These are terrific shoes--and I'm SO HAPPY Asics made a narrow style! Asics - if you're reading this - you REALLY NEED TO BRING BACK MORE NARROW SIZES IN MORE STYLES!!! We narrow-footed women depended on you for years and you let us down by discontinuing them. I'm thrilled to at least see this style in narrow. Now, you need to do narrow in Gel Kayano again. You understand "narrow feet sizing" for athletic shoes better than anybody. You must, however, produce and sell them. These (GT 2000 9) are a great start in the right direction. And, I'm thrilled that the one narrow style is NOT BLACK. The blue/teal color is lovely. Really, Asics. I speak for millions of us.

I didn't think I liked these at first. I've never put on shoes that felt like these, especially under the front pad of my foot. I decided to walk around the house in them for a few hours before I returned them. I noticed that I would forget I had shoes on my feet at times. I decided to keep them and wear them 12.5 hours in a busy ER. AMAZING!! My feet have never felt better after a shift. I have plantar fasciitis and was surprised how wonderful these made my feet feel since my initial impression was there wasn't enough arch support for that. After 2 years with it, I can say my feet are actually improving. I've tried numerous style of Brooks, some Mizunos, and nurse mates. I will never go back from asics again!

This style works great with my flat feet, fit my narrow width, and they are very comfortable. ASICS, please don't stop making this shoe in narrow!

I had been wearing an Asics running shoe in narrow width that was no longer being made. I ordered this shoe because it came in narrow width. It is even more comfortable than the earlier model I had been wearing and fits perfectly. I am so grateful that Asics continues to make narrow widths for women's shoes as so many other brands are only making medium width shoes now.

Love love love my Asics... I have been wearing the GT's forever - they're super comfy, very supportive all while lightweight! However, I'm not sure why Asics decided to use the current mesh fabric right above the toes?!?? In less than a year, I'm on my second pair of 9's and like the first pair, the fabric right above my big toe is falling apart, even though I lace up so my feet are secure and my toenails are short. Just really bummed about that part, hence the 3 stars overall, otherwise, I'd give them ten stars! Thankfully, I've been able to find the previous model GT-2000 7's that have much better/sturdier fabric above the toes.

This is a stability shoe and it's designed to hold your foot in place. It has a snug, stable fit throughout the shoe. There is some tightness in the heel and midfoot, (especially the midfoot), and the toe box is on the shallow side. If you are only looking for arch support and not a snug fit, or if your foot is on the wider side, take advantage of the widths offered and get a wider size. These shoes are nothing fancy to look at, but they are sturdy, supportive, and durable. The cushioning in the forefoot was improved from last year's model, but I found them to be a bit stiff through the midsole. The material on the upper is breathable. This isn't a great shoe, but it's a really good shoe and would probably work for most people looking for a shoe that provides moderate stability. I was on the fence with this one for a while, but ultimately went with a New Balance because it had a wider sole that made full contact with the ground. As a walker, rather than runner, that style worked better for me.

Loved these when I first got them, but after two months of wear they're starting to get holes in the top from both of my big toes. I've been wearing asics for 10+ years, getting a new pair every 6-12 months and have never had an issue like this before. I average 20-25 miles/week and was super disappointed to see this so soon after purchasing.

They look so nice! I am a normal size 8, maybe a little wide in the toes. Could barely get my foot in the shoe and when I did, my toes were visibly poking through the top. Maybe better for narrow feet?? Need to return. Sigh.

Thank you, Zappos and Asics, for making available this decent color in a women's size 13 running shoe. The shades and styles of Asics 13Bs have been scarce lately (my last pair was a horrendous neon yellow with neon accents). I am thrilled with this pretty color and am glad I didn't have to sacrifice style to accommodate my extended size. PLEASE... Zappos AND AsicsL continue to grow your style options for us taller women with bigger feet. Don't bring further attention to our bigger feet by selling them only in drab or outrageously bright colors. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I thought I was going to have to try another brand after years of wearing these, my perfect running shoes.

