I really love these boots. I bought them as a good outdoor logging boot. I've always been a Chippewa boot guy but took a chance on these and I'm very glad I did. I am a residential plumber. I would not wear these on my job however. I need to work from a kneeling position. These boots lock your ankles in for strong support and do not allow for easy and comfortable kneeling Imo. These boots are great for someone who is use to wearing a logging boot. These boots are not for someone looking for a flexible work type sneaker. These boots also have a very thick sole like a logging boot. I'm easily 1" taller in these boots. Bottom line, if your looking for a boot with very strong ankle support not and not a lot of flex there, a boot for construction that involves being on your feet and not in a kneeling position, this one is for you. Also me personally I do hike in these because I like a strong stiff ankle support boot when I'm in the woods.

These boots are built tough. You will have no problem with durability. They are also comfortable. They feel heavy on foot so if you are not used to wearing boots everyday at work then you will notice that until you get accustomed to it. Thorogood always runs 1 size to a half a size bigger than your normal shoe. But as far as Thorogood boots are concerned, they are a top line brand. You get what you pay for.

When I first put these on I was very happy. That ended abruptly the first day I had to wear them however. They're too narrow which has caused blisters between my toes and I can no longer wear the boots. The right boot cannot be laced to the top as the tongue digs into my ankle. I was able to alleviate that to a great extent by just leaving the top loops off the laces but it was still a mild annoyance. I really hate to have to leave a negative review as they really seemed comfortable at first but one full day on my feet and I realized I was tsol and needed new boots.

My husband said these are the most comfortable boots, no break in needed. This is surprising, because hes got wide feet and usually all shoes hurt him. He did get the size 11 WIDE. To me it felt like shoes were on a heavy side, but he said its fine.

I can only wear these if I don't lace them up to the top eyelets. Lacing them all the way up makes my ankles hurt so bad that I can only wear them for approximately 20 minutes. The ankle support of the shank is not flexible and there is no give with very little padding. Other than that, they are good boots.

Warm and waterproof. Perfect for wintertime. Feet feel comfortable in these for 10-14 hours a day. My feet do not ache in them by the end of the week so that is a plus. They are a little stiff to drive in but its something that can be dealt with. Glad I got these for the wintertime.

Fit and size are good. Nice warm boot for those cold winter days and waterproof for those rainy days. First week and a half I had to break the boot in but once broken in, they felt fine. Feet never hurt in them and they feel very comfortable.

The first few days I was worried because my feet hurt at the end of the day, but after they're broke in-- these shoes are everything I've expected and more. Not only is there steel toe in the back, but also above your heel in the back. I will get these shoes everytime I need a new pair. Sooo comfortable and surprisingly light weight.

Amazing work shoe that is well constructed. Feels extremely durable and clearly a cut above the Cat work shoes I have been wearing- just a whole next level product using any criteria at all to measure. IE form, fit, construction, durability, etc…..I will be buying more Thoroughgood products.

It's a Kool looking boot but I do crouch a lot so these won't do me good, not very flexible.

Light weight, but also well put together. They didn't take long to break in either.

Fit and feel are great!! Nice Boots.

Fit and size are great. The boots are extremely comfortable. However, the sole durability on the L heel is sub par and keeps peeling away requiring repeated repairs.

Good work boots

Worn theses boots about a week so far. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. The boots are a little tough to get on, in my opinion, but have a great fit and feel once your foot is in the boot. They are not the most flexible boot, so walking is a little stiff. Hopefully this gets better. I would have given a 5 star if it hadn't have been for that. As of right now i would purchase again.

Well made boot. My size 10 1/2 fit true to size. Great traction on wet pavement.

The boot was comfortable but shortly after getting for work the metal lace hooks would just break from my normal day to day work and lost the ankle support I wanted.

Overall a great pair of boots, the only problem that I have with them was the over lapping stich on the tongue. Maybe it is just that my ankle bones stick out a little more than normal. But I do love the style and the fact that I can even wear them to work knowing that I can be protected. These feel like I am about 3 more inches taller than normal when I am walking around.
