I've been using this for years and have now replaced this lid 3 times thinking the leaking would stop but alas it leaks from day 1. I have to be super careful where I put this and if you are driving to a higher elevation beware...it will somehow seep out of the top and spill all over the seat even if it is standing upright (leave the sip open to allow for pressure change). Basically this lid is great if you plan to have it sitting on a desk but if you are doing any sort of outdoor activity/carrying it in a backpack it just doesn't make sense. ALSO do not dishwash this lid!! It WILL lose the rubber stopper. It says dishwasher safe but in all reality it isn't for this reason.

I bought this 3 days ago and it is already leaking. There is supposed sed to be a little rubber thing stoping the liquid from coming out. I looked today and it is just gone. I left it on my bed and it spilled everywhere .

I bought this about 6 months ago, and noticed that this lid leaks. It basically creates a siphen and spills the water out. I sat it on my night stand one night and the next morning it had spilled all over my phone and tv remote. I am very disappointed in this product.

love how you have to buy a whole new lid to replace a 10cent rubber stopper

We've gone through 4 of these lids and within a month or two the rubber stopper falls out and the lid is useless because it will leak everywhere.

I purchased 2 of these for myself and an employee. The straw on both of them is garbage. They don't seal at all so you draw in a bunch of air. It's annoying for how much they charge.

i bought this straw lid about a month ago because i prefer a straw to drink with. Anyways, the lid that came doesnt fit my bottle. Im not sure if maybe thats how its supposed to be, but theres maybe a cm of space between the lid and the bottom of the screw top. Since it doesnt close all the way, my water doesnt stay cold longer than a couple of hours, even with ice! Disappointing. If this is how the lids are fitted to the bottles, then thats a very poor design as it doesnt keep drinks cold!

The only reason I buy hydroflask is because the straw lip was rubber not plastic. The description still says it's rubber but I was sent this cheap hard plastic straw lid. I guess hydroflask cheaped out on quality now that they're more popular. Not happy.

I bought this not too long ago and I keep trying to force myself to like it. I was really looking forward to a straw lid and thought the hydroflask brand would be best. Turns out it leaks, it gets really crusty at the top, and gets really dirty.

I originally was able to buy this cap in order colors with customization. Now I cannot even buy a different color cap with customization. A black cap is not going to look good on my customized light colored bottle. I'm disappointed with the company that change. That being said, I do love the cap and all my water bottles we own from them. Just sad that now all caps will be black and not the color we want. We may switch to yeti instead.

I bought the blue children's size flask with straw lid and within a week, the air plug had fallen out and the flask is now useless since it will not seal and leaks regardless of straw position.

This lid began to leak after moderate usage. Sadly, this was found out while in my work backpack on an airplane which leaked a full 40 oz onto my laptop and others property.

I got the lid with the straw attached to it and somehow my water leaks right out of the straw as you turn it to the side. My bed is wet with a lot of water since my flask is 64 oz. such a waste of money

I just received my hydro flask in the mail. I ordered one for my daughter and one for me, however, my lid doesn't suck up any water. When I try to suck through my straw nothing will come through, not even air. It's as if something is blocking it. I don't know what the problem is.

I understand that the lid is not advertised as leak proof, but there is a HUGE difference between not being leak proof and the straw/lid actually siphoning your drink out. I will have my hydroflask standing up in my passenger seat and the back of the seat (backrest) gets soaked! SOAKED. Like I have to bring out a towel and try and absorb the water and half my hydroflask in now empty. This is with the straw/lid shut. I am in my car for hours at a time because of my job so I like having cold water. But not being able to place my hydroflask literally anywhere in the car is obnoxious. It's too big to fit in a cup holder, but you can't place it on the seat, either laying down or standing up, without it leaking. EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY AND DESIGN.

I received this hydroflask as a gift and absolutely loved the straw lid (I have numerous wide mouth flex cap hydroflasks and this is my first straw lid)- I had no issues until tonight. I set the hydroflask down on my couch sideways, as I often do with no issues, and it started leaking everywhere. Upon further examination, a small rubber stopper that is usually in place to allow the pressure equalization so that the straw will actually allow you to suck water up, had somehow fallen out. Now there is just a big hole that leaks water everywhere. I submitted a warranty claim, but seeing this was a gift, I am not sure if I will be able to get the lid replaced.

Bought a wide mouth flask with straw lid and loved it at first. However, within a month the the straw stopped working. I was unable to get any water to come up the straw and it made a weird noise. My husband really wanted a flask with a straw lid so I purchased one for him. Thought my experience may have been just a fluke. But, within a few weeks the same thing happened to his. Don't understand whats going on. There doesn't appear to be anything physically wrong with the flask, straw or spout...IT JUST DOESN'T WORK!!! So very frustrating! These aren't cheap bottles and to have 2 lids be defective in the same way, I don't recommend this lid.

The straw came cracked on the connected end so I flipped it around and it ended up cracking on the other end. The straw is too small and eventually breaks.

My daughter uses this straw lid on her Hydro Flask for soccer. She had it in her soccer bag which got knocked over and everything in her bag got soaked. There is an open hole at the top. The water can just be dumped out, kind of a bummer.

I got this so that it would be easier to drink out of rather than unscrewing the whole top and having to drink out of like a huge hole. It technically works, but its crazy the amount of suction required to drink anything out of this. I literally am using my full force of suction and the water comes up really slowly. It's slow enough that it's actually really annoying. Maybe I got a defective one or the internal mechanism that allows air to pass through got blocked by something? Not sure but it defeats the purpose of a straw thats supposed to be convenient. The other issue is that the loop is part of the lid is only good for holding. I initially wanted to attach my keys on here for when I went to the gym and stuff. But my normal sized carabiner doesn't fit on it since the plastic hoop is so thick. If I can get my hands on another one I'd be willing to give it another shot, but I'm not really expecting much. Any replacement would probably be same quality.
