I rarely write reviews, but his shoe is so comfortable, and supportive, I just had to give a shout out. It feels, literally, like I am walking on a “supportive cloud.” It's not mushy, or sloppy feel, but just perfect. I know this is a lousy description, but I could not be happier with this shoe. Especially for the cost. “Try it, you’ll like it ! "

Fit and size are perfect. Very comfortable for walking.

Been buying Asics for my son for years. They are always a good fit, good value. Just have to get his foot to stop growing!!

Used to wear new balance shoes that I bought from Big 5 on sale. Maybe got a glance or two from the divorcee soccer moms. Now with my ASICS Gel Excites, what a difference. These “excite” (no pun intended) the minivan driving, single mother of threes that I see shopping at FoodMaxx. Sometimes I see a bead of sweat on their freshly waxed upper lip when I walk by on my ASICS. I bought grey…next time I’m getting red to coincide with my new bad boy personality!

Comfy

Comfy and I could wear them immediately. The cushion in the heel is great

These shoes seem true to size length wise. I find them a little snug in width, but not overly so, and I think running shoes need to be a little snug. After a few days of break in they feel perfect. I don't feel like I'm walking on air, but my feet do feel good enough that I don't notice them, so that's good.

The fit was true both length and width. I don't really feel much arch support. I did have to loosen the laces quite a bit because my instep became uncomfortable. The shoes look great and are quite stylish.

I was looking for a moderately priced show for walking/running and am pleased with this shoe - so much that I purchased a second pair. The fit is perfect and they are the most comfortable shoes I have had.

More narrow than previous Asics running shoes

Holy crap, "wide" shoes that actually fit! I measure 9 3E on the brannock with a low instep but normal arch (i.e. not flat footed) and I was shocked at how well the 9.5 4E worked. I actually had enough room to spread my toes AND the heel slippage was minimal. If you're someone with very wide but otherwise normal feet, I recommend giving these a shot. In terms of comfort, I'd say these are pretty solid. I'm not a fan of the Ortholite liner's they're putting in every shoe as I find they aren't very breathable and heat up the shoe. That's the case here, but it doesn't get as hot as Asic's other offerings and is probably tolerable during a walk. These give some arch support which I'm also not a fan of, but that's just me.

Not what I was looking for. These felt soft like a walking shoe. I loved the older versions that had a full rubber sole. More multi use. These are priced well.
