I’m amending my previous review - LOVE these shoes!!
When I got them yesterday they felt too snug, not sure if I was going to keep them. I just went for a 2 mile walk with my flat feet and plantar fasciitis and MY FEET DIDN’T HURT. The lightweight mesh upper is kind of stretchy, so they aren’t too tight anymore. No arch pain, no heel pain, very comfortable shoes :) Men’s 7M is a good size for women’s 8.5D.

Love these shoes! I have nearly flat feet, low arches. I literally ordered about 6 different pairs of Hoka One Ones until I found just the right fit. I have never considered myself to have wide feet but what I realized is that I needed more width in the arch area because my foot would hang over the edge or lip in the instep. So I took a chance and ordered these in wide. Wow! Perfect fit. I’m buying another pair today. The support on my arch has taken away that pain on the outside of my foot from my muscles/tendons being pulled from lack of support. Great shoe for pronators. Stable and plush.
I'd also recommend:

I have only taken these shoes out for a couple of runs so far, but I like them a lot. They are lighter than a traditional supportive shoe, and you barely notice the support features (but my knees and ankles appreciate it). It fits very well for my wide foot, though it is a touch longer than the usual 9EE that I wear. If you are between sizes, and don't need the extra width, sizing half a size down may not be a bad idea. Overall, I am very pleased.

Been running for some time now & I usually purchase Nike or New Balance. My friend recommended Hoka shoes for running. He swore by them. I have to admit, I am really impressed with the shoes. The shoes fit great & I feel comfortable running in these shoes & will purchase more in the future.

I've been running on and off for a few years, primarily as a means of weight loss. As an over weight, flat footed runner I've had a lot of trouble in the past finding shoes that not only fit right but were wide enough, provided over pronation support AND offered enough padding to reduce injury risk. I've found several pairs that have come close but I decided to try the Arahi's after some research. I was surprised to find that they fit my foot perfectly, this has never really happened before, there has always been some kind of pinch point in the arch or toe box but these fit great. after a few miles I learned that these do, in fact, provide amazing stability but also an absolute ton of cushion. The most interesting discovery was how much energy return you get despite the soft cushiony feel. Overall, I am very happy with these shoes and would recommend them to any of my fellow heavyset runners!

A purchase is based on a recommendation for athletic shoes for people with high arches. I was impressed with the style and the initial fit. However after about a week or two I noticed that every time I was up to a mile to mile and a half my feet start hurting really bad I like a burning feeling in the balls of my feet. I switched back to my three-year-old new balances and had no similar pain whatsoever I tried several times more different socks to no avail you're basically unusable for anything over 2 miles. I'm not sure why I don't know if there's too much foam or they're just not right for my feet.

Having 100% flat feet with zero arch, finding the right shoe that would enable me walk long distances and run was a hard task. Being very active and into fitness big time, I could never walk or run without having pain that forced me to do activities for cardio that I did not like. I tried every product on the market - stability shoes, pronation roller shoes, flat feet shoes, podiatrist approved......nothing worked. Finally i chanced upon an article on the web for flat feet runners that led me to try HOKA. From the minute i wore the stability HOKA Arahi 5 shoes - i felt the difference. Day 1 i could run for 2 miles with zero pain. I am almost a month in and am totally in love with the feather weight and super stable shoes that are like a miracle for flat feet. Love it and from now on will only use HOKA. Thanks HOKA team - amazing job!!!!

I bought these for my husband for Valentine's Day. He thinks they are great. He has been wearing Adidas Ultaboost for years. He said the Hoka feels more bouncy. We put around 20 walking miles on our shoes a week. We will have to see how these hold up. I think he will use these for more than just our walks. Very comfortable. Felt true to size.

Like the shoe but part of the sole is already coming off of the left shoe.

Just got my first pair of Hoka One One’s. I tried on the Arahi 5’s (12 Wide) in store to compare them to my Kyano-27’s (12 Reg) and to me there was a noticeable difference in not only the width, which I knew there should, but also the feel from the padding. Enough of a noticeable difference for me to spend the money on pair although my Kayano‘s were like new, only a few months old with very light usage. The Arahi 5’s added more cushioning to the step with a little more spring which I favor. I also have a pair of custom orthotics from Roadrunner Sports which fit very well. So far so great!

