The Sierra is such a great concept, but I feel it was poorly executed. Such a disappointment. I ordered directly from Birkenstock because Zappos was out of stock in my size. I have Arizonas in a 40 narrow that fit my usual 9.5-10 narrow foot perfectly, so that is the size I ordered in this shoe. The sizing is completely off (see photo) with the Sierra being much longer and wider (especially in the heel area). The footbed doesn't have the same depth of contouring and support as my Arizonas. I liked the thinner straps, and the more flexible feel. I also liked the thought of the more rugged outsole, but can confirm what the other reviews have mentioned...they are Very squeaky and noisy. I returned them. If they put a quieter version of the outsole on the footbed of the Arizona, I think they'd have a hit.

The soles squeak when walking on the wood floors inside. I hope that with some wear outside the squeaking will subside. If you need to sneak around quietly inside, these are not your shoes.

This particular style is the best for a narrow foot! I tried other “narrow” Birkies, they were way too wide and clunky for my skinny feet. If you have narrow feet, buy these, they fit great.

These sandals are perfection! I had to order mine from a different website since Zappos was out of my size, but I'm so glad I did. I'm a hardcore fan of Arizona, the only sandals I wear. The arch support that Birkenstock gives is a must for me. I tried imitation brands with no success, and I always return to this brand, even though their shoes are expensive. My only issue with regular Arizona is the too thin rubber layer on the sole, which is partially gone after only 2 months of wearing them. It's a real bummer when it happens to your $130 pair of sandals. Repair is not cheap, either. So I wished for a more sturdy outer sole and that's when I came across Sierra CT. It is perfection. A few other reviewers mentioned that these run a bit big, which is true. These sandals are slightly longer and they have a rounder, wider toe box, which in my case is just what I needed for the perfect fit. The arch support is exactly the same as any regular Birkenstock's, the sturdier sole did not compromise comfort. The Sierra is very similar in style to Arizona with slightly narrower straps, and I really like it. The leather is strong and soft at the same time. If you are on the fence, go for it. If you are in between sizes you probably can pull it off with the smaller one.

These are going back. I will keep wearing my old Arizonas, and shop for new Mayaris instead. The leather on these is very stiff and uncomfortable. And, although the new sole is appealing, I find the original quieter and more comfortable. It's just hard to improve on the originals!!

As was stated in other reviews this sandal runs a bit longer than the usual 38N that I wear. Guessing about 1/4" longer. 37N would have been too short so I'm happy with the length. I have the sandals buckled on the second hole so this will work for me until they stretch a bit and will then buckle them as tight as they can go. Wishing Birkenstock made one more hole for narrow feet. As usual I love the arch support. Hoping the more active bottom will hold up well to all the walking I do! I've worn them in the house and have not had any squeaking or other noise. Hoping it stays that way!

These shoes feel terrific, of course...they're Birkenstocks. They did feel just slightly larger than previous Birks but I have worn them in a while so maybe they're closer than I remember. This style is much cuter than the standard Arizona style. I love the rugged outer sole. The quality is outstanding.

I have work Birkenstocks for years, always a size 39. These are definitely longer heel-to-toe than my Arizonas. Not sure if I could go down a full size, but if you’re between sizes, l’d go smaller.

BIG ISSUE: first time ever to receive a mangled package from zappos. This larger than usual birkenstock box was placed in a big plastic bag [like some of the discount sellers on ebay] and shipped UPS ground. Guess what? the box was unglued, open and damaged. I will be sending them back, taping the sides of the box AND sending back in a proper box. Shame on zappos shipping. Not an inexpensive shoe, although I also didn't care for the fit, not a birkenstock fit, not an outdoor hiking fit. I was curious, now my curiosity is satisfied.

