Great bottle and the cap works well. I use it everyday as my regular drinking water bottle. I do add drink mixes, and they have caused mold to form in the lid. Once mold forms in the cap, it stains the seal, and can't be removed. The seal needs to be replaced in order to get rid of the stain. The cap comes clean with no issues. I bring my own water into work and refill this bottle one time each and every day, so it gets emptied at least 2 times every weekday. I have sanitized the seal several times, and just reused it. Today I again tried to clean it, and ended up damaging it in the process. I arrived on this site looking for a replacement gasket, and thought I would share my experience.

Love the wide mouth bottle and the cap is very functional. However, once the plastic ring comes off, it's near impossible to secure it back to the cap. Since the cap doesn't seal and the bottle starts to leak. I wish Hydro Flask would take the lid back for repair or offer some tool to put back the ring. It's not environmental friendly to have to buy a new cap every time the ring comes off.

I've seen others having the same problem. The unreachable o-ring seal in my lid keeps trapping small amounts of liquids which then molds, turns brown, and smells. None of which I can change. The container itself is amazing and I love it. The cap appears to have a design flaw however.

I've had this cap for over a year and loved it. Today, this cap was taken from me, but it will remain in my heart. Would buy again.

Rubber gasket- I lost on my trail wide mouth is it possible to get just Rubber without a lid please as a spare accesory ?

i just bought this for my lemon hydro flask. the color looks so good with lemon because i bought the watermelon cap. it use to always leak in a bin at vollyball now there is never a drop of water at the bottom of the bin

I bought this about a month ago. It has been doing great! It never falls off and never leaks.

My initial Hydro flask had the older cap and the second one this type cap. One day I dropped the orginal bottle and the old style cap split and was no longer of any use. This new type cap is in my view far better. One thought however. If you could offer a lanyard that could connect the cap and the bottle neck, it would be even better.

Love my flex cap. Fits perfectly and no leaks. So much easier to carry than the regular cap. Perfect!

The bottle is working great and i love now having to fill a water bottle 3 times a day but recently the cap has started to leak and its not great. If I have it in my bag on its side it leaks and it can get really annoying.

Love this style lid because it makes it so easy to carry on a hike or walking! Can also attach a carabiner onto it and attach it to a back pack of other pack! You do need to wash frequently as mold can gather in the corners of the lid. Good product overall.

I love my hydro flask and have had it for well over a year. I have to keep purchasing new lids as cleaning them is IMPOSSIBLE. The creases in the lids get so gross.

Have used this bottle for a couple of months and the carry handle on it broke. it's a 32oz bottle, so I guess the rubber material for the handle wasn't strong enough for periodic use. My cup and lid are of high quality, but on this piece, the material is just breaking down, dry rotting, and breaking. Sad! I would really like a replacement.

I filled my 40 oz bottle and tossed it in my backpack. 10 minutes into my car ride, my backpack, its contents, and my fabric car seat were soaked from this lid leaking. I made sure I closed it properly multiple times after and it's leaked every time.

I just can't seem to get this thing to work the way it's supposed to. It takes me like three attempts to get it to line up just right and seal. After it just spilled an entire bottle all over my bedding and mattress slowly over hours while appearing to be closed tightly, I broke down and bought a different lid. Would not recommend this lid.

I purchased this cap a month ago because the original cap my hydro came with started leaving black shreds inside whenever I'd close it. I received this one and noticed right away that the handle seemed stiff and would smooth out the more I used it. It hasn't. About weeks ago, the inside rubber and transparent seal came out which I can easily place back inside but will detach every so often. I was in love with the color when I saw it online and it is very true to color in person. However, function wise it keeps the water concealed and cold but seems like it's already falling apart and it hasn't even been half a year yet.

I got a flask with this cap as a gift, but less than a year into using it, the rubber on this cap started peeling. Who knows how long I've been drinking rubber for? It has been an ongoing problem and most of the rubber has peeled off by now. I will be contacting hydroflask for a replacement soon.

I have gone through 2 wide mouth caps and the rubber seal piece keeps getting moldy. When I take out that piece not all the mold comes off of it....

I got a customized yellow widemouth lid and bottle(green 32oz) from my girlfriend and I thought it was great! Only problem is that after the rubber seal fell off my lid my hydro flask does not provide the same effectiveness. It does keep my drinks cold or hot any longer :( I don't want to buy another because I don't need it, but I do wish they would make them better.
