These shoes are nice but they are not as cushioned as the other Hokas I've bought. I definitely do not recommend them if you have a job in which you are on your feet all day. I'm still deciding whether to keep them. They don't give me that walking in air experience I'm used to with Hoka

I bought the Challenger ATR 6 Gore-tex to replace my Speedgoat 3 Gore-tex. My Speedgoats were a a dream to wear right out of the box, and I waited way too long to replace them because I loved them so. Not so with the Challenger ATR. I gave them a good week of testing, but they are boxed up and ready for a return. On the plus side, the toe box feels roomier than HOKAs often do, and my feet stayed dry on a super rainy run. But, the tongue digs in to the top of my foot no matter how I lace the shoes, to the point that I cut my trail runs short. I'm replacing with another pair of Speedgoats, and hoping the tongue design hasn't changed on this model!

I have been struggling with sore feet in a job where I'm on my feet for six hours at a stretch. These are the first shoes I have found that truly have room for toes. What a blessing. I have the Clifton 7 in rose for most of the year, and I just got the beautiful gore-tex shoes for winter - dry feet, warm feet - thank you so much! These shoes FIT and have room for my toes and my feet are thriving.

I love these shoes!! I use them for hiking and running. I love the black/blue together and get compliments on them all the time. My first time wearing them i broke them in with a 9 mile hike and no blisters!

This is my very first pair of Hokas. I live in Hawaii and wanted a pair of running shoes I can use for road running, trail running, and hiking. These are AMAZING, I didn't have to break them in. I've been using them for about 2 weeks now and I can attest that it has great cushion and support in all the right places. I have a wider forefoot and they fit great! I haven't tried them on wet hikes so I can really say if they kept my feet dry so I'll update on that. I would definitely buy them again.

Ordedr half size smaller as the other HOKA shoes tend to run large. Much better fit and very pleased with the shoe.

This is an updated review for my ChallengerATR 6 Gortex shoes that have been replaced by Zappos due to a defect in my last pair. My last review commented that I liked everything about them except that their was a bump that bothered me located where the tongue seam meets the shoe
on the left side of my right foot. Apparantly this was a one off defect because the replacement pair doesn't have this problem which makes me very happy. Now the shoes are super comfy!

If you’re on the fence, PLEASE let this review sway you. I live in the Caribbean and hike 8-10 miles 5 days a week in the mountains. I have torn my feet up wearing my long trusted brooks and Pegasus trails and finally decided to try the Hokas. I wore them 12 miles straight out of the box and have never felt so much comfort on the mixed terrain. My ankles were not ripped to shreds and my toes had a ton of room to breath. It rains random 1-5 minute showers here regularly and the GT stood true to its design and kept my feet dry. Seriously, but these shoes!

I had to return them. l loved the look and feel but they were too narrow and too short. sadly you don’t offer an 11.5 wide.

This is the most comfortable GTX shoe I have ever worn! I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis and my foot felt better in this shoe than it has in weeks. Almost no pain when yesterday I was in tears in a different brand. It provided the right amount of warmth and tread on a cold slick day.

The shoe seem to big. I usually wear a 9.5 but theses seem big. Also the sole under the ball of my left foot is coming off.

This style of Hoka is different from anything of theirs that I’ve worn. Uncomfortable to the point that it hurt my feet. No cushion at all.

Great sneakers overall. I like that they are waterproof and very lightweight. The color is very cheerful. So far I enjoyed walking in them. I wear them daily for walks around town.

These shoes are amazing right out of the box. Comfortable without any break in needed. Did order a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear.

Shoes are comfortable and warm. Have not tested in damp/wet conditions yet. They are stiffer than my Hoka Goats, but still provided good cushioning while walking. Although many say size down, I ended up sizing up 1/2. My other Hokas are a size 8, but my toes were cramped in the Challenger. Sizing up a 1/2 worked.

Love this shoe, no squeaks with custom orthotics. Lots of cushion but very stable. Love the color too!

Oh how I love Hoka One shoes. They fit perfectly. Very light weight. Excellent cushion and support right where I want it. These are going on a trip to Iceland with me for light hiking. I bought them for their waterproof design, but it's for much more than that. I wear them daily now on my walks/runs. Keep doing what you're doing Hoka!

I bought the hiking shoe to wear on wet and dry trails when I walk the dog. I like them very much--so comfortable and supportive. I wanted something lighter though and discovered these. They are waterproof and have enough support and cushion to get me through the rougher spots on the trail. These are my favorites for early morning dog walking. No wet feet and trail ready. Love them.

Supportive shoe used by my mother as an everyday shoe that is water resistant and great for walking and everyday shoe for work. My mother wanted a second pair after I purchased a waterproof high top Toa hoka last year. My mother does not run but wanted a low top alternative sneaker she could use everyday or on the go. This is an overall comfortable walking/moving around shoe, she finds them great and the added water resistant element makes them a great overall low top sneaker. Only wish they were completely waterproof.

Had heard good feedback about this brand. I run or walk daily, approx 4 miles. Bought this model for its waterproof function, but they are so comfortable I am using them even when it's not wet outside. Started with larger size to accommodate a bunion, but found that was unnecessary because the toe box was wide enough.

I bought the Challenger shoe. If you have arthritis in your big toe, this shoe enables you to keep running and walking instead of limping.

Since discovering Hoka running shoes a few year ago I now use Hoka's for all my runs. The ATR6 Fire-Tex is a great all terrain shoe for messier weather. It works for pavement, trail, dry, wet, dusty, snowy and muddy conditions. I love Hoka running shoes for their comfort and cushion and use them as my primary running shoe for every day running-no matter where it takes me!