The first thing I noticed when I put them on was how much cushion there was. It felt like I was walking on pillows. I have bad knees so this was a great surprise. And the motion control has been helping keep my feet from rolling in. I also have bunions and went with my normal size but Wide, and it was true to size. Overall very pleased as a first time customer.

I've never been able to find a running/walking/athletic shoe that supports my flat feet and weak ankles. I've tried all the brands, and used Nike religiously for 12 years. Nike just wasn't doing it for me anymore, so I did *tons* of research and tried these out. It's been a week and my feet haven't been sore AT ALL. I've walked over a mile each day and I've never been uncomfortable in these! Hoka wearer for life!
For reference, I'm a size 8.5-9 in most shoes, I ordered a 9 and they fit perfect.

I am training for a new job opportunity. I have to pass a physical training test to be considered for the position. I'm a big guy, 300+, and needed new shoes that could support me. These shoes are super comfortable and supportive. The only issue is that the elastic bands that attach to the tongue are starting to fray. I hope that won't diminish the comfort and support

I'm a big guy and I started walking around 5 miles a day and was looking for a shoe that would hold up. I think I found them. It's been a few months and about 300 miles and they are still holding up. Very happy and looking forward to the next purchase.

Two years ago I was a Newton shoe runner. Several friends were switching to HOKA, it took me a while, and finally tried the Clifton. I now have the Clifton 7, Gaviota 2, Rincon 2, Bondi 6, SpeedGoat 4, and the ATR. The ARAHI is (to me) a blend between the Gaviota 2 and Rincon 2. ARAHI is low up font like the Rincon. The stability is not quite as much as the Gaviota 2, but enough to keep my foot square on long runs. My 1st ARAHI run was a 13.1 mile training run with hills, and felt fantastic! My go-to HOKA depends on my level of fatigue, and running plan for the day. Bondi for high level of fatigue and shorter runs, plus walking. Feeling fresh running flat roads, its the Rincon, and feeling fresh on hills and varying pavement, its the ARAHI. Fatigued off the bike for 6-10 miles, the Gaviota 2 or Clifton. Feeling great for the Ironman, its Rincon or ARAHI. Feeling just OK for an Ironman, its Cliftons. Not a good day Ironman or marathon, the Gaviota 2. I'm not a big trail runner, but when I do, the ATR's is my favorite because they work on roads, hard pack, and light mud. SpeedGoats are best for mud & hard pack, not so good on roads. It's important to me to continuously mix up the shoes for each run. Seems like my running shoe preference changes every 6-months to a year. I do know, that it's important for me not run on any shoe past 3 months, and I typically average between 20-30 mikes a week. Three month old shoes may seem OK, but it's not worth the risk of injury, added fatigue, or loss of form. In short, the ARAHI is a winner for me! Happy Running! (and biking/swimming)

Not sure if I like these yet.
I usually wear a women’s 8.5 wide, so a men’s 7 medium was suggested. They are definitely not as wide as I was hoping, they are a little snug, but I’ll try them for a few days and see how they feel. On the left is women’s 8.5D, right is men’s 7M.
I love Zappos for their shipping and returns :)

My dad had told me about HOK. I was skeptical at first, after wearing these and walking around in them for a day I LOVE THEM. I was a adidas/NB guy for a long time because I am a big dude with size 14 W/XW feet. I wish I had these during my football training days.

The Arahi 5 fixed a major issue for me - the toe box. My foot feels supported, secure, and stable in this update...already put 30 miles on the shoes this week and absolutely love it!

I wear my Arahi 5 shoes when dressed casual. The first thing that stands out is the lightweight, well-constructed assembly. They are comfortable with just the right combination of stability and cushion. The engineered breathability is also quite nice The shoes look great in the dark blue version -- don't let the funky color names throw you. These are pure class that will promote foot comfort . . . and if you want the VIBRANT colors, you can find a pair to your liking!

I walk every morning and strictly wear Gaviotas. I've had Arahi 1 and 2, but when I tried the 4 last year at a running store but they were less comfortable. I ordered the new 5 and tried them out yesterday. They are very stable and comfortable. Definite keepers. As always I order 12 1/2 in Hoka, although I always wore 12s in other sport shoes, so a half size up.
