These lids aren't perfect. The fact you can disassemble to clean it is great, but why is there not replacement parts available? All I needed was the red gasket inside the lid as mine had started to show wear and tear from daily use and cleaning, but they are not available. Also the old flip lid had fewer moving parts, did a great job at sealing while closed, and really wasn't difficult to clean. I still have an old flip lid I use on a 12oz for drinking coffee while skiing, I can confidently close it, throw it in a pocket for a run, then pull it out and sip coffee on the lift ride up. I can't trust this lid to do that.

First of all, if you have this and it leaks after you have cleaned it, you probably put the seal in upside down. My first go at it left me with coffee streaks down the front of my white shirt. It's not obvious how it goes in, but put the text side of the seal up otherwise it is going to leak when you drink. Not right away though, but after two or three pulls just when you think it's safe. My issue with this thing is that you can't really sip hot beverages with any control. When you tilt it up to drink, there is a delay as the chamber inside the lid fills up, then it all comes out in a full flow. So if your beverage is too hot for a gulp but just right for a sip, you only get the full gulp and it burns. That full flow isn't the smoothest either, it just feels strange, like it's gurgling out. Imagine drinking straight from a wine bottle with the aerator on it. It just hits your tongue weird and inconsistently. I don't want my coffee with air bubbles in it. Ergonomically as well, it has a mostly flat top, so it gives you the feeling you have to squeeze a little bit to keep it from dribbling out the corners of your mouth. I imagine after some use you'd get used to it with some muscle memory, but after a few days I still find myself in a thought process of how to drink out of this thing without burning myself or dribbling. If you're using this to drink cold drinks, I'd say buy it. For hot items though, unless you like that first sip to be a roll of the dice as to whether you get a tiny sip of "that's a little to hot still" or one solid pull of "I just scorched my mouth," I'd say find something else.

I have been happily using Hydro Flask products for almost a decade. I just don't get these new lids? The old lid was one piece and you could open and close easily with one hand. It was easy to clean. This lid is over engineered to the point of being ridiculous. There is an 8 step process for taking it apart to clean? There are 4 different pieces to take apart, clean, dry, and put back together every time? Are you joking? And to open it, you have to use 2 hands. I used to be able to reach down with one hand while driving or watching my kiddos soccer game, open the lid without even looking, drink it, and then close it without even looking. This one requires me to use both hands and try to keep driving. Who thought this was an improvement? It is just so silly. It isn't better than the previous version, is actually worse in many ways. Such a shame. I wish I was able to buy the old version, not this overthought, over complicated version. It is crazy. Who thought this was a good idea or an improvement?

I have purchased 4 of these lids between March 2022 and August 2022 and 3 of the 4 leak. The leak is between the top portion where you drink from and the bottom that screws onto the bottle. I really like the idea of the sip lid, but not having any luck with them.

It's supposed to be leak proof, and it is when it's closed, but every time I drink out of it it leaks all over me. Literally useless and a normal lid would've been easier.

This kid is awesome! It never leaks and it makes sipping on my water easier that the lid my 20oz bottle came with. Instead of unscrewing a cap, I just twist this lid and get a perfect opening to sip from. Love it and wish they made the lid for standard mouth bottles. I have a 24oz standard mouth bottle I do not use as much because unscrewing the lid is a pain.

Works great. When closed no leaking whatsoever. Easy to clean. More color options would be nice.

It is a nice fit and very sturdy. The color is very vibrant.

Great lid, super convenient. It does leak a bit if you shake it around too much but I suppose that's expected because of the little steam hole it has for hot drinks (I only use my hydroflask for cold water lol). Also comes with a handle like the original lid so it's very easy to hold. Love the product overall

This is the lid you need. If it doesn't come with the coffee vessel you purchased, don't delay...buy it!

I thought it would be difficult to take apart and clean, but it was rather easy. Works as advertised, effortless drinking of hot and cold liquids.

This method of drinking from my Hydro Flask is my favorite. The lid come completely apart for a good cleaning. It gives the perfect guzzle of water!

The wide mouth flex sip lids are perfection! They look great and are easy to use. They are extremely easy to disassemble so you can thoroughly wash them. I love these lids! And the laguna blue is a gorgeous color!

Quick to get a drink doesn't leak as after the two drips that are caught between the lid sections. It can be completely disassembled and cleaned.
