were thinking, but they were too clever by half. Was there a problem with the older 'normal' system?

The Gaviota 2 had a wider sole under the midfoot and forefoot of the shoe for more support...Also the Gaviota 3's seem too bouncy and less stable than the Gaviota 2's...I also wish the collars around the sides of the ankles would be higher they seem kind of low for a shoe...Please bring back the Gaviota 2 sole design on the next version

The shoes look great. The orange bottom tread is not properly attached to the show and keeps peeling back. This causes the shoe to get caught on the surface making me feel like I'm going to trip. The problem is on the left and right shoe in multiple spots along the edges

the fabric seems cheaper, the way you lace up the shoes is different and not as comfortable, overall the feel is even different. I don't understand why companies always have to try to make something that works better. I have purchased many pairs of the 1 and 2. sorry to have purchased a 3. now I need to find a different shoe.

My Gaviota 2s were great. I'm a nurse and I am on my feet 12 hours a day. The Gaviota 3s seemed to start falling apart as soon as I got them. Also I buy the wides and these were the skinniest wides I ever have worn. I definitely would not buy these again. The worst Hokas I have ever had. My feet hurt every day. I only wear them because I spent so much money on them.

I was disappointed in the Gaviota 3 after having been extremely satisfied with the Gaviota 2. It felt nothing like the 2. I would not purchase it again.

The upper portion of the shoe does not breathe; the shoe is too hot.

Was happy with the shoe until I realized the treads were coming off. I would have just got another pair but they wouldn't send me a new pair until they receive the old pair. Didn't want to go without waiting on the new pair.

I got the gaviota 2's a year ago and loved them, still sometimes wear them. However they are starting to go flat. So I needed to buy a new pair and figured since the 2's are no longer sold on the style I like I would upgrade to the 3's. I don't know If I got a faulty pair but my right shoe at the tip, the mesh isn't uniform and pinches into my toe whenever I walk in it. And my left shoe, the bottom of the shoes are starting to peel off and it's on the front so when I walk it scrapes the ground and fold back and I almost trip sometimes. Sizing is good though and a comfy shoe overall. But for the price you pay for Hokas you wouldn't expect these kind of problems

I bought wide and was no wider than regular shoe. I would try other Hoka Shies because I like the cushion.

More cushion but less stability. The shoe doesn't form for your foot at all. Vs 2 was much better. I returned vs 3

Ordered several models, but all the 2E sizes were very tight with little room in the toe box. Otherwise a well-made shoe. I have 15 2E feet, and the Hoka 2E is actually closer to a D or E width. Ended up buying Brooks -- same price, lots of toe room and width. I power-walk 2-3 miles a day including a stint in hilly woods.

Gaviota 2 was the ultimate walking shoe with a nice wide base for stability. Gaviota 3, is a bust, narrow base, narrow toe box, even in the wide. I thought I had finally found the perfect shoe in the Gaviota 2 and you ruined it, why?? I did keep it and will try it out cause I don't have another choice but I am so disappointed.

I love the Hoka brand, but I am not satisfy with the Gaviota 3. The heel of this shoe is to hard! My Gaviota 2 are much more comfortable which gives me the feeling that I am walking over the earth, but not my Gaviota 3. I am disappoint in this product.

I have worn only hokas the last 6 years and this was my latest purchase. There was a cosmetic defect when I received these shoes. The fabric on one side was not taut but hanging looser thus showing a couple of folds that should not be there (this was true of only one shoe so I know it's not intended). After the long wait for the shoe release (I'd pre ordered) this is disappointing and has resulted in so much wasted time. Cust service said they'd email a return label but failed to do so (I guess can generate one online). I expected hula to keep its high quality standards- this shakes my confidence
