Luv the design. But, sizing in these boots could be tricky. They look big from outside; but inside is a different story. I gave away my first pair, 'cuz I went full size ( 8W ) smaller instead of 1/2 smaller, dudes. This time I got 9 M. They look like 10. However, there comfortable, and I have enough room to use my prescribed insoles. They were made for work. So, don't worry if they look some what bigger on yo'. I'll keep these ones, Brothers...no doub'. Peace out.

Very nice work boot, comfortable and fits well.

I'm going to try this boot as it appears the 8" Valor is not available any longer and this look close. I've worn out at least a half dozen of the Valors and have been extremely pleased with everything about them. The side zipper makes them easy to put on and take off. I've read other comments about problems with the side zipper and how they aren't appropriate for work boots. I disagree. I've had many work boots through the decades in construction and mining and these have been some of the best. A little side benefit is the composite toes which makes it easy to go through airports. Will try these boots and see if they are as good.

I work in the oilfield and I've tried the about 4 other brands since being in this line of work and had to try a different brand so I purchased these ones. Definitely surprised that they have held up for 2 years with no problems. I will definitely be buying another pair.

I use the boot for an active construction site. Mud ,water, and nails everywhere. This boot can handle it all ! It's extremely flexible and lightweight! I feel like I could run full speed!

Definitely just use these for walking, but dang having a boot ready for WHATEVER is fantastic.

Great boots! I work as a handyman so probably they are an overkill. I like how they feel. A little heavy but the anti-fatigue sole does wonders. I would recommend to go a size under #sweepstakes

I have had 5 back surgeries. One of the hardest things I do in the morning is bend over to put my boots on. Having the side zip is so helpful to me. I work in the oil industry and these boots hold up Very Good. Excellent support and stability. I recommend Timberland boots to everyone. Your staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful. I'm very happy with the Timberland brand and will wear them until my time is done! Thank you all very much!!!

Love this boot. I would recommend ordering a half size larger than normal Timberland Pro boots due to the composite toe. The felt comfortable from day one and don't have that long break in period.

Utility worker - On my feet 12. + hours day and night. 100% waterproof built tough , great grip on uneven terrain. The True Grit lace up will be a staple in timberland line for a long time. Field tested and went beyond and above expectations .

I work in an extreme environment. Best work boot I've ever worn. Usually get 2-3 mos out of boots. These last well over a year. Only problem is I can't get them anymore!

I bought this as a gift and they really liked the boots. They usually wear a size 9.5 or 10, but the 9.5WIDE fit well.

Those boots are very comfortable and get you feel very nice all day

Read the comments after I had already ordered so I was a little worried about the fit. These boots are a perfect fit, felt like I put me foot into a mold of my own foot. Great ankle support. They are a bit heavy though, going to try them out at work after I get the rest of my clothes from another vendor. I will agree with other reviewers that the size on the outside is like 2 full sizes in appearance, but the inside fit is perfect (for me).

I decided to give the True Grit 8 Inch a try. I was very happy with the Boondockers but my size was not available. My order arrived in 3 days as promised. I took them out of the box, put them on, and went to work. I walked 14,500 steps and these boots are sooooo comfortable. I had to readjust the right boot once during the day. My feet or back do not hurt at all. I work in the ship repair business and my daily walking surface is multiple steel surfaces, including steps, stairs, ladders, and ramps. I am looking forward to giving these boots the "real test".
