Nice to find retro all leather tennies

People compliment me on my shoes, I must say. Just a need a little spray to keep them white and protected from water. I am a 10.5 but the straight 10s were the right fit. Great value

My son loves these. They look to be a little wide on his foot, but he says they feel fine. He loved them so much that I wouldn’t return. :-)

The best thing about Zappos is the customer service. If an item does not you call and a human answers the phone and provides everything you need! They email you a mailing slip and you walk into an UPS drop off the box they scan your slip and you are all set. The NEW item arrives 2 days later. I am a huge fan of all the above!!!

I used to wear Nike oxford style leather tennis shoes exclusively. I have no idea how many pair I went through between about 1984 as a teenager through the mid 1990s out of college. Then something changed and the basic all-leather oxford style couldn't be found anymore. It was all glued sole attachment instead of stitching and synthetic materials with mesh and all sorts of gimmicky designs were all I could find. So I switched to Reebok for probably 20 more years. Then I saw the all-leather, simple, stitched-sole Nike in a store and bought a pair immediately. They weren't as comfortable as I remembered my original pairs being in the 80s but I chalked that up to nostalgia skewing my memory and wore them for a few days of break-in. But they didn't ever get comfortable. In fact, they started hurting my feet in the arches. I thought maybe it was just a defective pair so I exchanged them. Same experience. So I gave up for a while. Fast forward another 10 years or so to the present and I saw this pair in an online ad. I thought I would give them another chance. Sadly nothing has improved. I gave them 2 days of wear to break in but there was no improvement so I decided to return them. I can take a pair of Converse All-stars, Adidas or Reeboks and they are immediately comfortable to me. There is no good reason for Nike shoes that, otherwise, exhibit excellent style and quality to be literally painful to wear. Goodbye Nike. It was nice once.
