I purchased the coffee/yellow "monkey" Contend 7 for my son. His private school requires that the soles be light colored and he's not allowed loud color kicks. These are there the perfect fun pair of sneakers that stay within the dress code. He Thinks the bananas on the side are fun and he's able to put them on all by himself. He has flat feet and complains about his feet hurting after a while but he hasn't complained once since I got him these. I wish they ASICS made more sneakers in these colors.

My 6 yr old loves these shoes! Comfortable as asics always are! Pictures on the soles helps him put shoes on the right feet. Super cute shark design!

Our 4-yr old son loves these shoes. This is at least the third pair of shoes we have purchased in the Contend series. They fit well and seem to weather the abuse of an active toddler. He always outgrows his old pair before the shoe falls apart (granted, there isn't much tread left on the sole when he is done). We also love the new kid-centric designs. He was so excited to wear his "shark shoes"!

My daughter who has a super flat foot absolutely loves these shoes. The arch support is awesome and they're cute! Double win!

I wish the Velcro strap was a tad bit longer & that the insole could be removed b/c my daughter wears Orthodic inserts. Otherwise great sneaker!

Cute and so far very durable. My daughter is very pleased with them and is not tripping very often which is big for her.

Great fit for narrow feet! Easy for toddler to put on and Velcro stays attached even during very active play. Does stain easily though.

These run small- had to size up for both kids. They are super cute and seem comfortable

Shoes for kids should be more flexible. Being able to bend in both direction This shoes I was able to bend only in one direction.

They don't stay closed with normal walking. Cute shoe, poor design.