I am 100% happy with my new Sierra Birkenstock's. They fit perfectly and the toe section is a smidge wider than I expected, so lots of comfy room for my toes to breath. They are extremely comfortable and supportive. And as someone with larger feet (size 41), I really appreciate the more flattering Sierra strap and sole styling. Please add more colors so I can buy them all!!

I so wanted to keep this sandal except for the fact that it’s the regular footbed, not the Soft Footbed. The sole for added traction is great; the placement of the straps is perfect; the color and construction are first rate. I would order this sandal again if offered with the Soft Footbed.

I always wear a 37 in Birkenstocks and these were no exception. They fit perfectly!! They also look very expensive because the leather is so nice.

Love these shoes. I have the same ones in white. I have really wide feet and they do not give me blisters like the 2 strap sandals and I can wear them for miles straight out of the box.

They were comfortable from the moment I put them on. Unlike the cork sole Birks, these fit better for me. I have done a lot of walking through Red Rocks and surrounding areas. I have arthritis in my feet from standing at my job for many years and these feel good on my feet.

I always wear a size 40, but these were much longer when compared with the length of my other Birkenstocks. I reordered them in a size 39 and they seem to fit better. I like the color and the slimmer straps.

Perfect - my only wish is that it came in other colors. If you have a narrow, small foot, then this is the one for you. I am a size 61/2 and usually wear 36, but sometimes in a narrow I go up a size. So at first I ordered a 37 and returned it for being too long. The 36 fits perfectly, and, although I usually like a soft sole, this one doesn’t bother me at all. With a little foot, the narrow straps look better than the Arizona.

Love these sandals! They may feel a little strange at first because the fit feels more like a Birki. A little wider with less aggressive arch. The soles provide better shock and that makes a better walking experience.

I bought a 9N. I usually wear a 9.5N in sandals. For reference, Clark’s in a 9.5N fit me well IF they are adjustable. I have really narrow feet (4A in dress shoes). I won’t even go into the whole they don’t make shoes for my feet spill. ? If you wear my size you already know that. These were just a little too wide for me on the smallest notch. As far as style I thought they were good looking shoes, just as pictured. I have really pale skin and I think a darker color would have looker better on me. I bought the tobacco brown. The sole was really stiff. I’m not sure they would have become more flexible after broke in a little. Other birks have a molded sole so these wouldn’t be much different. I expected them to be more flexible.

These are cute looking shoes, but very uncomfortable and I can't wear them for long. The arch support seems to be off center and same goes for straps. They fall off your feet if not strapped tight enough, but fall off if loosened up. They seem to be very wide even though I go the regular width

For a narrow Birkenstock this sandal did not have enough holes the the arch strap to keep this sandal on my foot. totally bummed. Back it goes.

Not a true narrow! The narrow Birkenstocks are not truly narrow, just narrower than their medium width. I keep hoping that one of these days Birkenstock will make at least one style for narrow feet. I really need a good, supportive sandal. Every time I read a review that says the style works for folks with a narrow foot, I try it. Hope springs eternal! But these do not come close to fitting. Nor do the mayari or the gizeh or any other style I've tried, despite the positive reviews by a few people who say that it works in narrow for them. Thanks, Zappos, for allowing me to keep trying. I keep thinking that someday you're going to notice how few shoes I can actually wear and cut me off. I'm glad that hasn't happened...yet.

I have always wanted a pair of these but usually too wide for me. These came in narrow and had the arch support. They fit and they look good too!

I loved these Birkenstocks, and they were perfect in length and width. However, I have a bunion on my right foot and no matter how I adjusted the straps, I could not walk comfortably. So, very regretfully, I had to return them.

I loved these. Walked around the house on tile floors and didn't notice any unwanted noises. I wish I could have kept them, but I have hammer toes and the edge of the front strap hits the top of my toes which really irritated them. That's not the shoes fault tho. They were pretty comfortable right out of the box and I liked there were no toe dividers. Just wish they had worked for my feet.

My feet like these shoes. Birkenstock's footbed is exceptional.