These shoes fit perfectly. I'm usually a 10 and in sports shoes I prefer to wear half a size up, so a 10.5 was ideal. Nice design, very light and absolute comfort. I totally recommend this product. The delivery was timely.

After reading the reviews, I ordered half a size larger and wider than I normally do. I ordered size 9.5, Wide width; I'm usually size 9, Regular width. And the shoes fit perfectly and feel amazing. My feet feel like they're floating on clouds and just got massaged. And my calf injury doesn't hurt when walking. I love these shoes.

I have a very narrow foot and I am happy to say this shoe fits nice and snug and also fits to my instep which is an ongoing problem I have with a lot of shoe brands....

The GT 2000 is the only style that Asics still offers in Narrow (and Asics is the only athletic shoe manufacturer that makes a true Narrow), so it has become my go-to athletic shoe for my slim, low volume feet that have plantar fasciitis and other tendon issues. I have several pairs of the black GT-2000 8, and this updated 9 model fits almost identically. The teal blue color is a nice change, and the only difference I can see is that the volume of fabric in the front of the shoe looks a bit more streamlined. Feels the same with a good firm foot bed and arch support. Wish this shoe had a greater differential (only 10 mm vs 12-13 in prior Asics Narrow styles) but the excellent arch support makes up for that. If you are a true Narrow, get this while you can.

Sometimes I think more expensive must be better. I also bought a pair of ASICS for $149 VS these that were $119 and liked both of them... I worked out ONCE in the $149 ones and they killed me. I returned them via the “30 day runlimited” thing and zappos is, as always, amazing and took them back after two workouts in them... they killed my toes, the way the material bent was stiff and weird... i went back to the $119 shoes the ASICS get 2000-9 and they’re the best, cannot be beat. Thank you zappos.

I love ASICS! They are basically the only athletic shoe I wear. I wear a narrow width and have found these to fit the best. They fit well on the heel and don’t slip. My feet are happy!!

I cannot quite describe how disappointed and annoyed I am with these shoes. (See photo). I exercise every day, have worn ASICS along with Brooks forever, but I have never had ASICS actually start coming apart from poor design and manufacturing in 5 months. Since I live in a warm, humid climate, the design of these shoes was perfect. The arch was good, as always. But the “breathable mesh” has become hole-y mesh. How and why are my toes pushing through after 5 months? Should I return them now??

I a 76 year old in need stability and good arch support. These, size 7 medium shoes felt terrific right out if the box; however, I'm sending them back. Did not care for the particular mesh used on this style or that it continues right over the end of the toes without the toe guard on the exterior of the shoe. Another women made the same comment. Sending them back only for that reason.

I first ordered 8.5, which is the same size of my last pair. I have worn this model for 10 years. They were too big, with about 3/4 in. length beyond my big toe. The size 8 almost feels a little short, but works with a thin sock. I really like this shoe... Great arch support and cushioning. But I have found over the years, that the sizing is very inconsistent. I suggest ordering two sizes to try.

I’ve taken these for long and short runs and so far they are awesome! I was a huge ASICS fan for years but switched to Mizuno last year. Went back to ASICS and they definitely did not disappoint! I will be buying another pair soon! Always go 1/2 size up too!

For some one with a narrow foot and heel, I'm always surprised when I find a shoe that fits well. When I saw Asics had these in narrow I decided to give them a try. They fit terrific and seem super comfortable. I'm thrilled. I also like Brooks Ghost that comes in narrow but their colors in the 13 for narrow are too depressing - black and black with violet. Why you be hating on those with narrow feet? Excited to give Asics a try with this fun blue color.

This Asics legend continues to impress! The GT 2000 v9 is lightweight, supportive and has a softer feel! Still utilizing Duomax support system to provide enhanced stability. Now the upper has a one piece mesh upper to improve fit while also providing support. In addition, "FlyteFoam" technology and "Gel" technology are combined to give exceptional responsiveness and soft cushioning. I've put in many miles in these shoes from fast workouts to longer runs and through all distances this shoe proves to be a reliable work horse. Having many versions of the GT 2000 I have to say that this is my favorite update yet to the model!
