I bought these as light hikers, not trail runners, and took them on a couple of long hikes this week. They are very good looking IMO - sleek, good color. They fit a little stiff on the foot - esp in the heel (stiff heel cup) and around the ankle - but I had no hotspots after 16 miles (across the 2 hikes) without really breaking them in. They had good grip on roots and rocks and felt stable underfoot. I usually wear 7.5-8, but tried these on in a store before buying from Zappos, and found that 8.5 was the right size with a hiking sock. It's a sock-style insert, so it's a little extra work to get them on and off. Laces stayed tied without double knotting, and it was easy to adjust the tightness across the foot.

These shoes are amazing. Be warned though, order 1/2 size larger. I have narrow feet. I ordered my regular size 6 1/2. I had to return them for a size 7. I have NEVER worn a size 7! On cloud usually runs true to size, I have several pairs. Not so with these shoes, not even if you have narrow feet! If you have wide feet, these probably will not work for you. The style & support on these shoes are top of the line. The most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I’m obsessed!

I have never had a pair of shoes that hurt my feet so immediately. No heel support at all. Soft back makes it easy for on/off but so uncomfortable. I didn’t even get to run. Just standing on my feet in my house was painful. I typically do not have any foot problems.

Normally in running shoes go up a 1/2 size. After reading reviews I went up an additional 1/2 sized and they fit. Work well for hikes and trail runs.

These shoes are truly like walking on clouds. Super comfortable on the inside, and super fashionable on the outside. I give them a rating of 5 all around. Perhaps they could be easier to put on - but that may just be my issue and doesn’t take away from my ratings of this shoe at all. Highly recommend! Also, the lavender color is so pretty and goes with everything!

Definitely more bulky on the bottom that most On shoes that I own (have about 10 pair), however they are light weight! These are snug around the top portion where the shoe hits the ankle (there is like a tight sock-like area underneath where you tie the shoe) which is important to know for the fit. I do like that there is no moving tongue of the shoe so it stays in place well with all workouts.

These were way too narrow and too small. I wear a regular size 10 in Hoka, Nike, Adidas, Sorel.

Definitely a minimalist shoe. Foot felt too bound and was digging in at the top. No arch support or heel cushion.

I had to order these in 1/2 size larger to fit my feet-which is recommended by ON. These are the only ON's that feel comfortable to me. They have sufficient padding in the forefoot which many of the other styles do not. They have a lower heel to toe drop which makes for a more natural gait. They hug your feet and you can wear them all day and feel comfortable. Bit pricey, but I will pay it for the comfort and wear. I have had mine for 2 years and they still look good with no break down anywhere.

I’d like to preface my review by saying that I understand everyone’s feet/arches are different and not all shoes work for all individuals. That said, these shoes are absolutely amazing on my feet. I walk/run 2.5-3 miles every day and for the longest time I struggled to find a shoe that could keep up. Enter the On Cloudultra. I bought my first pair in April 2022 - after wearing them DAILY, racking up roughly 17 miles a week, they did not give out (one hole developed in the bottom of the shoe where my big toe is) until June 2023. I ran those babies into the ground. Somehow they still have a decent bit of tread and I’m able to wear them as “yard work” shoes. 14 months worth of excessive wear and tear - that in itself deserves five stars. For me, the fit was just right and I especially liked that the back of the shoe near the Achilles is not made of plastic or hard material that pops out and causes blisters over time. There is little to no adjustment period for these shoes either. Highly recommend!

Love this shoe, exchanged for 1/2 size up. The aqua color is super cute too. Tough decision between 2 different On shoes (this one and Cloudventure) but ultimately the color put this shoe as the winner

I have tried several styles of On shoes and have loved them all….. but these are definitely my favorite!!! They are lightweight, but feel very supportive. I like the tread on the bottom better than most of the other styles.

Love the feel. So light and comfortable. One of the prettier colors that ON offers.

This is my first pair of On shoes (Cloudultra) and will definitely not be my last. Hands down, the best-fitting, best-feeling shoes I’ve worn. And the design is beautiful! I’m an On evangelist!

On shoes require buyer to buy a full size larger. Also the cloud ultras are difficult to put on if you have a high arched foot. Love their comfort and durability though

These shoes are a quandary! BEST support I've ever had in a shoe. But the fit has become SO erratic! I've ordered many varieties of this brand and they run small with a narrow toe box in general. Sometimes left foot, sometimes right foot. The back of heel rubs. I might have to give up on them soon if they don't get back to consistent sizing and attention to detail.

There is a seam on the heel where the two materials meet that feels like it would dig Into my heel and rub a blister for sure. I tried two sizes. I offered a 9, a size up like recommended. It was too big. I tried my regular size for running shoes 8 1/2 (which is a half size bigger than what I wear in regular shoes) and it too felt a little big. I did not run in them because of the way the seam felt, I knew I would be returning them. I am very picky when it comes to running shoes and it is hard to find one that is comfortable and doesn’t rub blisters on my feet. These I am having to send back. ? The search is still on.

the toe line is odd and I trip going down stairs Just off ... My previous ONs were much better.

I’ve worn On shoes for years. In most shoes, I’m 8-8.5. Always 8.5 in On. I ordered a 9 after reading reviews and my toe is hitting the end of the shoe. My old 8.5s are bigger. The insoles are less cushiony, too.

I love the look of this shoe. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to put on and it rubs my heel once I get it on. My other Ons are super comfortable, I wear them for long shifts working as a nurse. I'm going to exchange for a different design of Ons.

I really wanted to like these but don't like the built-in sock that they had. They were super comfy right when I put them on and were comfy to walk in, but I sat down in them for a few minutes and the built-on sock got real tight around my foot. It almost cut off circulation to my feet. I'm not sure if you're supposed to wear them without socks? Or with full socks? I have very narrow ankles and was wearing ankle socks, but these would not be comfy if you had to sit in them for a long time. I was getting these for a trip where we'd be driving a bunch and I don't think they'd be comfy after a while. Maybe they'd stretch out? Bummer because they seemed like great hiking/trail shoes.

I was hopeful but not cushiony at all ? ordered 1/2 size up based on reviews - they were right.
