Absolutely love these shorts. I?m a boxer brief guy, so I really like the feel of them. They?re super light, the inseam is a perfect length, and they store tons! I can fit my iPhone in the zipper pocket, and 3-4 gels in the other pockets around the waist without issue. I hope they last.

Love these! I've used them for a handful of runs so far and my phone fits perfectly in the zipper pocket and if I need to bring gels I can store them in the other elastic pockets. The only thing I would change would be to maybe add one additional small zipper pocket for keys as I get super nervous with just the loop

These shorts have quickly become my go-to for everything from 5K to Marathon distance and everything in between. I especially like the 2 in 1 design and don't experience any chafing which is a common occurrence with other shorts with liners. It's also nice to have the inner liner when you're sitting down since the shorts are on the shorter side. They fit best after a first wash/use - at first the waist feels like it is going to be too large but the draw string does a good job of comfortably tightening. I would (and have) buy these again especially if they continue to come in new, fun colors!

Disclaimer that I am a brooks employee. These shorts are my favorite. I love the pocket big enough to hold your phone and the spandex liner keeps it in place. You can never have too many pockets!

Great design, material, fit. Waist never needs moves, needs adjustment. Plenty of pockets for food, handkerchief, headband, etc. Side pocket holds my iPhone 7+. Very helpful while riding bicycle. Highly recommended.

These are perfect running shorts for the streets and the trails. Lots of pockets for your fav fuel and a large pocket for your phone? Happy Running!

Best running shorts I?ve ever had. Love the boxer brief style liners. I find the brief liners ones are uncomfy for any run greater than a 5K but these are super comfy and feels like your wearing nothing. Highly recommend. The phone pocket is super secure. Gel pockets are great addition.

Functional comfortable shorts. My go-to for runs of any distance.

I have Nike and Nathan shorts, but these are now the only shorts I use unless all 3 pair are dirty. The zip up side pocket is absolutely perfect for my phone, since I constantly listen to podcasts or music while running or working out. The elasticized pouches along the sides and rear are perfect for holding all kinds of random things, including car keys and gels. AND nothing has ever fallen out, since that was one of my worries. I also love the feel of the material and I love the waistband and how it works. Although I don?t use Brooks running shoes, literally all my other running gear is Brooks!

Awesome shorts for running and the gym. Love the liner as it makes stretching and core work more discrete. They run a tad big but super comfortable with lots of pockets for gels, Keyes etc.

Shorts are great, they were just not for me. The 5 stars is a shout-out to the employees and the excellent customer service from Brooks.

I needed a way to carry my phone while trail running and have easy access to check my location. The shorts work well for this purpose. The pocket could be slightly larger for a iPhone 11 in a case. Plus the the shorts are very comfortable.

I do not write product reviews under most circumstances but this is one of those times I have to say a thing about a thing. Having owned last seasons Sherpa 7" 2in1 and both of this seasons Sherpa 2in1 5" and 7" all I can say is wow. First to address the phone pocket. Last seasons Sherpa 7" 2in1 with the sub standard sized phone pocket in the liner was a joke. I am happy to report this issue has been rectified and the phone pocket will hold an iPhone 11 MAX with plenty room to zip up. The waist pockets are so well places and can hold small water bottles and plenty of gel shots and energy consumables for long runs. This short is the best thing on the market today for long road runs, or trail runs. But.... The liner has some issues. I have a pair of the 7" 2in1 in which the liner is coming apart at the crotch after only 10 runs in them. I will see how the other three pair I have hold up, but so far this is not a deal breaker.

I love the phone pocket. It sits in the perfect location, and I forget that I even have my phone on me.

Received these shorts today and tried them out. Really impressed - specifically the zippered phone pocket. I have seen pockets implementing the inner liner requiring to lift the outer shell, but these shorts actually stitch the outer shell with the liner so when using the zippered pocket you're actually placing it into a pocket on the liner. This means the phone will sit snugly against your thigh minimizing bouncing. The other pockets ( 4 more) are also quite large and stretchy where you can fit just about anything you would need on a run. This is a winners of far. I'll update later when i get some miles in to see if my opinion changes.

I have tried many (many) different running shorts but these are by far the best - yes, they are pricey, but well worth it - I have 3 pairs now. Perfect front / side zippered pocket for phone (no bouncing), lightweight, side / hip pocket for snacks, just the right length plus a smooth no-seam lining. I was reluctant to buy the first pair given the price but they are seriously worth it

The quality and functionality of the Sherpa has been improved 100%. Lots of pockets and good strong waist band
